My Experience With DashLoan

My Experience With DashLoan

I strongly recommend that anyone considering DashLoan do their homework and understand exactly who they are dealing with before signing anything.

My experience with DashLoan changed significantly once I experienced financial difficulties. I communicated with them, explained my situation, provided information and documentation, and made it clear that I intended to honour my obligation and pay the loan off.

Despite that communication, I experienced repeated aggressive contact regarding payment arrangements. In my opinion, there is a major difference between legitimate collection activity and repeatedly pressuring or intimidating a borrower who is actively communicating and trying to resolve the account.

I have kept records of my communications, payment arrangements, banking issues and the information I provided to them. I have also requested clarification regarding their Ontario licensing/regulatory status and the basis for some of the statements being made to me.

Ontario borrowers have rights, and lenders and collection agents are still expected to follow applicable Ontario laws and collection practices. Ontario specifically advises consumers to verify whether a payday lender is licensed and provides a process for complaints when consumers believe the rules have been broken.

My advice to anyone considering DashLoan: read every part of the agreement, understand every fee, keep screenshots and emails, and document every interaction.

This review is based on my personal experience. I am not saying everyone will have the same experience, but mine was serious enough that I felt compelled to document it publicly and pursue the appropriate complaint channels.

Borrowers deserve to be treated with professionalism and respect, especially when they are communicating in good faith and trying to resolve their debt.
