It's very glitchy Outdated posts, frozen load listings, chrashes and extremely expensive They just know it's almost a monopoly, so why change anything

My last 10 years of experience using DAT Power.

I have been working with DAT throughout the last 10 years as a dispatcher and this is the best load board that currently exists. The amount of loads as well as freight market data is unbeatable. Data especially helps you a lot in understanding the market better and making better business decisions.

We have a great partnership

Great company with competitive loads to beat. One of the largest load boards in North America for carriers to bid, and for brokers to service their clients. Simply the best. DAT was used by our sister company with amazing experience, and we are now partners.

Good for finding loads but don’t trust credit score system

DAT is a good load board but not without its problems . The main problem I ran into is the credit scoring system provided by Ansonia. This system is created from data between Ansonia Credit Data members. No outside sources, weather it be customers or reviews are included.
This leads to a false inflation of credit scores. I personally don’t know the legality of this but I would call it shady at best. It also allows other DAT customers to be taking advantage of if they are not members of Ansonia Credit Data. If you provide a credit resource it should be vetted to be fair , impartial. And correct data.
(Update), I’m willing to challenge DAT or their trusted partner to prove that CDL1000 (mc#905208) deserves a 90 credit score. Even on the DAT loadboard reviews are 83% negative for nonpayment over 90 days mainly. This company doesn’t pay carriers period. Yet, they have a 90 credit score. The only reason they are able to get a load is the credit score on DAT .
I’m just reporting a real problem that exists. It’s up to DAT to take action to fix it.I am just trying to help others not fall into this trap. I would think providing a good value product to your customers is what matters but I guess not. I guess by Ansonia being a valued partner they can’t be wrong. Isn’t that the same mentality that Enron partners had and we see how that worked out. Well I pointed it out.

Hi Cleo,
Thank you for your feedback. The accuracy and fairness of credit scores is a top priority to us. We've trusted our partner Ansonia to report this information in a fair and unbiased fashion. While Ansonia does have their trusted and vetted sources for credit reporting, they do allow carriers and other vendors to report data. The Ansonia credit score along with reviews posted in the DAT Directory allow our customers to gauge the reputation of brokers posting to the board. If you have any specific concerns you would like to address, please contact us at customer.support@dat.com. We would be happy to answer any of your questions.
(Update), We understand and appreciate your concern regarding this broker and have escalated this to our partner to further clarify. What we can say is that credit scores are typically recalibrated at the first of the month, which means that there can be delays when it comes to ongoing patterns of payments. Just as someone is not able to ask for specifics surrounding a personal credit score of another person, the same can be said in this case for this company and so we are sorry to say that we are unable to provide you with the data that is backing up this company.
We do have a complaint process to handle bad brokers who are not paying carriers and if you have not received payment, we encourage you to report that to our compliance department. In the event that we have found there to be a trend in non-payments and the broker is unable to do right by their carriers, we may deem the appropriate action to remove them from service until all complaints are resolved. For this reason, we highly recommend that carriers report non-payment concerns to DAT once it has passed that 30 day period since invoiced, so that we can mediate the issue and decrease any risks there may be out there for our carriers.
In the meantime, we genuinely understand what you are saying about our credit score partner and have provided your feedback and reasons behind it to the appropriate department. We may be able to help discuss this more in depth with you over the phone as well if you are interested. If you have any other specific questions for us, you can reach us here at customer.support@dat.com
