THE ART OF IDENTIFICATION - Like all of the best inventions and ideas, the concept of Datatag is simple but utilises state of the art identification technologies to permanently mark and protect your property. Datatag makes your vehicles and property identifiable to the Police in such a way that is virtually impossible for a thief to defeat, therefore the risk involved in stealing this marked property becomes high to the criminals who tend to avoid stealing the property in the first place.

Poor security and bad service.

I've been trying to register my, already datatagged motorcycle, with my details.
All that's required is a registration number and £20(!) No unique I.D. needed prior to payment.
Emails ignored, VERY poor security and VERY poor service.

Out of date practice and bad customer service,

Bought a data tag for a trailer, you can’t register online? in this day and age ! I was told by email i can send in paper copy(that can get lost in post) or call the call centre to register, but after calling was told no they have given me the wrong advice and i have to go back to the seventies and send in a bit of duplicate paper. What a joke! bought a few of these, will be returning the rest.

Not impressed

Had various motorcycles with Datatag systems installed as standard. Recently purchased a 'new' motorcycle and tried to change ownership over online. After several attempts rang the 'helpline' to discover that it was run by a 3rd party who were not aware of how the website worked! Downloaded the form to fill in but some of the questions are ambiguous and not self-explanatory. Not impressed!

Be careful where you where you apply it.its my first new motorcycle in my life (77) really disappointed. And you won't know if it works until it's stolen. I only fitted it to reduce my insurance but not sure if it does.

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless. I’ve paid for the service, registered my bike which is showing as registered their end - however they are unable to give me my membership number over the phone, it was never received in the post and they can’t send another copy as their printers are broke. They also can’t email the correspondence as they can’t email over race or off road kits. So basically I’ve paid for a service I cannot get due to their own malfunctions and issues and no one can rectify this. My insurance company now want to cancel my insurance because datasafe can’t give me my membership number. USELESS

Great after sales service from Datatag

I bought an E-bike Datatag from Amazon. I etched my bike and then found out that the tube of microdots had gone hard and couldn't be used. Amazon could only offer a refund if I returned the item which I couldn't do as I had already etched the bike. I contacted Datatag direct who informed me that the Amazon item was very old and out of date but they supplied me with a new tube. Datatag don't supply Amazon with their products so the the solution is not to buy from Amazon but an official outlet or Datatag direct. Many thanks to William at Datatag!

My first purchase of DataTag for a motorcycle. The various videos available indicate that this is one of the ways to protect my motorcycle, and I can see that I will be able to complete all the necessary elements to use this pack of elements.
A decent price to, using Bennetts BikeSocial discount, so thanks DataTag for this need-user support.
I’ll update once I’ve completed the fitting.
🙏👍
