Absolute radio silence after placing an order. After a week they couldn't offer a delivery date, the "customer service" simply said it'll be "tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday" just listing days of the week at this point. Don't order from these clowns

Bought railway sleepers A grade. The delivery was on-time. The driver was contactable and pleasant. Overall, very happy with the quality and service provided.

Ordered 3x scaffold boards for a furniture project. They took just over a week to arrive, which was better than the website predicted it would take, especially as it was over Easter. Boards are in perfect condition, and are around 16-18% moisture content, which is absolutely fine as they'll acclimatise in my garage for a couple of weeks. Can't wait to get started on my project with them! I'll definitely be back for more in the future.

To be honest one star is too much but I can’t select zero.
Anyway I never write a review but I feel I need to in this instance.

I recently picked up x30 2.4x200x100 railway sleepers from David’s Timber in Dunstable.
I have to say I’m absolutely shocked with poor quality of the (L) oak sleepers and recommend that by no means anybody is fooled by these.
The cuts and measurements were shocking.
205x95?
End cuts not true.
Split and warped.
And a banana doesn’t even compare to some.
It’s not like the odd one was bad but well over half.
I guess you get what you pay for but no way will I ever use these again.

This company was very helpful from my initial contact with them to the expected delivery date. My email was responded to swiftly and any information needed fully given and explained. After my purchase online I was kept up to date with the order, receiving a phone call over the weekend to let me know my delivery was expected on the Monday morning. Excellent service highly recommend.

Purchased a 3m x 30cm length of untreated timber, cut to 1.5m lengths, delivered rapidly to my door and left, as agreed in a safe place. Communication throughout was perfect and I sanded, aged and waxed and hung on my wall the next day! Great Company, cannot recommend highly enough.

Took a punt at this site for some scaffolding boards for a garden bar.

The only concern I had was delivery. There was no ETA other than "within 10 working days" and I got a text the evening before, with a delivery slot for very early the next morning

By luck, this was a day off and it arrived before I had to leave for the school run, but it was more luck than planning. Had I not been available, the company had closed before I got the text, so there would have been a wasted journey for the driver, and an incurred wait for me.

Just a touch more advance notice of dates would make it 5 star, but yeah, that's my ONLY minor criticism. Can't fault price or quality, and certainly will recommend and will use again.

Just had timber delivered today. Driver went out of his way to help me which I really appreciated. Wood quality looks outstanding. I will be a returning customer :). Chiara

I placed my 1st order a few weeks ago at the beginning of January 2026 for 24 Oak sleepers to be delivered to site in Dorset to tie in when I was actually on site. Viktorija had all this sorted very efficiently and advised me that she would text me an eta on the Sunday evening before the scheduled Monday delivery. She did just that, wow!!..on a Sunday!..

The company then sent me an email on the Monday morning to confirm things too.

The driver then contacted me 3/4hr before his expected site arrival asking for WhatsApp location to be sent through to him. That, I did.

The driver arrived as expected and was very courteous and him and I had the 24 sleepers offloaded in no time at all. The sleepers were perfect and the service impeccable...

The Oak sleepers are being used to restore a Georgian Kitchen Garden.

Great quality product and quick, well informed delivery. We ordered some unbranded scaffold boards for use as a rustic counter top for an outdoor kitchen which was an experiment that has worked really well. So impressed with the company will definitely be using again for future projects.

Came across these guys when sourcing scaffolding boards to use on a shelving project. Price seemed good and the photos appeared to be exactly what I was after. I was not disappointed. It was delivered in good time and looks great. The comms from Davids Timber was great to, letting me know the steps in delivery.
