I hesitated to buy these shoes even though I kept going back to them simply because I’m in my 50s and wasn’t sure I could pull off the look. Thankfully, I bought them (size 8 White). They are wonderful! They’re comfortable and, though they look delicate, they can handle my daily errands. They give a certain ethereal edge to my outfits. Minimal yet dreamy. I’m extremely pleased with this purchase. Five stars across the board. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recently purchased a pair of boots on sale from the eu.dearfrances.com website. The price of the boots was listed in Euros (€453).

I was unaware that this was a UK brand and that customs charges would apply. Unfortunately, this information is not communicated at all during buying process until the very last step when calculating shipping costs. If you use express checkout, as I did, then you might miss these additional charges being applied.

Upon receiving the boots, I realized they weren’t quite right for me, so I requested a return. Initially, I was told that I could only exchange them, but after referring to their own terms and conditions, I received a return label. However, I’ve now noticed that the customs charges are not refunded. While this aligns with their terms, it contradicts their tagline of “free returns worldwide” displayed prominently on their EU website. This, in my view, is misleading to customers.

Although their shoes are nice, I don’t plan to buy from this brand again due to these issues.

The best sea grass on your feet!

I’ve had rough experiences in the past, so had concerns…. Dear Frances your sea grass loafers are so comfortable! So chic! I love them.

I have been trying not to buy ANOTHER pair of boots all winter, but I knew I was in trouble when I saw the ‘wood’ version of the Jia boot. These are delightful in every way. A truly tall boot - I’m 5’9” and they are genuinely knee high, and tailored/slim on my calf in a way I’d always hoped boots will be (but rarely are). Initially a little snug, with the second wear they were perfect. The leather is not super soft but rather structured, but the boots are comfortable for all day wear right out of the box. The patent textured tone of the wood version is the best brown boot I’ve ever bought. A genuine win from Dear Frances on this one.

Shoe fits to size, great color. A little wider and more rounded in the toe box than anticipated. But fun and comfortable.

This has been more comfortable than I assumed. I have had long walks in them and not felt any discomfort, still new to the slides but love it so far.

in love! My feet are just on the wider side of average at the balls and the first pair I ordered based off of the size chart was a little snug on my pinky toes. Customer service was helpful in providing me with enough information to make a decision on whether or not I should size up or consider a different style. The replacement pair I ordered fit perfectly, are so soft and I stare at them long enough to make them blush.

This is a beautiful summer slide. Perfect heel for casual wear but could also be dressed up. The leather piece that goes across the top of foot is the perfect size and holds the foot in place which is very comforting in a slide. I am 6 and I ordered a 36. Because I have a thin foot, it was a perfect fit but I do think the width of the shoe (starting a the arch back to the heal is on the narrow side) The length of the shoe is true to size. If you have a fuller foot you might have to size up.

This is my second pair of DF boots, but the first pair that I purchased new. I have the Spirit boots that I bought second hand. I knew that these boots would be very high quality based on my Spirit boots. I waited years to buy these boots because they are quite spendy. I searched for them second hand and for less expensive alternatives. When the color I wanted ended up on sale I finally bought them. I am so happy I didn’t compromise. They are absolutely beautiful and so comfortable!

Ordering process was easy and the items arrived quickly and beautifully packaged. When I had a query about a return they handled this quickly and the problem was resolved immediately. The boots are a gorgeous soft leather and beautiful colour. I will definitely look at Dear Frances again when I next look for shoes.

These boots are so comfortable. Buying online can be iffy but these are just as expected.

I got from them my most unique and comfortable heels. I’m in love with the tone of green and how it can actually work with different colors and styles making my outfits more fun. I love that they are light weight too! Seriously bravo 👏

I’ve ordered the mesh flats in black and can’t believe how comfortable they are. The delivery was very prompt and the shoes were packed beautifully. Quality is second to none and they feel like made especially for me.
I think I will get the white ones as well because they look so stylish and will look great with many summer outfits.

These are incredibly comfortable boots - I can walk anywhere in them. But what I really loved was the shape of the toe and the way the heel is balanced. Elegant AND comfortable? Yes please.

The military green Iris has been a welcome addition to my boot collection. Since I already owned the black Iris and LOVE them, I felt confident in adding another color to my wardrobe. This green is a neutral; goes with so much. The style of the Iris is understated so the olive color compliments my outfits but doesn’t “scream”. They fit like a glove and have become molded to my foot as a well made leather shoe should (I wear a size 8 regular and and very slim ankle). The 2 inch block heel adds to the all day comfort of them as well. Looking forward to the military green Iris being part of my “uniform”!

These shoes are true craftsmanship. The quality is amazing. So beautiful.

They were slightly bigger than my normal size but Dear Frances quickly returned them and supplied a smaller size. Very happy.
