Terrible company stay away!

I recently ended my gym membership with Teme Lesiure Ludlow, my account was suspended due to working away.
I received confirmation from Teme Lesiure, stating my account was cancelled with nothing further to do. Since then I have been chased by DFC for monthly payment with extra fees being added every 7 days. Terrible company, stay away from any Lesiure centre using them!

Fraudulent company shall be reporting

I cancelled my gym membership xercise for less, after a struggle in 2018 and paid an early cancellation fee. I have just discovered that since Sept 2019 without any authorisation they have been stealing £24.95 a month from me. The DD showed Debit Finance, which all this time I thought was a subscription service until my partner discovered it wasn't as they have done the same to her.
That is over £700 for something I have never used and was never authorised. £1400 between us! This is clearly theft, and I shall be having this company investigated for fraudulent activity.

I have been in contact with this…

I have been in contact with this company for several weeks. Despite being told I would receive no further charges to my account, I am still being contacted about further charges. I had to wait over a month because my doctor was ill and could not do my letter. Then told they could only cancel from date of letter.. I cancelled my gym membership due to ill health and my father being diagnosed with terminal cancer!! My husband is speaking to his friend and solicitor regarding the stress they are causing me. Yet to be settled

Heartless scammers

Agent confirmed that my direct debit had been cancelled by someone. But simply shrugged and politely said (paraphrasing) not our problem.

SO I paid an additional 30£ late fees for a clerical error that was not my doing, they acknowledged it wasn't my doing and yet still wanted to charge me.

I hope these guys have an awful 2023 for scamming people amid an international recession and billing crisis.

Disgusting company

Disgusting company. I was unable to continue using a gym they manage, as I was suffering with severe sciatica. I have a very manual job, so chose to terminate the contract on medical grounds. They are expecting me to pay over £400 for services that I havnt even used. No matter how many emails or phone calls I make, they are adamant i have to pay it. Otherwise they are sending debt collectors round!!! Absolutely disgraceful, stay well clear

Cooperate thieves!!!! They steal from innocent parents

I have never dealt with a company so dodgy and ruthless. They don’t deserve a single star. They are scamming parents via swimming lessons. Charging outrageous late payment fees. I called today to make a final payment for lesson to be cancelled but they want to charge me a late payment fee because they were closed on the 1st jan which was a bank holiday.

I would like to put minus 5 but…

I would like to put minus 5 but unfortunately there is no facility to do so. I was informed by the gym that our 36 month contract was complete and to cancel the DD. On doing so I received an email 4 days after the due date saying my payment was late and a 15.00 charge was added. I called and was told that no more charges would be added and to sort out with the gym. Whilst waiting for this to be dealt with I have just received another email stating that I now owe these despicable people 42.00. This also goes for my wife too, so now there are perusing us for 84.00 how totally disgusting? And to top it off I used the gym 4 times in 3 years

One star too many - disgusting company

Disgusting company - one star is one too many!
I have been aggressively chased for a DD for my daughters swim lessons which I cancelled in plenty of time and therefore not due.
2 x £15 charges applied even though I had replied via email immediately to query - which they conveniently ignored. Had to phone in the end and waste over an hour of my own time trying to get this resolved.
Aggressive staff who tried to blame me for everything, including them not answering my query email as they hadn't checked their old email account - the one I'd been given to contact if I had a query. Unbelievable. I'm fuming and will not let this rest until I have a resolution.

Terrible company

Terrible company, i wished to cancel the contract and did so well in advance of the 30 days. The email address in my original contract with them was incorrect so it bounced to my junk. I then get a text saying I am overdue on payments.

I was told by one member of the team that the cancellation was successful and I didn't have to make further payments but I then had two emails to the contrary. I will never do business with this company again as the staff have been unprofessional with mixed messages.

This company is a scam and a disgrace.

I was told that I could cancel my gym membership by Direct Debit at any time. Funds are very tight at this time of year and with gas electric etc, the gym is just not affordable right now.
Cancelled the DD only to get a threatening email saying I still need to pay the gym membership plus an extra £15. And if I don't pay that £15 in 7 days, I'll be charged another £15. I'm never using 247fitness ever again. Disgusting.

Can I do less than 1 star?

I signed up to a community gym in Rochdale and after calling and cancelling my membership they insisted on another months payment.

Due to the cost of living crisis my payment didn't go through. I haven't used the facility since cancelling. Then they state I owe a £15 admin fee for late payment, even though I've cancelled.

No doubt the threatening emails will start if I don't pay them

I have had a mix up on my DD payment and now they are trying to charge me 15 pounds for a text message they sent to inform me.I have spoke with them and they are no help whatsoever.Stay away People they are Charlatans.

Scam…

Let me tell you how this scam is working and this aren’t the only ones! So, let’s say you’re in financial difficulties and you’re looking for a loan, at least this was my case, when you apply for a loan you provide all of your details like debit card or bank account no, from here it’s just one small step. This is how they fraudulently took £26 once and another £50 today from me when I noticed and deleted their fraudulent DD. You’ll never be able to recover this money from them so don’t bother too much just make sure you won’t provide your details to any fraudulent site which they promise you a loan but instead they’ll take money from your account!
And now the person hired to answer to all this complaints it will come to say…
“So sorry to hear what happened to you please send us an email with all details and we’ll look into your issue” - the person payed from my money and yours!

I am quite dissatisfied and angry…

I am quite dissatisfied and angry because I sent an email to unsubscribe on Nov 4 and they never answered, I also called and no one answered. I also don't understand why I have to notify one month in advance (something that was not communicated to me at the gym and I trusted the reputation of the gym, not yours) and now I "ow" 300 pounds without being able to go to the gym Simply because of its abusive policy and lack of transparency, which I don't think is right.

Fraudsters

Yet another person who's had a direct debit taken when I don't have a membership. All the reviews are the same. Needs reporting to the police as a scam company. This is fraud. Edit: I did email you via that email yesterday as per all the other comments, but I've had no reply. What a shock.

Joined a gym for 16.99 a month. First month they tried taking £137.40 from my account and sent me a threatening letter when it failed saying they charged me an extra £15.

SHAM! SCAM! SHAMEFUL!

Sham company that should be closed down! Taking money out my bank FOR OVER A YEAR that I did not authorise and I have NEVER been a member of a gym! Shocking!! How you can take advantage of people during such times of uncertainty is beyond vile of you and you should be ashamed of yourselves.
Also, dont bother replying with the email address your dishing out to everyone because ive tried that and it's invalid! What a shocker!! I intend to escalate this anyway I can to ensure I get my money back and others don't get stung by this!
