If you've ever researched a relative's service record from the National Archives of Australia, you know the feeling: page after page of faded forms, clipped abbreviations and handwriting that meant everything to a records clerk in 1943 and almost nothing to anyone since. The story of your digger is in there - you just can't read it. That's what we fix. Upload the image pages from your relative's record and we decode every entry: every posting, every hospital admission, every embarkation, every abbreviation spelled out in plain English. You receive a Word document telling their service story from enlistment to discharge, with the history explained around it, plus an Excel spreadsheet holding every entry with its exact original wording beside the modern translation. We believe these stories belong to the next generation too. Through our Digger Scholarships site, we work with Australian schools to get students researching, writing and connecting with the service history in their own families and communities - because remembrance works best when it's handed down, not just looked back on.
