Sadly

Sadly, I can not recommend this company's products. After just a couple of years, both my bathroom and kitchen floor have failed to live up the promises made by the company when installed. They still advertise their finishes as resilient but they are anything but. The bathroom finish is badly stained by the most simple products such as a bar of soap. The kitchen floor has all pitted and is very difficult to clean. When these problems were pointed out to the company, they suggested repairs at my expense with no guarantee of solving the problems. I informed them of my disappointment to this "solution" and received an incredibly rude email in return saying that I was lucky that they were willing to do anything, as the original company had gone into bankruptcy! So why are they still trading?

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. The quality of the job was poor. After lengthy negotiations, we agreed on a compensation. Then the company declared bankruptcy and now claims they have no money. Unfortunately I did my due diligence too late: it turns out that its Director did this trick several times before. His name is Oscar MOSQUERA LOPEZ and should not be allowed to become a director of yet another company.

MISERABLE LIER FOR £ 1000
Many companies worldwide have closed due to the pandemic, leaving them bankrupt; mine is not an exception. It is despicable that you are using an unrelated past issue to launch unwarranted attacks against me over a mere £1,000. We have been unable to pay you because the company had to shut down. I agreed to pay the £1,500 you demanded in compensation simply to avoid any further interaction with you. When I inspected the floor, it appeared to be nicely and properly installed. However, you failed to apply the necessary protectors to prevent scratches or marks, which was your responsibility.
You must be a miserable person who takes the time to write bad reviews for a small family business that unfortunately has not been able to get ahead after the pandemic. It is incredible that "economics professor" has time to damage the reputation of a humble family company you should be ashamed MISERABLE

Do not use Decora Cement!

Do not use Decora Cement! It is unreliable and not helpful!at all!

I had agreed with this company to make micro-cement flooring for the kitchen & dining room of my house.

After the operation has been performed , the floor surface has given full of cracks and stains. And it's barely been a year. Decora failed to achieve a good quality finish.

We are extremely disappointed with Decora and the result of their services.

Unfortunately, while they do not take any responsibility for this, they show unprofessional and reckless attitudes.

We requested that Decora should repair the flooring because of their incompetency, they wanted charge again to fıx the floor with the full price!

According to the information I received from my builder, a different substance was used on the surface without informing me and they did not contact me even though I am the customer.

It would be best if you guys learned a professional work ethic to doing business in London.

Dear N.T.

Thank you for your review, however as we have not yet received an enquiry from yourself, we are unable to identify this project in our system. It may be that we have dealt with a different individual in regards to your project. If that is the case, please do contact our office via email whether it be yourself or the person who we have been dealing with so we can locate your project in our system.

Please do bear in mind that, in general, cracks are formed due to the movements in the sub-base. As microcement is a decorative coating of a thickness of only 2.5mm, it cannot cause such cracks in the sub-base and will only follow the pattern of the sub-base. We provide all clients with the Preparation of the Surfaces requirements, as well as the Care and Maintenance which states the above and how this can be avoided.

Do feel free to contact us directly at info@decoracement.com with your project information and we will be more than happy to assess your case and assist you further with this matter.

Avoid at all costs

I used Decora to do a microcement kitchen floor and worktop about a year and a half ago. It was a complete nightmare from start to finish. Communication was awful, the thing ended up costing a lot more and taking way longer than initially agreed, and worst of all they left us with a faulty product that after a year and a half has completely cracked due to water penetration and will cost thousands of pounds to fix as it has also damaged the surfaces that were covered with it. They also damaged kitchen units during installation. Every time we tried to communicate with them about any issues the company director would send me bizarre texts telling me that I was impossible to please no matter what etc. I tried taking them to small claims court but that would've resulted in them being given a choice to fix the install as the first step in the resolution process and I cannot bear the thought of being in touch with them again. I'm only leaving this review here as I want to warn others not to use this company to save them going through what I've been through.
