★☆☆☆☆ Your AI ignores your prompts, then they refuse to refund you
★☆☆☆☆ Your AI ignores your prompts, then they refuse to refund you
I subscribed to DeeVid to generate a series of short videos for Instagram Reels to promote my book. I provided extremely detailed, shot-by-shot prompts with precise visual direction for each scene. What I got back was unusable.
Their AI agent ignored my instructions repeatedly. I asked for darkness. It gave me bright scenes. I asked for anonymous running feet. It invented a man walking. I asked for 9:16 vertical. It generated 16:9 landscape. I asked for an Umbrian village. It described a stone canyon. I asked it to use my exact prompts. It rewrote them every time. I had to correct it over 15 times in one session.
240 credits wasted on outputs that didn't match what I asked for.
When I contacted support, my first email was completely ignored. My second attempt got a generic copy-paste response telling me they only refund when generation "fails completely." Apparently generating the wrong thing entirely doesn't count as failure.
Their final response? They quoted their own Terms of Service back at me: "subscriptions and purchases are non-refundable." No accountability, no resolution, just a wall of corporate apology language and a hard no.
If you need AI video tools that actually follow your direction, look elsewhere. And if something goes wrong, don't expect DeeVid to make it right.
They'll take your money. They won't deliver what you asked for. And they won't give it back.
Price is fair for the time DeeVid AI…
Price is fair for the time DeeVid AI saves me, honestly. Just wish the credits didn't burn so fast... you have to watch your usage like a hawk.
The system kept ignoring prompt instructions
The system kept ignoring very clear instructions whilst swallowing up credits. Would be worth the money if it produced the content as per the prompt, but too risky as most of my credits were lost regenerating. Buyer beware
DeeVid is a scam
I used their demo to create a transition of a photo of my son to a photo of me. Worked great but I want to remove the watermark and adjust the length of the video. To do this I subscribed to the software. Soon as I tried to make the new video, it kept giving me errors. We I followed up with DeeVid I was told I violated their policy. You cannot use photos of your own children to make content as it violates their policy. What a load of crap. Let you do it in the trial but not after you pay for the subscription.

I wanted to buy a $15 monthly subscription, but by mistake, I was charged for a $300 annual subscription. I reached out to cancel since I haven’t used the program and only wanted to try it. I even offered $50 as a goodwill compensation, but they never responded. Very disappointed – I do not recommend dealing with them.
Messing around with DeeVid…
Messing around with DeeVid Text-to-Video and the audio sync is tight. I expected some delay but the sound matches the video perfectly.
The DeeVid AI Image Generator spits out…
The DeeVid AI Image Generator spits out 4 options at once. not gonna lie, some are weird, but i usually find at least one usable pic in the set.
Charged on monthly bases and it's impossible to get a refund or cancel the account.
I signed up for a free trial with DeeVid AI, but I wasn’t satisfied with the results. Despite that, I was automatically moved to a paid monthly plan and continued to be charged.
There is no clear or valid option to cancel the subscription directly through the account settings, cancellation appears to be possible only by contacting customer support. When I reached out, instead of offering a refund, they offered additional credits.
This experience was frustrating and disappointing. A transparent cancellation process and fair billing practices are essential, especially when offering a “free trial.”

Avatar AI advertised in all plans but mathematically impossible to use
I purchased the basic plan ($7/month) specifically because
all plans — including the cheapest one — advertise "Avatar AI"
as an included feature, with no asterisk, no condition, and no
additional clarification.
When I tried to use it, I discovered the system requires a
minimum of 810 credits per video. My plan only includes 100
credits. This makes the advertised feature completely
inaccessible — not just difficult, but mathematically impossible
to use with the credits the plan provides.
The same applies to the $35/month plan (600 credits). Only the
$159/month plan (3,000 credits) can actually use Avatar AI.
This is never disclosed at the time of purchase.
After raising this, the company approved a full refund in
writing. However, they then cancelled my account without
processing the refund and stopped responding to my emails.
I have documented evidence of everything: the plan advertising,
the 810-credit minimum requirement, the written refund approval,
and the account cancellation without payment. I have filed a
dispute with my bank and reported this to consumer protection
authorities.
If you are considering any plan below $159/month and your goal
is to create Avatar AI videos — you will not be able to do it.
That feature requires credits far beyond what those plans
include, and this is not disclosed before purchase.
⚠️ UPDATE (March 2026): The refund was eventually processed — but only after I filed a bank dispute and submitted a formal report to consumer protection authorities. It did not happen voluntarily.
The original complaint stands entirely: Avatar AI is advertised across all plans but is mathematically impossible to use on any plan below $159/month. This was never disclosed before purchase. My account was cancelled before the originally approved refund was paid.
If you face a similar situation: document everything in writing, file a bank dispute immediately, and report to your local consumer protection agency. That is the only reason this was resolved. No company should require this level of formal escalation to honor their own written commitments.
Extremely disappointing experience
Extremely disappointing experience. I paid $35 for the Pro Monthly plan and ran out of diamonds after only a few short 8–10 second test videos. The credit usage is excessive and not clearly explained before purchase.
The AI ignored clear instructions and produced unusable results. The pricing structure feels misleading and poor value for money.
I would strongly advise others to review the credit system carefully before subscribing.
BEWARE...Even their own AI Agent Says They Were Unfair!
BEWARE...This company has a terrible and unfair payment policy and are not willing to make it right when they mess up and it costs their customers credits (money). The DeeVid AI Agent even agreed with me that I was being forced to expend credits to fix mistakes that were caused by the DeeVid system not correctly using my accurate and well structured prompts and detailed reference materials. This is a direct quote from the DeeVid AI Agent: "You gave clear references, a detailed sketch, and precise descriptions. The system not translating that accurately is not your fault. You shouldn't have to pay for the system's learning curve on your project."
I shared this information, together with appropriate details, with DeeVid customer service. I was basically told "tough luck" and no credits were refunded. I am not someone who writes negative reviews or complains. But this was just such a bad experience, I had to share it.
Bait-and-Switch Scam: Fake Luna Dream Machine Redirect to Deevid.ai
I was searching for Luma Dream Machine. The first result was a Sponsored ad saying "Luna Dream Machine," but it redirected straight to deevid.ai's Pricing page—I didn't catch the switch. I purchased a subscription thinking it was the real tool.
Tried to cancel on their site: The red Delete Account button wouldn't work—it said "You have an active subscription and cannot delete your account at this time. Please contact us..." I did, but they refused with "no refunds per Terms of Service."
Luckily, I canceled recurring payments directly in PayPal and got my full refund through a dispute after providing evidence of the deception.
Beware! This is a classic bait-and-switch—check URLs carefully and avoid these knockoff ads.
DEE VID AI IS TERRIBLE
DEE VID AI tool says it has the capacity for uploading multiple reference pics to create a video BUT instead duplicated the very first uploaded photo instead of allowing for multiples & the horrendous unlikeness between the original 1 x photo & what DEE VID AI created is actually laughable. Iv had it for a whole 2 hours & have just canceled my subscription. Dont bother.
I feel like I've been pickpocketed
When I first tried this app, I was amazed and loved the GIF files. It was producing me so I signed up for the yearly lite membership.
As soon as I did this it started making terrible designs taking 20 credits for every piece of rubbish produced and I burnt through more than half of my credits trying to reproduce something that could be used and never found any success.
Stay clear of buying credits. Have fun with the free tries then get out before you feel like you’ve been mugged.
Email you complaints with photo evidence and they just say tough luck.

Absolute waist of your money
Absolute waste of your money even if you try the $10.99 weekly plan.
Glad I didn't waste as much as others. And, I agree that what they're doing is intentional.
When you edit a photo they don't even use the same people that were in the original photo, and they even put them in different locations even when not prompted to. When trying to add sounds, for example: singing. The voices are extremely distorted and in some language that no one has ever heard of.

This is a straight-up scam
This is a straight-up scam. Avoid it at all costs. Don’t sign up for anything— not even a one-month subscription. It’s a trap. I generated three videos and it cost me $14 for a pathetic result. The quality is mediocre, the voices are unbearable with zero nuance, and once again it’s outrageously overpriced for such a lousy service.

Was ready to fight with the settings on text to video, but DeeVid gave me a decent result on the first go. tweaked the prompt slightly and the second version was even better.
