I have been using Delcampe since 2011. In that time I've found it easy to navigate as the ability to translate from any language to another, the easy financial transactions and the overall high qualit... See more
While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Excellent service, but all costs transferred to buyers are pinching. Some sellers charge for registered shipping with a tracking number but never provide it. Please make it mandatory for them. Some se... See more
Delcampe is an excellent and very transparent service. Often the only way to find some items. Changes to the site now make it very clear what the site costs and shipping charges are. This fixes earl... See more
The interface is clear and easy to use, and almost all the sellers I’ve dealt with accept price offers and are genuinely open to negotiation. Nearly everyone has been reasonable and polite. Yes, I pa... See more
After being a user for 2 years and have…
After being a user for 2 years and have bought 4 or 5 articles there i did my first sale, so they without any reason just cancel my account after the buyer have already paid for it.... they have the buyers money, they have some money i still had in my account and ofcourse the buyer after this thinks i am not legit.
Terrible platform that evidently does…
Terrible platform that evidently does not care about it's appalling reviews. I received an email from Mangopay, a company with an equally poor online reputation, saying that I would be charged for having an inactive account. I tried to log in to Delcampe to cancel my account but could not get through the password reset procedure. I suspect they are doing this on purpose.
Platform fees
For some time now, buyers have been required to pay so-called "platform fees," while sellers can sell for free. Delcampe apparently wants to attract more sellers, but it seems there are already more than enough of them. However, the number of buyers is declining, and it's precisely those buyers who are now being penalized. How much longer will Delcampe survive?
offputting mystery
Still no idea as to what "tariffs" I will be charged if I buy through Delcampe. Today, an amended "Charter" which had a link to buyer tariffs - but that led to error 404 message. So I'm very unlikely to be buying anything.
suspended.
A few years, I have an account on Delcampe.
Without sending a message, you will suddenly be sodied from Delcampe.
I only found out while logging in.
If you want to go on it again, they want proof that I am the person in question, as if you are a criminal after all these years.
And then also, if you want to make a purchase, then you also have to pay platform costs. Is this normal?
No website does this, where you can buy second -hand items
Offers no buyer protection
Offers no buyer protection, if you get scammed they will not step in or refund per their policy.
Out of Control Bureaucracy
Moved and so changed the billing address for my credit card, which I use all over the world. But in order to change the billing address on Delcampe, Delcampe expects me to upload my passport, birth certificate, driver's license and proof of my residence. They call this "for security reasons". But this intrusion, to say nothing of putting all my sensitive documents on the Internet to PDF to them, is secure? Freaking crazy!
Charging the BUYER the Platform fees
Charging the BUYER the Platform fees? I will not buy on Delcampe again and no wonder my stuff listed at Delcampe does not sell. I bought some lower cost stuff on Delcampe and I was sent invoice with Platform fees to be paid by me, the buyer, I thought it was a joke.... Last time I buy on Delcampe.
First and last time user of this site.
First and last time user of this site. Obliged me to register a bankcard in order to make a small purchase, utterly ridiculous and completely unnecessary. I paid, cancelled the registration of the card and, following receipt of my order, I'll close the Delcampe account too. Couldn't have a designed a less user-friendly experience if they'd tried. Why???
Delcampe claim that my account has been…
Delcampe claim that my account has been hacked, but it took them over month to tell me this. So, they closed the account. Now they tell me that I have to create a new account and re-list everything. (Thousands). They kindly sent me a link to their bulk uploader (Which is terrible), but didn't tell me that I have to pay to use it. When I questioned what happens to the funds in my Delcampe Pay account (Now known as MangoPay) I was told that the hackers emptied the account, it took them two withdrawals, not the one that I would expect any hacker to do.
Why did the account have to be closed? A simple password change would have worked. Frankly I don't believe a word that they are telling me. Like someone else has stated on here, disagree with them and they close your account and ban you. I've saved them the trouble and told them to close it anyway.
By the way, a couple of months ago they decided that the buyers should pay the sellers fees, so they amend the selling price upwards to reflect this. Basically, if I list an item for £10, they amend the selling price. This makes the sellers uncompetitive compared to other selling platforms.
I'm glad to be out of it.
stay away
Good things:
-Lots of items
Bad things:
-Bad customer representatives
-Delcampe pay
-Management closed to suggestions If you argue or criticise their site they immediately close your account and ban you for unlimited time
-Users selling fakes items
-Reporting fake items not work
-Scammers
-Blocking buyers and sellers not include messaging they can still harass you.
-No buyer protection
-Terms and conditions are not good read before accept it.
Buy from more reputable sites.
I was buyer for this site almost 13 years. I got no disputes,no unpaid invoices,no negative feedbacks. I made 10000+ transactions. And one day I paid twice to a seller which is my mistake and I want second payment back and he starts harassing me through messaging system of the site. I blocked him but blocking not worked so I immediately contacted support and they said they could not do anything so I wrote this kind of thing never happened any other site and BAM they immediately close my account and ban me. After that I open another account and they close it as well and say that they will take legal action against me. After I apologize for my behavior even tough there is nothing to apologize they still won't let me open account. The sellers are same in all the sites so you will not lose anything. So long story short they must hire more professional representatives. By the way seller still sells in the delcampe.
no shipping to usa they immediately close your account if you are us buyer.
now they put platform fees to buyers
they are running for bankruptancy.
Edit:They took the Trustpilot site to court in May 2024 and had the comments deleted. They have a management that cannot tolerate criticism. What a shame. You better close your site and do other things
