I ordered my food at 8:10 PM and it was supposed to arrive by 8:55 PM, but it was finally delivered at 9:40 PM. The app did not update the delivery time until I started my second chat with support, and then suddenly showed 10:00 PM as the new arrival time. Support repeatedly claimed that “the bike broke down,” but this was a lie — the driver called me and said he had only picked up the food from the restaurant long after the promised time.

My niece was left hungry for over an hour. Deliveroo did not even call to apologise for the delay. There was no urgency, no accountability, and no empathy. This is not the first delay I’ve had with Deliveroo, and I cannot recommend their service.

scammers! dont try to order here! they will just take your money without giving your orders. i dont know how you run a business with this kind of policy. this one should be stop! money is our hard earn money and you will just take it like that without giving my orders. shame on you! shame on people behind this deliveroo company! shame on you guys!

Delivery not arrived.
The order never arrived, the rider kept my order without even calling, and the customer service was terrible and couldn’t resolve the issue

Poor quality assistance - defending restaurants sending smaller portions while paid good prices.

Order was late. After one hour of waiting, I contacted them. Amany over the chat was sarcastic and unrealistic, telling me that after one hour , and after exceeding the delivery time window that was provided when we order, the order is not considered late. they kept me on the chat for 20 minutes until the delivery guy came. That was 1.5 hrs waiting to receive the food.
Food arrived cold as well because of the delay.
She said the restaurant was late to give the food but as per their notification, it is their driver who arrived late to pick it up.

DELIVEROO IS A TOTALLY SCAM DELIVERY. IMAGINED, I ORDER SOMETHING WORTH 800 AED. AND NOT HAVING A CHANCE TO ANSWER THE CALL CAUSE I WAS IN A MEETING, THEY ARE TELLING THE DELIVERY IS WAITING FOR 13 MINUTES NOT EVEN TRY TO MAKE A BELL IN MY HOUSE OR EVEN LEAVE THE ITEM OUTSIDE RATHER THAN PUTTING IN THE APP THAT THEY DELIVERED THE ITEM EVEN IF THEY DIDNT. NOW, THEY ARE TELLING THAT THEY CANNOT REFUND THE AMOUNT OR REDELIVERING THE ITEM WHICH COST 800 AED. IMAGINE THE TRAUMA IM GETTING TO THIS COMPANY, CUSTOMER SERVICE ALSO IS POOR ALL REPLY LIKE AN AI REPLY.

Worse experience i had with food orders, i payed by card but the delivery did not arrive then they said they went to a different location, i told them they have my number and they also have my correct address written in the App. Then the delivery said they will dispose it and we need to contact the customer service and when we did tbey said they cant help us, i already un installed the app and use NOON its so much better.

Very bad apps. Customer service very unhelpful. They are giving invalid reason. They are putting promotion for firstime but can't use the voucher. And they will say that you are old customer. Even just now you download the app and register

I’m honestly fed up with Deliveroo. Despite having a Pro account (wife account) and being shown huge banners promising “on-time delivery or your money back-20 aed-!”, the service is consistently late. Orders are always delayed, and the estimated delivery time keeps getting pushed back without any real explanation or accountability.

It’s not a one-time issue — it happens again and again, across different restaurants and times of day. What’s even more frustrating is that when you try to contact customer service, they’re dismissive. You’re left feeling like your time and money don’t matter.

If you’re considering Deliveroo for reliability — don’t. Even with a paid Pro subscription, they can’t keep their promises. Total disappointment.

Deliveroo are taking money off customers and even if you get damaged, spilled items of groceries or rotten food they will say it’s perfect!!! Someone has to take them up. I bought tinned tomatoes that were all dented and leaking and they refused to refund or collect the damaged items! Thievery!!!

Worst service ever! I don’t recommend Deliveroo to anyone, I placed a food order at 8PM and the delivery time is 12:30 Midnight!!!!! There is no way you can contact Deliveroo. I have never seen a worse service than this in my life. I will delete the App and share my experience with everyone. NEVER USE DELIVEROO!!!

I placed an order through Deliveroo and applied a coupon. The total showed AED 60.5, but they charged me AED 110.5. I contacted their customer support several times, but they failed to resolve the issue and offered no real solution. This was an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience. I will never use Deliveroo again and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Bad customer service

I made an order through Deliveroo app to KFC and the food I received was half which I had to dispose and once I complained and requested a refund they refused as it cannot be done shame on you Deliveroo for scamming customers with low quality service

They are cheating the customer along with restaurant by taking order and not fulfilling and also not letting cancell and charging by force.

Very unprofessional Delivery service the Rider name Asad he took wrong parcel and he didn't receive my calls and i Direct call to Delivero the Delivero person not take it seriously.. very disappointe experience with delivero

Very pour experience and second time in 1 week. Food not delivered and showed as delivered but in wrong house. This is unprofessional and support is useless and don't improve despite comments. I am shifting to Careem

Very disappointed with Deliveroo. Ordered a tuna pizza and waited nearly an hour, only to receive the wrong order. The pizza that arrived was bland, cold, and definitely not worth the price. What made it worse was Deliveroo’s resolution — generic, unhelpful, and far from compensating for the poor experience. Also surprised this restaurant has such a high rating on the app — either the reviews are outdated or completely misleading.

Honestly, I’ve never had this kind of issue with Talabat — faster service, more accurate orders, and much better customer support. Might stick with them from now on.
