This company habitually uses misrepresentation to acquire card details and then auto enrols customers for their subscription services. Basically it's a scam trap similar to the one Amazon Prime got slaughtered for. Hiding auto enrol tick boxes on their site is a frankly despicable con and is a indictment of the companies that operate these practices. Evidently Deliveroo operate this policy so should be regarded in the same light as the phone fraud warning and Nigerian money transfer scammers we all get plagued with. If they cannot operate in a decent, straightforward and honest manner then they shouldn't be in business.
Worst customer care service
Worst customer care service. I ordered food at 8:03 PM and it was showing that it was coming at 9PM. However, after some time they updated order to 9:30, then 9:45. I needed to go out, so I could not wait more. I lost my order because it came at 10:10 PM and I had already left. No refund or any other compensation for time lost waiting and food.
A Deliveroo disaster!!
I ordered a take away from one of the restaurants on the Deliveroo site, the delivery guy didn't bother to push my buzzer. But I received a message telling me he left my order at my concierge. Which is strange because I don't live in a building with a concierge!! So I called Deliveroo to find out where my order was and they couldn't tell me , then the guy on the phone went to check something, well so he said, but he left me on hold for 14 minutes before he eventually just cut me off without any apology or explanation!! I never received my food or a refund , so basically they stole from me!! I believe the delivery guy just kept my food and ate it himself as he was nowhere near my address with my food!! The customer service team are incompetent and don't have any customer service skills! I've now had to contact the CEO to raise the complaint with them.

Wish I could give minus stars. I haven’t used Deliveroo this year or since moving to my new house and they keep inexplicably charging me for nothing.
Their customer support is despicable, avoid at all costs. Cook for yourself or find an alternative other than supporting this nefarious company. Disgusted by them.

Worst delivery company ever, had 3 orders in may, first one wasn’t delivered but as long as courrier marked it as delivered my money gone, last two missing items, like half of order, no support no possibility to contact delivery person. I suggest avoid this company

Awful customer service! After being inexplicably charged for their subscription service I complained. Got no compensation whatsoever but was happy to just have it dealt with.
Now I have been charged again! I haven’t used this company in over two months and they are charging me!

Horrible customer service - will steal your money
Horrible customer service - a bunch of thieves. Please order elsewhere. I had another account with them when I was in Brussels and I was a loyal customer. They will seem like a great app only when things go smoothly, as soon as you need their support, they will vanish. The app told me my order was delivered, it wasn't. I tried to speak to multiple people asking for a refund, no reply. Then, they suspended my account saying I was told that they cannot do anything about it and I was leaving unfair reviews. NOBODY reached out to me about the order, leave alone gave a reason why they couldn't help. Will never order again and actively tell people not to. I paid 21euros and waited 2hrs for food that never arrived.

I ordered a pack of cigarettes wine butter and a pack of salad ... the cigarettes never made it with the order .... I paid £3.99 delivery fee. I was only given the cigarette money back .... why didn’t I get the delivery fee back too as I would have to reorder right ? I don’t really get how that works.....but I would say I will not be using them again as I hate crap customer service.... so I went to reorder with my £12.50 and have to pay£3.99 again I’m disgusted with the way DELIVEROO chose to deal with THEIR ERRORS.

Undelivered meal not refunded - customer service rudeness
I ordered a meal and I waited... The delivery man had the address of my office, the name of the company, the floor and the office number.
My phone didn't ring but the courier could simply ring my doorbell.
At one point I looked at the app that proudly displayed the words "your meal has been delivered".
Wrong, I hadn't received anything. I phone the restaurant. The person who answers me that it's not his problem and that he can't do anything about it.
I call their so-called "customer service" who tells me exactly the same thing.
I have never seen a company with such a lack of respect for the customer.
I lost my lunch money.I have removed Deliveroo from my applications... and I advise you to do the same.
Fraud
Complete fraud, sometimes they highlight free shipping and when the order is proceeded you get to notice that you've been charged extra for the shipping...
Is it me or the website is broken, I paid for one order but it was proceeded as two orders instead now I get to forcibly pay and eat for 2 people instead of myself only!!
