I would strongly advise caution when ordering from this company.

My order was split into two separate shipments without any prior notice, which resulted in over €196 in customs charges. This could have been avoided—or at least communicated transparently beforehand.

When I contacted customer service via WhatsApp, I received a dismissive response stating that duties would have been the same regardless. This is misleading, as splitting shipments can impact how customs fees are applied and handled.

After multiple follow-ups, they eventually agreed to cover the customs fees for one package—but only after I had to push persistently.

To make matters worse, one of the packages contained a completely different item than what I originally ordered.

Although the designs on their website look appealing, the quality does not reflect the price. The fabric attracts dust and dirt very easily, making it impractical for regular wear.

Overall, this was a disappointing experience due to poor communication, incorrect order fulfillment, and lack of professionalism. I would not recommend ordering from this brand.

They claim these items are made to order - they're certainly not. The quality is horrible. The sizing is off. I received an item I didn't order and they charged me a tariff on that item. The item I did order they refused to return. Horrible customer service, horrible company. If you need to, Revolve has their items and you won't be charged a tariff.

I ordered 3 dresses late November, which I never got and was unable to get a refund. I was charged, but I never got an email confirmation or any updates on dispatch or shipping. I messaged customer service through whatsapp and did not get a reply until January. Again, I ordered the dresses in November. Of course by the time they sent me information, the order was being returned to the sender via DHL because customs were not cleared. They claim they cannot re-send them, so I will never get my dresses now. Please do not order from their site!!

A really poor customer service experience, no dress and no refund

I wanted this to be my wedding dress and they have left me heartbroken! I reached out to the company first by WhatsApp (as per the little chat icon) and confirmed my measurements and was told to go the custom route. I checked the production and dispatch time for this and they confirmed it was the same as standard pieces (5-7 business days). Before purchasing still, I asked them if I would have my product by end of November (purchased on 14 November) to which they agreed saying it was possible. Fast forward to the end of November and not only do I not have the dress, but I haven’t even gotten an email confirming it was dispatched. I had received one email at this point, which was just the order confirmation.
I reached out to them again on WhatsApp and they advised it was under production and would shipped in the next 2 days. I waited 4 days and nothing, so contacted them again. They had the nerve to just send the exact same message ‘under production will be shipped in the next two days’
I write back advising them I was very dissatisfied and wanted to cancel the order and be refunded - to which they agreed. They gave no further information about how this would work, any costs associated etc
I followed up 4 days later as I hadn’t received an email or text from them about it. They sent through a dodgey looking screenshot showing which claimed they refunded 50% of the order for duties. No duties had been incurred because I had cancelled my order before it had been produced and sent..
the screenshot also showed in the top right corner ‘just now’, making me believe they didn’t fill out the refund when they said they would and had instead just done it that moment. I asked how long would it take to recieve the refund and the response was incoherent and said check with PayPal. Well I have and they have not received any cancellation information, or refund. I am actually still being charged by PayPal (I used the pay in 4 option). I continued to go back and forth with them and they even tried claiming at one point the item was delivered, despite all my earlier messages, the cancellation approval and absolutely no email communication about the order. Their final response to date - ‘it’s been delivered and we have offered 50% reimbursement for duties’
Firstly no you haven’t ‘offered’ anything. You haven’t actioned it, but it wasn’t an offer, you said it was already done. Secondly, how can you claim it was delivered after all of our conversations and you confirming it would be cancelled.
I have left comments on social media (instagram) asking about being contact etc and like other comments I see, they have been deleted. I got a DM from the business and the responses have been unhelpful just apologising for a delay and saying the team will contact me via WhatsApp. Now they even view my messages and don’t reply.

Again, this was suppose to be my wedding dress! Don’t offer a service if you can’t provide it!
I have made a claim through PayPal and will continue to message them on both WhatsApp and Instagram. But after weeks of disappointment and reading reviews similar, I don’t like my chances! Please do yourself the favour of reading these reviews before purchasing.

I’m extremely happy with this dress

I’m extremely happy with this dress. The quality is impressive, the fit is perfect, and the colour looks exactly like it does online. It looks even better when worn, and I received so many compliments when I wore it. Truly a great buy — highly recommended!

Faulty Custom Dress and No Customer Support

I ordered a custom dress for my graduation and provided my exact measurements, but when it arrived, it was far too short and completely unwearable. I immediately emailed the brand to request a replacement, as the dress was clearly faulty, but after sending three emails, I still have not received any response.
I am extremely disappointed in the nonexistent customer service. I would have much preferred to resolve this directly with the brand, but the lack of communication has made that impossible. Because the dress was unwearable, I had to buy another outfit last minute for my graduation, which was stressful and frustrating.
Overall, this experience has been very disappointing, and I cannot recommend ordering from this brand.

MOST HORRIBLE UNPROFESSIONAL…

Absolutely a truly truly horrible brand. You look at the designs on their website & they’re beautiful but the experience of buying from here is horrible. I’ve ordered a dress 3 weeks ago and on their site they state 5-7 working days for it to arrive. Not only did it come with a £110 duty tax which is not calculated anywhere but they managed to get the export/import code wrong MEANING THAT THE PACKAGE WAS RETURNED BACK TO SENDER IN INDIA BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T EVEN BOTHER TO PUT THE RIGHT CODE ON THE PACKAGE AND CUSTOMS COULDN’T ACCEPT IT. It’s been over 3 weeks no replies from costumer service even though I’ve written to them multiple times meaning they’re holding my money HOSTAGE and won’t reply to giving me a refund or arrange for a free shipping ON TIME. Not even mentioning the duty tax which I need to hope to god to get refunded. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Extremely unprofessional, slow, unaccountable and not worth buying from here!!!!!!!!!!!!

AVOID

Please please read the reviews. Don’t buy from here. They sent me the wrong colour dress for an awards night in London. Bad choice though as it’s a big female awards night and Netflix are there. I will never let them get away with this. I will be getting my money back too. Mark my words!

Wish I could go back in time and stop…

I went back and edited my review to reflect my full experience:

I originally ordered a dress for my welcome dinner for my wedding and wasn’t happy about the quality or the fit. I contacted the company and eventually they got back to me to offer a different dress which I ordered. They even put an inner lining in it for me since it’s for a wedding and it was shipped to me just in time for me to leave.

Although initially I was unhappy with the experience, the team at Deme by Gabrielle worked hard to turn my experience into a good one and now I have a gorgeous dress for my welcome dinner.

A scam.

A zero if I could give a zero. I should have read these reviews before spending over $500 USD for something I never received. Customer service is incredibly unprofessional and shifts total responsibility on the customer. Avoid at all costs. This brand is a total scam.

Deeply Disappointed – Poor Quality, Deflection of Responsibility, and Unprofessional Communication

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Deme by Gabriella. I purchased the Marisa Dress for a destination wedding, and after only two hours of wear, the hardware completely failed — the ball bearing detached from the screw mechanism, causing the bust section to come apart and leaving me indecent in front of guests. I was forced to restyle the dress mid-event, with the help of others, just to remain appropriately dressed.

From that point on, the customer service experience has been just as frustrating as the fault itself. Rather than taking accountability for what was clearly a hardware quality issue, I was repeatedly badgered for my bust size, even after I had explained multiple times that I had chosen the correct size based on their own sizing chart and that the fit was perfect. Despite providing detailed information, photos, and a video of the damage, I was met with constant deflection of responsibility and vague claims that “incorrect sizing” may have caused the issue — an excuse that simply doesn’t apply to a detached screw.

Their communication has been slow, dismissive, and littered with spelling mistakes, which further highlights a lack of professionalism and attention to detail. Every exchange felt like an attempt to shift blame rather than resolve the matter appropriately. Even after I reluctantly provided my bust measurement in good faith to move things along, they still refused to take accountability, insisting the issue was mine rather than acknowledging a clear manufacturing fault.

This entire experience has shown a serious lack of business etiquette, product accountability, and respect for customers. For a brand positioning itself as luxury, the standard of quality and professionalism has been shockingly poor.

Furthermore, their practices and handling of this matter do not align with UK consumer protection laws, specifically the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which requires that all goods sold to UK customers be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. Deme by Gabriella has failed to meet these basic legal standards.

I would strongly advise against purchasing from Deme by Gabriella. The quality, communication, and customer care fall well below what is expected — both ethically and legally.

I wish I had found these reviews before…

I wish I had found these reviews before purchasing this dress. I have never paid such a high duty tax before, and it was in no way made clear on their website. I ended up paying 50% in taxes on top of an already very expensive dress, which arrived crinkled, crushed, and definitely not the quality I had hoped for. On top of that, it doesn’t fit properly.

After paying €150 in taxes, there is nothing I can do, as they make it clear that returns are not possible. When I contacted the company to explain that I had no idea the taxes would be so high — especially as no other international order I’ve made has ever come close to this — I received an unhelpful and dismissive reply, basically telling me “too bad.” They even said if I returned the dress I wouldn’t be refunded.

Terrible service for a very overpriced dress. Hopefully my review will save others from making the same mistake.

BAD EXPERIENCE

Well..i had to pay around 50% of duties that they told me is said in their site..i dont know where..should be really small letters..they answer to my mails after a while and said they will refund half of the money if i sent proof of payment..of course they didnt..and YOU CAN NOT RETURN ANYTHING SO BE CAREFUL!!!

AVOID AT ALL COST

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAM WEBSITE! This site is a complete FRAUD run by scammers in India. They are lying about everything and stealing your money. I opened a case with PayPal, and these con artists had the nerve to lie to PayPal too! This whole brand needs to be SHUT DOWN ASAP.

I paid an absurd amount for this dress, and what do I get? A missing shawl that was supposed to come with it—ruining my chance to wear it at my wedding! My entire wedding was messed up because of this. I waited almost TWO WEEKS for a dress, only to get a damaged, defective item that smells like cheap perfume! It’s so obvious this is a RETURNED item they are trying to sell as new. I can’t believe how disrespectful and dishonest these people are.
