While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

VPS offline for more than 24 hours!

My VPS was offline for over 24 hours. Offering 10 days of service as compensation does not seem appropriate given the seriousness of the outage. Unfortunately, this has led me to lose confidence in the service and move to another provider.

DO NOT TRUST DEPLOYNODE

I opened a paypal dispute because the advertised VPS was different from the one I got.
Deploynode won the dispute, by providing fake evidence, deleted the VPS and banned my account.
I'm in contact with paypal to recover my funds.

Ancient versions of Debian as the latest option; nothing but pain.

You get exactly what you pay for. With the $11 server option, the latest Ubuntu version available is 16.04, whilst the latest Debian version is 8 (in 2020!! 8 is EOL, Ubuntu is to be too). I don't mind the painfully slow updating with apt as it's just a cheap server, but for the operating systems available to be four or five years old is absurd. Installing anything is an extremely painful task as packages you'd expect to be available are just not available in the repositories. I struggled to even install certbot (with backports too) as it's nothing but issues with this ancient Debian version. It's 2020 for god sake, why are five year old distributions the latest available? It surely can't eat into your profit that hard. Seriously, consider spending a little more on a VPS as otherwise you're signing yourself up for a bad time.
