Epic trip down memory lane!

Epic trip down memory lane with my 12yo daughter who was enthralled by the games and technology i enjoyed when i was her age, We spent hours playing on the BBC B, had a geeky pilgrimage through the ZX Spectrum cassette games cabinet and reminisced with many memories of my 30yrs of Apple ownership. An absolute treasure of a venue and huge thanks to the volunteers who keep this running. You are all legends!

Awesome trip back into home computing history

I got my own first home computer (Amstrad CPC464) at the age of 11 in 1984. Whilst most were content to play games on these early home computers for me this was my introduction to programming and I was hooked.

Later moving into the 16-bit world with an Atari ST this continued and ultimately led to University followed by a 25+ year career as a Software Engineer.

I have fond memories of those early years and Derby Computer Museum is like a time machine. First time in a long time since I've experienced these great machines in physical form - took me right back to all those years ago.

There is so much to see here and all the machines are in working order and available to tinker with. You'll no doubt bump into like-minded people and you can share your stories of when 8-bit computers ruled our childhoods.

Great experience.
