While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more
To protect platform integrity, every review on our platform—verified or not—is screened by our 24/7 automated software. This technology is designed to identify and remove content that breaches our guidelines, including reviews that are not based on a genuine experience. Desai Fabrics is a family-run textile house dedicated to sourcing exceptional, high-quality fabrics with a focus on craftsmanship, luxury, and individuality. What sets us apart is a deep commitment to curating fabrics that are not only beautiful, but meaningful — textiles with heritage, artistry, and purpose. Every fabric is hand-selected for its character, provenance, and the story it tells, whether it is a Swiss-made embroidered cotton, an Italian-woven jacquard, or a couture silk with a rare, intricate print. Unlike large retailers, we offer a highly personal and knowledge-driven experience. Customers receive tailored guidance, thoughtful recommendations, and honest insight into fabric suitability, drape, handle, and garment potential. Much of the collection consists of limited runs, designer deadstock, and exclusive finds you will not see on the high street. The business also stands apart for its sustainability ethos. Instead of discarding imperfect or end-of-roll pieces, we re-home them through its Clearance and Outlet ranges, encouraging creativity, resourcefulness, and reduced textile waste. With a growing online presence, a welcoming in-store atmosphere, and a reputation built entirely on trust, integrity, and word-of-mouth, we endeavour to bridge high-end couture quality with accessible, personalised service — offering a fabric experience that feels curated, inspiring, and truly one of a kind.

What a wonderful stall at The Stitch Festival. The sisters were helpful and delightful to chat to. I bought some beautiful vintage Tana Lawn. Their shop is in Golders Green and I plan to make a visit!
They are so well informed and sell beautiful fabric, lovely and friendly will come back soon!
I had some issues with a PayPal payment and Desai couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant. They went over and above to sort the problem out. The fabric, a Cotton silk mix is gorgeous. Looking forward to sewing it up for the summer. Would definitely buy from the them again.
