Desert Recovery Centers provides mental health and substance use treatment across the Phoenix metro area, with residential programs in Glendale and Scottsdale and an outpatient location in Phoenix. We are accredited by The Joint Commission. We treat adults for alcohol and drug addiction, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and co-occurring conditions. Care is offered at several levels so people can step down as they stabilize: residential treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and standard outpatient. Our residential homes are small by design. Fewer patients per house means clinical staff know each person by name and treatment plans get adjusted based on how someone is actually doing. Programming includes individual therapy, group work, family involvement, medication management, and discharge planning that starts in the first week rather than the last. We work with most major commercial insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare, on an out-of-network basis. Our admissions team verifies benefits and explains expected costs before anyone commits. We also accept private pay. We are not able to accept AHCCCS, Medicaid, or Medicare, and if that is your coverage we will point you toward programs that can help.
