I did not had a good experience
I did not had a good experience. I was looking to rent Multistradas as they heavily advertised but the owner tells me
that he doesnt work with them anymore since thay are “not reliable”. I decided to work with him bc i liked his vibe so he offered me a BMW GS850 ( about 10 years old) but days before of my rental, the owner texted me telling me that the BMW GS 850 that i booked, broked down (he kindly send me a video..). He offered me a Benelli TRK 502…Oh boy…I accepted…
My brother in law, rented a 10 year old GS 1250 well mantained but far from being new.
My Benelli from 2019 was as far from new and with 42k on his wheels i should have known better..
2 days before the end of our trip, the motorcycle dies on me, Battery.. The owner tells me that the bike was in perfect condition and to run out of battery is a variable that can happen, (not when you have a well mantained bike, not the case. the battery looked like was being operated by a submarine due to the level of corrosion). We all had to sleep in a different location that day due to the issue, booking hotels last minute, loosing other ones…Next day, i had to go to a garage, change battery(going out our way, and loosing a day and money. A lot).
We finally get back to back to Rome and he whanted to charge me the extra millage (about 100/200km). He flips out when i told him that this is not right due to all the stuff we (as a group) had to go through due to the poor state of his bike. He keeps on going that the bike is perfect and so on…We are absolutely perplexed about the situation.. after a big discussion, he pays for the battery that i had to go to a mechanic out of our way to be changed. Idont pay for the extra millage and after some serious attitude, mad manners, disrespectfullnes telling me that i had no idea how to ride and stuff like that… we decided to leave and promissed that i will tell my experience A year latter, here it is.
Dont expect a nice dealership, or a place where you can see all your options. There are 2 very good options in rome and very similar in price as desmorent, the only difference, brand new bikes. I would not rent from
this place again.
