When modifying booked tickets, you have to pay the "fare difference" which is not the new price minus what you already paid, it is the whole new ticket price. Therefore, they basically force you to cancel the ticket, in which case the will keep 50% of what you paid.

Al intentar hacer la modificación a una reserva, debes pagar la "diferencia de tarifa", que no es el precio del tiquete nuevo menos lo que ya se pagó, sino el precio completo del tiquete nuevo. De esa manera, te fuerzan a cancelar el tiquete, y en ese caso ellos se quedan con el 50% de lo que ya se pagó.
