Our solar panel and battery installation was completed two and a half months ago. We had previously been put off installing panels by sales force led companies. DES Renewables have provided an excellent service throughout. We met the company for the first time at a local show. The initial site visit to explain and sight the system, and to talk through the installation process, was calm and measured, with no attempt made to force us to commit. We received a detailed and informative proposal upon which to base our decision; the payment plan was simple and logical. Once we had accepted the quote, a further visit took place to sight the internal and external elements in detail. The scaffolders, roofer and electrician all attended as planned and were polite, efficient and tidy. Any questions we have had since the system was commissioned have been answered promptly and efficiently. My wife and I are very happy to recommend DES Renewables to those planning to install a solar energy system.

When I approached DES I appreciated their honesty in explaining what would and what would not work which helped enormously in finding the best solution. The installation ran smoothly and we're happy with what we've got.

DES made the whole process of installing the solar panels at my home relatively straightforward and painless. I was not too knowledgeable as to how they worked in detail, but DES took the time to explain the process to me and answered any questions that I had.
The installation process was completed within the stated timeframe and the only issue was with the third-party scaffolders. However, DES worked very hard to resolve the issues, with minimal impact to myself. I also found the installers to be very friendly and carried out the work to a very professional level.
I have had the system in place for just over a month and it is working very well, with no issues.
I would have no hesitation with recommending DES to install solar panels.

We found the sales team to be very knowledgeable. DES Renewables arranged all the necessary technical requirements and relevant approvals required to proceed with the application for fitting the solar panels battery and inverter. The installation of the Solar panels battery and inverter was professionally installed and within the agreed timescale. The team involved with the installation were all very nice and helpful.

The whole experience from the Sales / Quotation discussions to the Installation, was well informed throughout and installed by a professional, polite and clean working team of roofers and electrician.
The Sales team patiently went through several options of capacity, make, storage capability before I settled on an installation larger than initially suggested.

The process from start to finish was great. The team recommended a system, showed us diagrams, and walked us through the whole process over the phone and email. The only difficult part was figuring out whether we should apply to have our battery hold more power, but this was resolved quickly.

Of all the suppliers we spoke with DES was the only one that sent contractors to assess our home and take measurements, which meant they were able to recommend more solar panels in our system and preempt any potential issues with installation (such as a tricky scaffolding set up).

As a result, the installation process was exceptionally smooth and well communicated, and any minor delays (which were at most a day) were promptly addressed. Installation was a fully managed service, and our project manager even offered to speak with our neighbours since the scaffolders needed to use their house as leverage. The installation service took around 48 hours and was very professional, including a walkthrough of what had been fitted and how to use it with the app.

The solar panels look super smart on the roof, and the battery box has been installed neatly in our loft. The team had a hard job running cables through the house to connect the battery to the electric, but you wouldn't be able to tell they had to lift all the floorboards. Overall, excellent work, and we are enjoying our solar panels! ☀️

After years failing to get an installer to actually turn up, the salesman turned out to have an electronics background, so that we could kick around a more than averagely complicated system, and agree how to proceed.

I chose to do the cable laying and groundwork.
All DES installation operations were professionally performed. I was very pleased with this.

But the after-sales had a glitch. When I sent messages to the DES help e-mail address, they were not replied to. In the end, I decided that they were not being read.

It turned out that the system was not performing as expected - even allowing for bad siting etc. It took several weeks to get a response from DES.

However when I did, a visit from an engineer brought results. It turned out that some panels were reverse connected. With this rectified, and a "factory reset" to the system, it now works better.

My next step is to have shading trees trimmed - which should happen this week.

It will be good to substantially generate my own electricity.

Thoroughly professional company with everything sourced internally so one point of reference for the whole installation, solar panels, battery, inverter etc. employed workforce so no outside contractors, a big plus. Excellent service, highly qualified electricians and all work carried out on schedule to a very high standard. Highly recommended.

From the beginning the quote process, pre sales information and follow up on our questions was great. Quote accepted and the pre process continued well. After GNO approval, scaffolding went up quickly and installation began, problems were then discovered due to mistakes made by a surveyor who had been to the house. surveyor is no longer with the company.DES identified the mistakes quickly and accepted responsibility for them, rectified them quickly and the process continued seamlessly albeit slightly delayed. George did an amazing job positioning the inverter and batteries!

DES have been very helpful in choosing the best system for our bungalow. We went for an in roof system which looks really smart. The installation went well with the guys doing a good quality job on the roof and inverter/battery system and offered good advice. When we had a couple of issues the service team were quick to respond.

From our initial door-step discussion, thru planning and system selection, post-install questions, and acquiring the necessary documents for our SEG application, the DES Renewables team have provided expert, unbiased and quick responses through every step of our installation journey.

Scaffolding was put up and removed in a timely fashion, the panel installers were polite, efficient and ensured the site was clean and tidy before leaving. Additionally, even though located on the front roof aspect, the panels blend in well with the house and against neighbouring properties.

The Sunsynk electrical plant is located in the garage, and all external and inter-connecting cabling has been fitted with care, and sympathetic to the external and internal aesthetics of the house. The electrician also took time to ensure that we understood what was being installed, where, and why, and that our preferred install options were taken into consideration where appropriate.

The complexity of the install should not be underestimated, and the electrician remained on-site until well past normal finish time on both days to ensure that the system was fully installed and working as expected, and that we had installed, activated, and understood the workings of the physical components and the Sunsynk monitoring app before leaving site.

A software/battery anomaly was identified during the first nights operation, and the electrician investigated and went out of his way to return to amend the Inverter settings the following morning to resolve.

Although the plant has only been operative for the last month, the benefits and efficiencies of the system are working probably better than expected, and battery storage should be considered a must to maximise the solar generation and related financial benefits.

In summary, the whole experience from sales to install completion has been a smooth and competent experience. DES offer a competitive price for the size of the system installed (12× 450w panels, Sunsynk 5kw Inverter, 2x Sunsynk 5.1kw batteries), with several configuration alternatives proposed, and no pressure to purchase. Based on our install experience, we would be happy to recommend DES as a supplier of choice to anyone considering a solar install within their supported area.

We were really impressed with our whole experience from start to finish in our dealings with DES Renewable. There were no hard sales techniques and the whole quotation process was very easy. My queries were answered in full and there was no pressure to complete, we were given the time and space to think things over before we committed. I found pricing was competitive. All the administration was carried out by DES and after Network approval, installation scheduled promptly. I was particularly pleased to see that all the work was carried out by their own staff and not sub-contracted out to different people. All their staff were very friendly, polite, and kept us informed throughout. If only all companies were as easy to deal with! We would not hesitate to recommend DES Renewable.
