Excellent customer service. Super helpful mechanic who went out of his way to find the cheapest solution for me to fix a TPM issue. He could have just replaced the sensor for £100 plus but found the valve was cracked so just replaced that at a fraction of the cost. Placing the customer first. Very grateful.

Very pleased with the service, easy to book, and they called 10 mins before they were due to arrive. Would definitely use again.

I punctured my tyre on a Monday late afternoon. Contacted Devon Tyres - the lady on the phone was really professional. I Whats Appd a picture of my completely flat tyre - they identified it - unfortunately not in stock - but not surprising it was for a 4 x 4 - they ordered in and came to fit the following morning . James and Tony - were super quick and professional - they even gave me some advice on my discs and brake pads, when replacing the tyre - thank you!
Totally recommend Devon Tyres - really good customer service and absolutely the best value. I'd rung around a few national and local companies and Devon Tyres easily the cheapest. Highly recommend 10/10

I’m writing this to warn others about the terrible customer service at Devon Tires in Exminster.

I called up and was quoted £150 for two budget tires. I arrived at 12:00 PM, confirmed the price, and let them get to work. When I went to pay, they charged me £199.80?! He claimed the budget tires I was quoted weren't in stock so they fitted expensive ones without asking me first.

I later spoke to the manager, and I am appalled. He admitted the budget tires were actually in stock the whole time! He said the fitter simply didn't know because he was "back from holiday today.”. (NOT MY PROBLEM?!)

Despite admitting this was entirely their error:

1. He refused to refund the £49.80 difference because he claimed he’d "make a loss."
2. He refused to send their mobile unit to swap the tires - unless I paid a call-out charge.
3. His only solution was for me to return the car immediately to swap them back as else they will be too worn to resale - which I cannot do due to work commitments!

I am now £50 out of pocket for a mistake they admitted was theirs. I specifically requested budget tires, they had them, but they failed to install them and now refuse to do the right thing.

Refusing to accept the tiny loss for them due to THEIR OWN FAULT, or come to me and replace the tyres and refund the difference with their mobile unit free of charge but they are too worried about their own pockets, whilst taking from mine!

If you want a garage that takes responsibility for its own mistakes, go somewhere else.

Professional, polite and responsive service. Despite the chaos created by flooding in Devon today, the team at Devon Tyres were very helpful and responded in an extremely timely manner with their mobile tyre fitting service. Highly recommend. Thank you Sophie and the wider team at Devon Tyres.

I was fortunate enough to have to use Devon Tyres on the 10/1 due to an incident in recent weather conditions, and I have to say that they were absolutely flawless. Customer service was excellent when speaking with the office very informative and attentive the mechanic that attended to me on the road was a breeze and charisma that lifted a very bad start to a day had my car back on all 4 Tyres and me off to attend to my residents at the care home in a flash. I cannot thank them enough for their service and highly recommend them.

We had broken down with a completely flat tyre and last minute this company pulled through with excellent service and performance skills and was faster then a service from a garage. He even helped us replace another tyre so we wouldn’t have to call again after setting off. Amazing work, kind, friendly and helpful. Chaps name was Tom. So thank you to Tom an absolute legend

Avoid!!! Shocking no accountability or customer service. Fitted two cheap tyres but the charge was costly. Fitted tyres causing damage to wheel and kept deflating. They returned to check them charged me another £60 assured me they were ok as I informed them I was driving on the motorway. They were not ok and found myself stranded at 2 in the morning on the motorway. Didn’t even have the decency to apologise for all the inconvenience caused. Keep clear!!!

The initial call was dealt with politely, sympathetically and very efficiently.
Brad, the engineer was prompt and fast and courteous throughout, couldn't fault him at all.
Thanks for a pain free experience; would thoroughly recommend this company and Brad especially!

Who replaces 2 high quality tyres with the lowest of quality and NOT replace the valves and run off with the wheel nut locks. .. then when the tyre starts to deflate slowly comes back to change the valve, on the one tyre deflating and charge £80 .. and not replace the other!!! 2 days later the other tyre deflates .. leaving a sole female driver at a service station at midnight on her own without answering the phone .. what a terrible lack of foresight .. the costs of the tyres were not cheap either ..

£170 charge for a £60 tyre!

Non emergency tyre change (outside house on nice flat ground in the middle of working week). Arrived 3 hours after latest time given, then fitted a really cheap tyre. Unfortunately my partner didn't know the difference and it was already fitted before I saw it. Had not asked my partner what grade of tyre she wanted or if a cheap one was OK, and assumed it would be decent for £170. Obviously avoided discussing that in able to maximise the profit. Receipt has no breakdown of cost (probably to hide the fact that they are fitting cheap crappy tyres). Would not use again

Mark from Honiton branch stopped and helped us when we had a blow out due to a pot hole. Rac said it would be 3 hours before we could get any help.
Mark fitted our space saver and then called to check if honiton branch had the replacement tyre which they did. What a gent just stopped to check we where ok on route home.

I was advised during my cars MOT that I needed two tyres on the front of my volvo v60, and my wife's car had a tyre with a slow puncture and slight sidewall damage. I contacted Devon tyres and gave them my vehicles tyre sizes.
I request a quote for 3 Nexen blue tyres as I have used them before and found them very good tyres for the price.
I arranged for a mobile fitter to come out to my home and the appointment was booked for Monday 19th February evening after 5 so I could be home and have both cars ready.
I received a courtesy call from Matt who carried out the work and he informed me that he would be with me in 20 minutes. Matt true to his word arrived at the agreed time and began the work.
Due to an error with the tyre size. I provided the wrong size of tyres for my v60, and the tyre for my wife's car was also the wrong size which was an error on the company. We are only human and its an easy mistake to make.
Anyway, Matt contacted his line manager and provided him with the exact size required for both cars and we arranged to fit the tyres this evening Tuesday 20th Feb at the same time.
Again Matt contacted me and informed me that he would be with me in 30 minutes or there abouts.
When Matt arrived he jacked up and removed both wheels off my car, he was very professional and carried out the work with great care and attention to detail, Matt then removed the wheel of my wife's car and discovered that there was a nail in it, and he advised me that the damage to the sidewall of the tyre could cause an issue if it was left. I agreed and the tyre was replaced as we discussed yesterday that it may not be repairable.
Matt had both cars fitted with new tyres in no time and done a fantastic job.
I paid for the service by card and I found the prices very competitive. I have Nexen blue on both vehicles and have been given peace of mind that both cars have good quality tyres.
I found Matt to be very helpful, informative, efficient and friendly. I have found Devon tyres to be a good honest and reliable company with very approachable and friendly staff.
I will definitely be using Devon tyres again when we need to replace or repair tyres.
Highly recommend Devon tyres and Matt the tyre fitter.

Broken down with a flat tyre waited for the RAC who at midnight after a wait of 5 hours decided to call me and give me 2 options. Wait for them ( 2 more hours) or they could arrange a tyre ( 60 to 90 minutes).

I chose option 2 new tyre they put me through to thus company £250 fitted. Quick google search premium tyres are about £150 so a £100 emergency call out not bad I thought.

They were quick and with in the time span given which was great but at half 1 in the morning no more thought given apart from home and bed. The following day I check the tyre fitted cheapest they could find worth £100 fitted so a £150 emergency call out fee. The wheel covered in soap. Fast forward 2 weeks get the car cleaned and the wheel is damaged.

Email sent to the company with pictures no response. OK its Christmas so leave it and then persist with a second email with pictures after Christmas. 1 week on still no response. So a new tyre has probably cost £350+ by the time I have rectified there damage caused to my car. Would not use again even in an emergency as they do not care. Avoid at all costs.

Superb. I think the last reviewer maybe had a bad experience, but everything from start to finish was excellent for me. Devon tyres arranged a same day call out for a puncture & all staff were professional and really helpful. Great job, thank you

I don't usually bother to leave reviews but the behaviour of this companies owner compelled me to do so.

I employed Devon Tyres to come and fit a pierelli p zero tyre to my 2018 Audi S4. I had brand new expensive alloy wheels on there and brand new tyres that unfortunately the rear one had taken a nail to the sidewall.

In attempting the tyre change, the fitter destroyed the alloy wheel beyond use by not employing the correct technique to fit a reverse mount alloy. He gave it back to me with so much damage that an independent alloy specialist and the company I bought it from said it was a write off.

The fitter shrugged his shoulders when I showed him the damage and told me to phone his boss saying there was nothing he could do about it.

The owner then did everything he physically could in his power to deny any responsibility for the damage to my wheel.
He showed absolutely no shred of customer service or respect.

I contacted Trading Standards and they advised me to take the matter to County Court.

At Court the owner just about stopped short of saying aliens came down and did the damage to my wheel, but came up with some many ridiculous stories that even the judge found it hard to keep a straight face, in doing so he did his best to slander my character in an effort to deny any responsibility.

The judge looked at the undeniable evidence and ordered him to pay.

He then took almost the full 14 days to pay.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from this company's tyre operative and its owner
