They’ll take your premiums but won’t pay out in the demise of loved ones

My father passed away at the end of January 2026. Contacted them a few days ago, and they came back today 10/02/2026, and refused to pay out, and would not refund our premiums.

They also did a data breach, and copied in people we did not know into our communication. They later recalled it and did not even have the decency to apologise.

They will give you peace of mind while they are taking your money, and will leave you in a nightmare in the demise of your loved ones. Find a more reputable provider if you want true peace of mind. Speaking from experience here. Don’t wait till it happens to you.

Diaspora is a very bad insurance would…

Diaspora is a very bad insurance would advise Africans especially there ones from South Africa to insure their families back home my father died almost a week now I filled the claim form and submitted the required documents .firstly they told me that the document must be in color of which government documents are black secondly they asked for medical certificate I submitted now they are looking for my other policies in Africa to confirm the death this is so disappointing because this is not serving the purpose of me taking this insurance which was to use the payment to buy ticket to go home

We have received the documents you submitted; however, we have not yet been able to independently confirm the death through the contact details provided, despite several attempts. This has caused a delay, and we recognise how frustrating this is.

Please be assured that your policy remains active and in good standing. Once verification is completed, your claim will be processed in line with the policy terms. Our team is actively exploring alternative ways to complete the verification as quickly as possible, especially given the sensitivities involved.

We will remain in contact with you throughout this process and encourage you to continue engaging with our claims team so we can work together toward a resolution. Thank you for your patience during this very difficult time.

I lost my daughter in May a few days…

I lost my daughter in May a few days before her 2nd birthday. It was the most painful time of my life. I reached out to Diaspora insurance as i had a policy with them. They responded so quickly. They sent me a form to fill out and make a claim. Which i did and also they asked for her death certificate. After they received all this they paid out the following day. It was so easy and straightforward. Which is exactly what you need after the loss of a loved one.

I don't need their service yet but I've…

I don't need their service yet but I've seen them in action and think their product is worth it. They go the extra mile for all initial the diaspora. I just wish the service was cheaper for loved ones back home.
