DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM HERE. They have charged me over £250 for ''damages''. They have apparently found a scratch on the wheel. I have a video from before and after my rental. There is no scratch. Just some dirt. Do not rent a car off differental at Catania airport. Scam artists.

Don’t Rent from them.

We recently scammed by these people. Malpensa airport milan. Now I was searching how to review these people and I came across this site. I wish I had checked the reviews before. They just find an opportunity to scam people. They will find microscopic dents which would have existed for long. Trying to scam you with 1000 euros. Then they will say get it from the insurance company.
They sold insurance to us, should have understood then. They have 20 years old kid (Mark) telling us that a nanoscopic dent is very dangerous to the next driver. Mark, we have driven it since the time when you were not even born.

We've rented cheap in Milan Bergamo…

We've rented cheap in Milan Bergamo Airport. Collecting the car was easy and quick. I was worried reading all the negative reviews but had third party insurance. They weren't pushing to buy their insurance. Staff was friendly and efficient. The car was exactly what we asked for. The only negative was that the car was covered in rain droplets and couldn't assess the condition in the not very well lit collection point. We were adviced to take photos before driving away but this would have been futile giving the lack of detail in the photos due to the rain droplets on the car. Upon return they did not scrutinise the car under "microscope", just a general look and all was ok. We haven't had any incident with the car but still a bit apprehensive giving all the negative reviews. The return went smoothly, no issues. Just my experience.

Fraud

Rented a car with platinum insurance, the air system was not working properly, a botton jumped to the interior of the center console without none touch it (have witness). When I returned the car, want them about the air system and the botton, they made me pay 250 euros for damage that I have not do, saying that platinum insurance only cover outside damage. I have a vídeo that proof what I’m writing and this Differental rent a car company use shady methods. I was given an e-mail address to for any issue, but got no answer at all from them

These people belong in jail

If I could give a zero I would. Total scammers. I wish I had seen these reviews before I rented a car From them. People beware! Total scam artists. We actually purchased the insurance from them, which they refused to honor after minor damage to the car. They did not answer phone calls or email messages. The first agent at car pick up was so bad that the agent at drop off told us that the agent lied to us, but he could do nothing to help. Only the owner could help us and the owner never returned any calls or email. Stay away.

Differental.it is a dishonest thieves

People, don't rent a car from this company. They are thieves. They don't want to give us back the deposit for the car we rented. They are claiming that we scratched the car, but we have all the pictures. The scratches were already there, but when we went to return the car, there was no one to receive it, and it was agreed. They already do this because they are dishonest thieves. They don't even respond to emails. Please don't rent a car from them. They will take your money too. They need to be reported and held accountable for these actions against customers

Differental wants to charge me €680 mail

Differental wants to charge me €680 for burnt mark on the driver seat which was from before, I don’t smoke by religiously and by choice also. I used this hire company because quote was cheap (obviously) on the day of collection lady in the office took the pictures on the outside of the vehicle not inside, because she new I could be there pray..
I however took some pics and made the video inside and outside, at this moment I’m still at airport waiting for boarding to open, got the email saying €682.87 with no description but only a photo attached of the driver side seat which has a burnt mark. So I called the differental office asked me to send proof at this moment I have forwarded the video and pics which I’d taken it on the day of collection. Let’s see what happens next. BIG AVOID THIS COMPANY, THESE ARE SEEMS TO ME IS REAL ITALIAN MAFIAS

I would like to give this company zero stars.
They were not present at the Linate office at pick up (during office hours) and I was left in 37 degree heat waiting for someone to arrive for nearly an hour and multiple phone calls. I was asked to sign documents in Italian over messaging service which I refused until I received them in English and the representative who finally drove up with the car keys would not even get out of her car to deal with my questions. On return there was nobody at the office (again in office hours) and I was told via message to deposit the keys in a car safe. I was unhappy there was none available again but as I had no concerns about the car I followed this request. After my return to the U.K. I was sent a bill for windscreen damage of over 500 Euros and a photo which could have showed any car . I disputed this charge but they have not provided proper evidence and no actual invoice from the repair company. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!

What a load of scammers.

What a load of scammers.
We hired a car back in May 2024 but took out our own excess insurance at home.
Whilst we had the car we recieved a small amount of damage to the rear bumper of the car. When we returned the car the man said that they would withold the 750 euros excess to pay for the damage. We contested the cost but due to needing to get to the airport we didn't have time to argue, but assumed we would recieve the invoice for the actual cost of repair.
Of course the excess insurance company want to see that invoice before they pay out.
We have tried many times to contact differential to request the invoice but they totally refuse to answer our whatsapp messages, conveniently for them you are unable to phone.
The result is we are currently 750 euros lighter due to the total incompetence of this company.
THEY ARE SCAMMERS...DONT USE!!!

Stay away, a scam !

Stay away! A legally scam. I rent a car in BGY with Gold insurance. They gave me a car full of scretches. When I returned, a small scratch they point it and keep 325 euros, even if I purchased Gold insurance (a scam). No further explanation, customer service is a joke. "the amount has to be paid" was the answer.
They tried the same scam with credit/debit card (charging extra for not working) but I denied them, being aware by the prevoius customer.
Stay away! They shouldn't be legal to operate.

They are THIEVES! Do not rent from them, they will steal every penny! I have never had such a theft in my life! The staff is lying and disorganized! they didn't give us the requested car, they gave us another solution for which we paid more and they continued to withhold our money! THIEVES!!!!

Differental are SCAMMERS! They charges additional for “damages” and fees. They seem to be taking advantage and not returning deposits… claiming that there was damages. No one did an expectation when we returned the car. They are THIEVES!

Will never use them again

Will never use them again. Booked a car to collect at 12. Am hour later there is no car available and a wrote off people waiting for cars to been returned. Completely disorganised. Unhappy. Ruined my first day of holiday

This place is horrendous

This place is horrendous. If you end up renting from them because of luck or because there was no other option, take their insurance or they will find something to charge you for. They had no staff present nor available to do the inspection with me so I left the car in the spot and left the keys at the desk. They later send me an email with a bill for $322. They completely lack integrity. Recommend paying the extra bucks and renting from a reputable company.

Crooks - avoid at all costs

Crooks. This outfit should be avoided – pay a bit more if that’s what it takes. Firstly, the car we reserved was not there and we had to accept an inferior one (at the same price) as we were supposedly late picking up. Why should that make a difference? But the biggest con was when we returned it with some scratches on the back bumper. They withheld the €750 deposit and whilst we had our own excess insurance, the insurance would not pay out as Differental refused to provide an itemised invoice for the repair. These people will con you any which way they can!

200 euro’s credited 2 months after rental.

When we arrived everything seemed to be fine, we got a car but the carplay was no working they offered us a Tomtom instead, we did not agree with this simple fix so we got another car. We had also booked second driver but when we arrived they told us that would be 100 euro’s extra..weird.

Everything was fine when we returned the car they said everything was good. The guy who brought us back to the airport did not ask us which terminal we needed to go back to. So he brought us to the wrong one and after we told him he got mad.

For all this I would have still given 2-3 stars, but now 2 months later they charged my card 2 times 100 euro’s out of nowhere, did not receive an email or anything. So I called the office in Milan and without even looking up my rental they said it was for a fine we got. ( how does she know this without looking??) she said I needed to email their supportteam as they do not have specifics on this. So I did after week no reaction…seems like a scam they just try it and see how far they come.

Now I have to start a process at the bank which can take 1-3 months…. Avoid Differental.

Scammed us out of €750

We had a minor accident. They charged us the full excess (€750). Fine so far. We had excess insurance. The insurance company needed evidence of cost of repair (I.e. a receipt from the repair company or a breakdown of how they came to a figure of €750). They never supplied this, despite many requests to them directly via email, phone (they never picked up) and WhatsApp. First they just sent us a receipt for the charge and then just stopped responding, meaning we’re out of pocket. They have no regard for their customers and I would absolutely avoid them at all costs.

We have delivered the car

We have delivered the car. It had a small scratch. They said that we would get the rest of the deposit back and also get a reciept that we could send to our insurance. Weeks later we haven't received any of those two things. We have tried texting and calling them. They see our messages, but dont respond. If we don't get the reciept soon then we cant get money from our inusurance.
Also when we were driving we needed to get an oil change. We lost almost an entire day of our one week vacation because they didn't remember to check the oil before giving us the car.
Absolutely do not use this company. Use a different one even if its slightly more expensive.
