Dinner & Dissection Reviews 

The idea of the evening is good, but really really needs refining.
Loads of people rammed into a very very small room and it got very very noisy, so made it hard to hear the presenter. Felt at times very amateurish with back room staff walking onto stage and talking to the presenter whilst she was explaining things to us.
Not sure how it was Victorian themed as we were just disecting animal parts with very old blunt equipment. Disappointed/not comfortable with the body on the table think it needs to be replaced or just removed as it didn't really bring anything to the evening.
Great idea but really needs to be refined on how it is delivered, get the feeling its all about a quick profit and not the delivery or content.
Could not fault the woman presenter as she was very informative and keen to help.

Dinner itself was mediocre.
No drinks at all provided, even tap water or soft drinks. Huge queues at the bar as 150 or so people had to buy their own drinks. Ended up using the main bar as the queue was so slow moving.
The dissections were from animals and they were shared with the whole table (10 people) giving each person less than 5 mins with each specimen. Tools were blunt and inappropriate.
Only two specimens given.
The presenter was good and had enthusiasm, it was a shame the crowd were rowdy so it was difficult to hear her at times. She had what looked like a human body on her table. It ended up being a realistic looking dummy with animal specimens placed inside. The camera coverage was very poor.
Overall for the experience I maybe would have paid £30-50, not £70+. Great idea but needs refinement.

Excellent knowledge of anatomy from the staff presenting the show and great use of multiple organs for dissection and learning. Very interesting and definitely worth a try for anyone considering trying one of these nights out

Fantastic host. Very interactive evening. Even was provided with ppe to become the part. Food was lovely. Will definitely do another evening like this

However I am still waiting 2weeks later for the CPD code to access. I was told would get email within 48hrs…. Still waiting. I went the next day for different event with same company and got those CDP hours at the end.

Best event I ever been at

DO NOT BUY TICKETS FROM THIS COMPANY. They sold my friend and I legitimate tickets (date, time, venue, price paid all stated on them), we turned up at their event and there was no event on!! The hotel said there was never even anything booked. We have tried emailing and contacting via social media and there has been no response, yet they continue to post on social media and market these events. There is also no telephone number to call and we have tried contacting the associated companies (Med-Soc, ITAE group, Medic Player) to no avail. I will continue to hound them publicly and take legal action if necessary as they owe my friend and I money, which is a significant amount to both of us.

Great show, learning not only about anatomy and dissection but the historical aspect of it all! Never knew the origins of modern medicine and was so informative! Holly was fantastic...
