After ordering patio set on 6th May to …

After ordering patio set on 6th May to be delivered on the 13th, I was left a message on the 12th from Arrow XL that they were unable to deliver till 15th. Asda promised me a £15 evoucher for the inconvenience, this didn't materialise. After numerous phone calls,emails and delivery dates, with two of them resulting in time of work and loss of pay, I have yet to receive this set. Asda don't ring you back when assuring me they will, very rarely answer emails and just seem disinterested in attempting to get this patio set delivered. I simply cannot believe the atrocious level of customer service from both companies. I just hope I can get my money back.

Ordered a BBQ and Firepit ready for summer.Took 3 days to arrive and driver carried items through to garden for me.No complaints.

Absolutely APPALLING Service!

I ordered a sofa from this circus of a company on 7 March 2017, which was delivered to me on 6 April 2017. However, not only was the sofa completely the wrong colour, but it only had three of its four 8" legs included. The delivery guys clearly knew something was wrong, as all they wanted was a quick signature and a fast exit before we could even inspect the item. [Yes, our big mistake for signing, a lesson all are free to learn].

Customer service [somewhere in India?] were not quick to grasp the problem and claimed they could do nothing about it even though we called less than five minutes after the delivery van left, and could easily have been contacted and sent back. The useless sofa had to be stored in our tiny flat for nearly two weeks before they collected it - on a Bank Holiday Monday- so thanks for spoiling that for us too Asda.

After waiting over a week for a refund, we called them, and had to deal with the usual "I want to help but company policy is...." attitude. Finally, threatening to contact Trading Standards got a grudging refund, along with "We haven't yet received the sofa back." I queried whether or not the returns guy had a truck, or perhaps they were carrying the sofa the 400 miles back to Leeds on foot?

NEVER GOING TO BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN.

In fact, after this stressful and highly time consuming experience, I doubt that I will even continue grocery shopping at Asda.

ABSOLUTELY DIABOLICAL SERVICE

Well, I had to give one star but they don't deserve even that!! I ordered two sun loungers in the sale some two weeks ago with a chosen delivery date. They emailed to say my order had been despatched and gave me a tracking number. I regularly checked Yodel but feedback constantly told me the goods were with the supplier despite being told they had been despatched. I followed up with both Yodel and George.com but they failed to give me a satisfactory resolution. Instead they refunded my money and told me to re-order which I found ridiculous as all they had to do was complete the original order. To add insult to injury, I received an email confirming I had returned the goods which I had NEVER received. As advised, I re-ordered, again with a chosen delivery date and, amazingly received a delivery. GUESS WHAT! Only one lounger was delivered. I suppose I should consider myself lucky as I actually received something. Interaction with Customer Service was useless. I was told the item was now out of stock and I would have to re-order when in stock at the full price. I did suggest that, as a gesture of goodwill, they might send another colour at the reduced price but you can imagine their response. Like many who have reviewed before me, I will never order from them again. Their set up is a complete shambles.

Following on from my post, amazingly two days later the other lounger turned up. It was fortunate that I was actually home to receive it as it was totally unexpected. Needless to say, Asda/George wasted no time in requesting re-payment of the refund they had made! This outcome has not changed my decision never to order from them again.

Bad customer service

Bought kitchen taps. Substandard item. Tried to return. As policy of money back guarantee.
Would not honour their policy. Did not get a refund. Hard to complain service no customer care.
Would definitely NOT recommend buying from this company.

Xmas turkey

Bought a turkey crown from asda on 22nd december for dinner on 25th but when i opened it i found it to be green in colour and the smell was awful. Not impressed.

No product & NO communication!!!

My partner ordered a product online as part of their Black Friday prices - was told it would be in store to collect the following weekend and that we would receive an email.
No email came so we went into store and it was not there. He filled in the online questionnaire asking where the product was and no response!
I emailed them asking & got a generic response stating that my email had been forwarded to the correct team and I would hear back within 5-7 days.
That date came and went and still nothing! You cannot get hold of any customer service rep to sort issues out! I even tried tweeting them and still no response!
Even if they had let me know that the product was out of stock etc, I could have ordered it elsewhere in the Black Friday sales but no communication at all is shocking!!
Very very disappointed!!

No items and unable to get a refund

I ordered 2 sofas from George.com on the 1st October 2016. On the 24th October 2016 I received an email stating that my items had been fully dispatched. I had still heard nothing from the couriers by the 30th October 2016 so I phoned customer services and have basically been calling twice a week since. It wasn't until 17th November 2016 that they informed me that my order had been cancelled by the couriers as they had not received the items for delivery. I told them that I had been messed around enough and wanted a refund.
It is now the 12th December 2016 and customer services are still telling me that the suppliers are still investigating but refuse to let me have the suppliers details so that I can contact them directly to find out what the delay in the refund is.
Avoid using George as they appear to only be middle men for suppliers who they obviously have no control over and once your money is handed over it just disappears.

AWFUL, DON'T BUY FROM THEM, THEY'RE A FRAUD

I have ordered a chest drawer last week, once I noticed that the money had been taken from my bank account but no email confirmation had been sent, I tried to contact the customer service: I HAVE SEND MORE THEN 5 EMAILS AND CALLED 3 TIMES. Of course, I've never received a reply to my emails and the customer service keep saying they will call me back with more information about my order -that they CAN'T FIND ANYWHERE- and about the payment: BUT NO-ONE IS CALLING BACK AND THEY KEEP SAYING THAT I NEED TO WAIT FOR THEM TO CHECK THE ORDER AND THEN GET BACK TO ME, everytime I call back.

The bank can't block the payment has it has been taken already and I will have to wait 2 weeks to start a fraud complaint and probably will never get the money back.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, THEY'RE A FRAUD

Why Why Why

I ordered a play kitchen for my grandson on 18th September I was made aware at the time that I would be informed when the item left the warehouse. On 11th October I received an email to inform me my full order had left the warehouse and given a tracking number for Yodel. My problems then started. Tracking number said yodel didn't have the item Asda said they had been told it would be delivered between 25-27th October Again I waited (silly me) several emails later and with the last one being sent to Asda George customer services on 30th October with a standard reply of we will get back to you in 48hours I waited AGAIN. I decided to check Yodel who had kept saying they didn't have the parcel now they say it was delivered?? Who to because it wasn't me. So I finally telephoned Asda AGAIN today 2nd November and spoke to a person who although tried to be re assuring obviously didn't know what to suggest so she cancelled the order and said she had re ordered and would give me my delivery refund back. AGAIN I WAIT. WHY WHY WHY do such large companies choose to use companies like Yodel who are obviously unconcerned about customers, lie and are totally useless. this is not the first time I`ve been frustrated with deliveries not arriving supposedly delivered by Yodel.

Bad experience

Purchased online 11/10/2016 at George.com a double duvet and a single duvet which amouted to £36.95 including postage.Estimated delivery 17/10/2016 .
These never arrived because Hermes complained the delivery was too bulky and they returned the order back to Asda i was informed this by a dedicated george customer service person in a Philippines call centre .
So i received a refund on the 18/10/2016 and i re-ordered the same duvets amounting to £36.95.
Delivery was promised to me by philippines call centre that i would receive these 20/10/2016. Well sadly they did not arrive .
I have contacted the dedicated George.com team in the philippines and they keep telling me Hermes have a problem with delivering my bulky duvet items .
So come on Asda tell me what i can do here.

USELESS SERVICE VIA ASDADIRECT (GEORGE.COM) & YODEL

I ordered an item via AsdaDirect on 5 Oct 2016. It was expected to arrive with me on or before 11th Oct. It did not. I tracked it online on 13th to see that it had been 'delivered' by their preferred service, Yodel. It hadn't. I called Asda. Eventually, I spoke with the Customer Services in India, who contacted Yodel. They said that they did not have a driver to cover my area and that it would be delivered the following day. It wasn't. I again tracked the parcel on line on 15th Oct to see that I had 'refused it at the door' on the 13th and that within 2 mins of that it had been returned to the sender. I called AsdaDirect and requested a refund. ASDA, will you ever get a grip of Yodel who prefer lies, lies and more lies as their explanation? This item was for a wedding present today (15th Oct) and your inability to deliver the service you offer has now left me in a difficult situation. Your service, and that of your delivery firm, is disgraceful. I will not seek to use you again and will not recommend you to any other person. I feel that you will not address these issues until people actually stop buying from you. Sincerely, Helen Batchelor

Wrong item delivered, couldn't have cared less

I ordered two table lamps from George, admittedly I was reluctant as I haven't ordered anything from them before. My order arrived on time, but when I opened the (damaged) box, they had sent me completely the wrong item and I was saddled with a free standing lamp. When I asked for them to resend ASAP, they told me the item is now out of stock and they are not sure when it will be back in the warehouse. To add insult to injury, I'd taken a day off to wait in for several packages and have had to now book another day to wait for them to collect the incorrect order as they don't offer weekend collection. Stay away people, the low prices you pay don't make up for the terrible service I received.

Orders never delivered

I have placed a 4 orders over the past 6 months and can say that not one order as been delivered without there been a issue. out of the 4 orders only 1 has ever turned up and all you get when you call customer service is its been lost and we will refund you. I have not stopped shopping at asda and asda direct i would rather pay more and get the service that i expect

terrible customer service

After placing order and being told it would be delivered to my local shop next day, 5 days later still no order. I called customer service and they could not understand a word I said nor could I understand them and were totally useless. I will never order from them again , oh and that have already taken my money. and now been told it may be another week before I get my order.

Absolutely awful

Placed a large furniture order with Asda, never again! First item arrives damaged, having to deal with a Philippines call centre where they can barely speak english and have awful customer service. Arrange for a replacement to come, the courier doesn't arrive on the day, have to take more time off work two days later for the replacement to turn up only to find it is damaged again!! And now going to have to take even more time off work for yet another replacement which will probably be broken too. Noone in the UK to speak to regarding this mess. Absolutely awful service by Asda, I'll never use them again. I dread to think what condition the rest of the order will be in when it turns up.

Appalling customer service

Ordered a chair from Asda, but at no point was contacted by them to say it was not in stock, nor were they going to get any more in. Emailed their 'customer services' department (I use the term loosely) on a number of occasions and asked for a refund. As yet this has not been forthcoming. Have had to ring AGAIN to be told that my order still hasn't been cancelled. Come on Asda, get your act together.
