Customer service was exceptional
I noticed that, in recent years, the amount of savings achieved by using DiscountMags.com has gone down each year, compared to the cost of a direct subscription obtained through the publisher. Also, I experienced confusion in distinguishing between communications received from DiscountMags and solicitations sent by the publisher. I sent an email to customer service and explained these issues in detail. I never expected a response. However, I immediately received a detailed and thoughtful reply from a human being, not a computer or a robot, who even provided her name. This type of response is so rare that I sent a thank you note in follow up. The company's response didn't make the impact of inflation go away. But I had the satisfaction of knowing my comments were reviewed carefully and taken seriously.

I've use DiscountMags service for several years and for several different magazine and have always been satisfied with their service and response to questions or problems.
Customer beware
Customer beware. My order for a dictionary that I paid for was missing from the box that was damaged in the mail due to poor packaging. I have pictures of the post office's message about it and also the physical package that was wrapped in plastic that didn't contain the dictionary I ordered due to poor packaging.
I called DiscountMag three or four times only to get AI responses and their AI said they would arrange to send the dictionary but they didn't. Nor did I receive a message about it. When I tried to connect with a human person, I received the message that it would take 3-4 days for a DiscountMag rep to return my call.
I wrote about my issue on their website form but no one responded and there was not a way to make a copy of my complaint and DiscountMag does not publish their email address.
I got their email address when I started a dispute in Paypal. They sent Discountmag's email address but Trust pilot does not allow an email to be included in a review. I also wrote on their website about the issue and that I wanted them to reimburse me $29.06 for the dictionary. I received no response from DiscountMag.
I'm glad to say that Paypal came through and reimbursed me for the $29.06. I also reported my experience to the BBB ie that I did not receive my order due to poor packaging and that DiscountMag has abysmal customer support.
Paypal reimbursed my charges (in 3-4 days)! For all the time I spent trying to make this right, could a DiscountMags rep please send me a an excellent used copy of Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary 12th edition, published in 2025 and package it well. Also please work harder for the customer's satisfaction!

I ordered a renewal of a magazine and this was last May 2025. I should have received the fall issue. Well, it's Spring in 2 days and they have yet to fulfill my order. I will not renew or order any magazines through them again. Buyer beware!!!!!!!
Third-Party Digital Subscrition Problem Resolved
Erin understood my problem with a NewYorker digital subscription only being accessible through Magzter, and was able to cancel the subscription and issue an immediate refund.
She was also knowledgeable enough to assure me that I would not encounter the same problem with my Economist digital subscription.
