Customer Service is a Joke
Customer Service is a Joke! I was transferred 3 times, hung up on me, instead of transferring another 3 times. Each call I was on hold at least 22 minutes. Customer service is hard to understand. After explaining on what I needed, I would be put on hold another few minutes. After playing that game a few times, the customer service rep would get back on the line with me and try to sell me Boost Mobile. I explained I need my issue fixed first. I was told I would be transferred. Each time, the line would go to an automated rating of my experience and then hang up. Terrible, Terrible service!
Been with dish for 5 years had to cancel because there service does not work.
Been with dish for 5 years, last couple of years there receivers have been completely junk Im on my 3rd receiver there receivers fail and you will lose all your DVR.
I get home from work and just want to watch TV and the receiver has to reboot cant get signal it takes 15 to 30 minutes before I can watch TV almost every night.
Again this is the 3rd receiver I have had this one only lasted 3 or 4 months before complete failure. wont even boot up.
Customer service is a complete joke they want you to go thru different things un plug the HDMI unplug receiver reset etc etc that process has never worked and it takes a phone call that lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour. Now the streaming service? only works about half the time is buggy and needs to be updated the app is in some areas you cant even read what a button is to click on it. The only way to get any help with the device is to threaten to cancel the service and even then that takes a phone call that lasts over an hour. If I could I would take the box in and get another one I would do that but they no longer provide that service you have to schedule a service call then 3 or 4 days later meaning I have to take half a day off to be home. There boxes fail repeatedly until they just stop working all together. I am sick of there business model so I canceled now they want over 300 dollars to cancel on a service that does not work. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. My GF has dish as well as her dad and they deal with the same service she is considering canceling also speacially after seeing me deal with the NOT customer service. Dish is a joke and they steal from there customers.

Dish SUCKS! WHY, we've been paying a $175 for MLB extra innings for the last I don't know how many years 13, at least for the last 4 years we can't play back our recordings of baseball games because it knocks the system out and rwboots. I've been calling dish for 4 years complaining about this. They don't care. They don't do anything about it. They know there's a problem, they don't even give us our money back. UNBELIEVABLE. THE WORST
Ordered dish. Nothing but issues from the start. The first time they could not complete the job so I was told that I had to call and set up another appointment; me and not them. The nest appointment was a no call no shoe. I called to find out where the guy was and they told me he came out earlier and nobody was home. Although 7 people were at my house with multiple cars in the driveway, the guy just never showed and lied about it. So I call back and set up a Thurs appointment and they guaranteed a supervisor and a tech would be there so I could discuss the issues with a supervisor and they could complete the job this time. They also guaranteed that a different tech other than the first one would show up. Wouldn't you know it but the same tech arrived and that was it; no supervisor. The tech once again could not figure out how to complete the job and instead of quality he wanted to drill through my stone walls and have a cable hanging between my entrance to the attrium. I told him no way I was going to have wires hanging between two walls. He then wanted to connect from another area but not run it through the walls and instead leave it sitting across my carpet and said that I needed to run it through my walls instead of him. THATS WHAT YOU GET WITH DISH! GOOD LUCK!

I've been using Dish Network for many years well over 10 and they have treated me well. I live on a tight budget thanks a lot to (go brandon) so when they do raise the prices I call them tell them my favorite channels and they work the packages so I get my channels at or really close to the price I need. You can't complain about a company that works with you and gets you what you want at a price you can afford.
cancelation of subscription
I have been trying to cancel my subscription to dish been with 4 yrs. all I get is a runaround. the customer service person says I have to go to "customer cancelation group" they transfer me to that number, a recording says theirs a 41 min wait the call is then dropped in a couple of mins. not once but every time you call. I talked to 6-7 people over 2 days

They lie about the gift card, it's a joke. They do this to sign people up, nobody speaks good English to understand them, the employees don't know how to help you when you call. It is so ridiculous
Repetitive movies
Don't get me wrong I like dish to a certain extent seems like they play the same movies over an over again there is a lot of movies out there please show them. Also they put a show that wasn't on another show came on please get it right.

The remote controls fail to do what I was trying to do very often. The signal freezes frecuently or breaks . And just recently I got bill for an event that no one order in my house! … terrible service!

I want to thank all of you for writing a review on Dish , I have Direct TV now for about 13 yrs, yes they keep increasing pricing - right now I pay 160.00 with a 40.00 loyalty discount, which I bill would be $200 just for TV, really - who in the world are we suppose to get a reasonable TV company with a flat rate , no contract , have excellent customer service - is there such a company. all of the fire sticks, antennas are costly and you have to pay for most of the movies, this is just to much - the Government needs to step in - good luck everyone

Couldn't contact a human being while they had a data breech..which I had no idea about until I searched online to try and contact DISH. Was charged for an extra month even though I had proof of me trying to contact them. Waited on hold for almost an hour 3x! They also charge $20 to return the equipment. Just go with Sling, Hulu etc...save your money!!
