only good thing about it is the range of movies, which you can barely even watch anyways due to the extreme amount of lag that has been ongoing for years, and only seems to be getting worse despite th... See more

rubbish, no quality films and series
first subscription to disney plus and i regret it instantly. there are no good tv shows and movies, google said this is a top streaming app and it is not. it hasn’t got half the things it says it does and the amount of ads are crazy and ridiculous. not to mention the fact i’m complaining on here because they don’t have a review section! not worth the time or money. dont do it
Keeps locking me out due to poor implementation on restricting account sharing
UPDATE
I've cancelled. They don't seem to understand that the TV bolted to my wall, and the only device I watched Disney+ from, is in my household. Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. understand this perfectly.
ORIGINAL
Disney+ have recently updated their service to prevent account sharing - I have no issue with this, I don't care if other people share accounts but I understand why Disney don't want them to.
HOWEVER, every time my internet crashes or is switched off and on, Disney+ no longer recognises my device and asks me to update my household, eventually locking me out for having too many household devices, despite only ever accessing it on my TV, and not sharing my account.
I have to talk to Disney's customer support to resolve, and so far they have done, but there will come a time that they won't, so I feel I have little choice but to cancel.
Lacking in quality content
The service lacks must see shows. Most of the best shows actually come from other networks and the rest of the best shows come from their legacy catalog (most of which they got from buying 20th century fox). So unless you're interested in their back catalog there isn't much of a reason to subscribe to Disney+.
Since Disney+ was available in the UK I've only ever used it for a 3 month trial and I can say that in this 3 months, I've seen all the exclusives that are worth watching. They need to do better with their exclusives, especially the Marvel and Star Wars TV shows. With the exception on Loki, it's crazy how the Netflix and ABC marvel shows were significantly better than Disney's current day ones. It's also crazy how Paramount Plus has a smaller subscriberbase, has less income and yet still has more critically acclaimed shows that do better in the streamer hours watched charts.
The ads are incredibly annoying. They're always the same half dozen ads on a loop. So they get repetitive very quickly. Most are for the Disney+ service itself (either existing shows or advertising parental controls). What is the point in having ads if you're just advertising your own service!
Disney+ is a blatant cash grab
Disney+ is a blatant cash grab. Instead of letting us binge-watch, they drag out releases one episode per week just to keep people subscribed longer. On top of that, they keep hiking prices while removing content to dodge paying creators. Greedy and frustrating. 1/5 stars.
Signed up from Tesco 3 months free offer…
Signed up from Tesco 3 months free offer today and what a load of rubbish all old movies. Waste of a sign up.
30 years of Disney. Netflix £4.99 a month you get so many new movies and good movies all the time!
Cant even sort movies from recent or new they only come up in alphabetical order.
Disney + does not have a complaint…
Disney + does not have a complaint system. Therefore, they do not take any responsibility for poor customer service or poor technical support. Our Disney + has stopped working in our WiFi and the technical support is not appropriately knowledgeable of technical services to fix issues. They also say they will will escalate to a higher support group, which I have since found out doesn't exist. Was more then happy to cancel the service based on such poor customer service.

Getting a refund from a Mickey Mouse companny
Cautionary Tale!!
I renewed my Disney+ account last year and was shocked by the increase, so I opted to pay monthly on my debit card, sneakily they increased my monthly payments without telling.
After contacting me they agreed to refund my last month payment as a "show of good faith"
I received an email saying refund would take 5-7 working days.
When I chased the refund I was told the email was incorrect and it would be 7-10 working days!!!
The agent claimed she wouldn't be able to see what had been sent to me so it was down to me to send it to her. She told me the refund would with my today 13th March.
Nothing was in my account so a THIRD call ensued with possibly the worst customer service agent ever
when I told him that a refund had gone in on the 28th Feb but then Disney took the money out again on 4th March he told me he could check those details
I finally asked to speak to his manager/supervisor/team leader and I was told that there was no one "higher" than him
SHOCKING!
Not worth the money
Terrible, clunky app and a ridiculous amount of ads eventhough its a paid for service. The content is mostly mediocre, though they do have some good, exclusive films & series.
Disney+ is like paying a premium for…
Disney+ is like paying a premium for the privilege of being disappointed. The interface is clunky, the app crashes more often than a Windows 98 computer, and finding where you left off on a show feels like solving a riddle from Indiana Jones. Half the content they promise mysteriously disappears, the streaming quality fluctuates like it’s running on dial-up, and God forbid you travel — Disney will lock you out like you’ve committed treason. Customer service? Useless. Price hikes? Constant. Honestly, you’d get a more magical experience burning your money and watching the flames dance. Disney+ isn’t a streaming service — it’s a £5/month reminder that nostalgia is a scam
Disney+ turns our tv off
Why is it that Disney+ crashes on our Samsung tv? It actually turns off our tv. It happened with our older tv so we thought the tv was the problem. Bought a new tv and the same thing is happening! We have other streaming services but it only happens with Disney+. Have cancelled and will never subscribe again. Such old films etc. I'm very disappointed with them even though it was fairly cheap at £5 month..it doesn't work properly so a waste of good money.
DISNEYPLUS - A WASTE OF TIME!
Signed up for the basic choice with ads and what a total waste of time. Every time we selected a film or program to watch we kept getting a small blue box appearing telling us to upgrade. Spent over 24 hours trying to sort this out and eventually spoke to a nice chap via text at Disney help. He advised me to click on my profile and go to settings where I could change the value in age to 18+. It had a default value of 14+ so I did this and thanked him hoping that the problem was sorted out. THE PROBLEM WAS STILL ONGOING!
I then rang the Disneyplus helpline and explained my problem to a charming gentleman who advised that the earlier advice was WRONG!
I mentioned the sheer frustration I was having with the Disneyplus system and that it was increasing my blood pressure. He sympathised and not only offered to solve the problem but would give me for free limited time access to the highest streaming grade. I explained that my first monthly payment was “pending” and having rung my bank found that I could not stop this payment. I also said that Disneyplus had only one objective and that was to retain customers by making the system as difficult as possible to cancel an account. The gentleman said he would get my first payment refunded for which I thanked him. Finally I explained that I wanted nothing more to do with Disneyplus as the whole streaming system is so poorly designed its customer focus is abysmal. I thanked the gentleman for his patience and apologised for my perhaps too direct manner and told him that my raised blood pressure was easing off. Nevertheless, Disneyplus is now permanently out of my life so BE WARNED - the Disneyplus streaming system can lead to total frustration and may affect your BLOOD PRESSURE.
Disneyplus - what a disappointment and
A WASTE OF TIME.
Given up trying to subscribe
Given up trying to subscribe, won’t take payment info, been on the chat 4 times trying to sort it, got cut off twice then asked to subscribe through chrome as safari isn’t great apparently, still couldn’t so told to try Google incognito, still couldn’t, chat was ended again, give up.
The app crashes all the time
The app crashes all the time, you cannot log into your account. My card was changed because of fraudulent behaviour. I have not been allowed access to update my details, as the app won't let me do it. Hence I can't be bothered anymore, wasting my time with so attempts trying to watch anything.
I would never repeat my Subscription
I signed up in Feb 2025 and my subscription didn’t end until 15.03.25, so I decided to cancel my subscription and requested deletion of my account it stated I couldn’t delete my account until my subscription ended, made sense to me.
Today I tried to access my account and I still have over two weeks left and I couldn’t login in so I contacted Disney through there chat, she told me she could re-activate my account I said no just delete and refund my remaining days left she said provide your card details so I did.
After providing my card details, she stated she could refund but could re-activate my account I said no just delete she told me it takes 30 days to delete, so let’s remember today date is 26.02.25 so why wasn’t I allowed to access the service if it takes 30 days to delete an account when I had actually paid for and Disney won’t refund.
I was being victimized because 1 I wanted to cancel and 2 I wanted to delete my account when it takes 30days to delete an account.
To chuck me out when the T&C state cancel whenever you want, lesson leant won’t sign up again. By looking at these reviews I’m not the only one who’s treaded badly by Disney, Amazon and Netflix I never had a problem with these companies ever.
Too many advertisements
Too many advertisements. We already pay for service. Get your act together it’s the most annoying thing a company can do.
I would give 0 if given the option
I would give 0 if given the option. After 3 hours of trying to subscribe, we are no further forward. Our money however, has been taken. Tried contacting via live chat… nothing happens. Tried ringing… no answer??? Scam???! Now I have the arduous task of cancelling the payment from my bank.
Programmes freeze when an ad should…
Programmes freeze when an ad should play meaning that as often as not the show has to be restarted. Baffling that so many streaming services have an option for subscription with ads but only Disney plus fails at such a simple thing.
