easy to find what I wanted

The website made it easy to find what i was looking for and the purchasing process was straight forward and i was notified in no time that my order was ready for colection which was also a seamless process. I'll definitely be shopping here this way in the future.

Worst online shop experience ever!

I ordered online €396 and got no order confirmation, there is no record of my order on my B&Q account, I paid through PayPal and the order is still waiting to be authorised by B&Q so the amount hasn't left my account yet. I rang customer service and they have no record of my order even though there is an official B&Q order number on PayPal. Apparently it was escalated to there compliance team but a week later and still nothing, contacted them this morning and was promised a response within two hours! 10 hours later and still nothing. This is the worst experience I've ever had with an online order. I can't cancel the payment through PayPal until B&Q have acknowledged the order. I rang customer service for a third time and was told there is nothing they can do because it went to the compliance team and because I rang back the second time it was going to be another 72 hours and they couldn't guarantee that either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just can not believe this...

I just can not believe this.... I STILL haven't received my 23 euro strawberry pot. TWICE it was delivered according to them but not to me. NOW it's out of stock whilst they find out where the other two have gone. Just atrocious service. NEVER again. I'm just relieved it wasn't something expensive. No faith it their online delivery now be warned

Delivery service is terrible

Delivery service is terrible. My order took 4 months for the counter tops to arrive. After 2 orders, leading to both having to have the order cancelled, due to not having the item arrive onto the delivery truck due to incompetence from all ends, these cancellations were then due to the delivery system being essentially flawed. Unable to get a delivery to a new address, and unable to change to a different delivery company, I was unable to get a clear answer to anything re. my delivery, and so after months of waiting, finally finally finally the 3rd time was a success.
Whilst B and Q essentially are good with their stock and anything that is available from the shop, to arrange a delivery for an item, never again, I will never order something to be delivered from the B and Q uk store to deliver to Ireland again. This is terrible service, I was at my end of my patience, but gave them one final chance. Now months delayed, I can finally finish my kitchen. Thankfully!! And no apologies from the company, a discount, nothing!! I would say that B and Q would never have noticed this mess up if I hadn't let them know.

Very disappointed with the delivery…

Very disappointed with the delivery process of the two orders we placed. Both arrived much later than agreed, and delays were not communicated properly. This involved, for example, items marked as delivered when they hadn't been, calls that were never returned, no response to an online message, misinformation given by one delivery company to B&Q, and an error in the country code of our address in the system of another delivery company, despite us having provided the correct information, which lead to 2-3 failed delivery attempts despite that the error was found after the first attempt and was suppose to have been corrected. We were waiting at the delivery location (a building site) to no avail several times. To top it all, the many calls we had to place to resolve these issues ended up costing us almost 100 euros, as we had to call UK numbers despite the order having been made from the .ie website. Some of the customer service agents we talked to were more helpful than others, but overall this was a disaster and we are unlikely to ever order from this website again.

Liffey Valley-rude staff

I was in your store in Liffey valley this morning and it was a very unpleasant experience. There was 1 woman only service on the tills and about 20 people queueing. I felt sorry for her but then I saw her being extremely rude to about 4 people including me. Also her co worker came to give her a barcode for the item I was buying and she snapped at me. So unprofessional. I will not be back Maybe put more people on tils and your customers would have a better experience

Great overall service and place to shop, sometimes things go wrong.

Placed an order 11/06/2026 for 2 lenghts of kitchen counter, kitchen sink and waste for the sink. Everything confirmed in stock and would be delivered 23/06/2026. Received confirmation email and was charged.
On 12/06/2026 received 2 new email stating the sink was out of stock, that I would still be receiving the counters and waste. I had to then find an alternative sink due to this "technical issue" where the system did not recognise there were none in stock. Fair enough it happens but unfortunately it leaves me paying twice for delivery for what should have been one order and both orders are being delivered the same day to the same address. Order 1 counters and waste for sink €16 delivery, order 2 only placed because sink was changed to out of stock, kitchen sink €16 delivery both being delivered 23/06/2026. Logistically and from a customer service view of things it would have been nice to have the 2nd €16 waived due to the circumstance of the error being on B&Q's side of things. Having said all this I only reduced 1 star for this as I have never had any issues other than this while shopping with B&Q either online or in store, staff are always friendly and helpful and I have never had to return an item as everything has always been in perfect working condition. Been a B&Q customer for 20+ years.

Dear B&Q Customer Relations,

I am writing to make a formal complaint regarding an order for kitchen supplies valued at approximately €2,000, which was placed on 21 April and has still not been delivered.

Since placing this order, we have contacted your customer service department on numerous occasions in an attempt to resolve the issue. During these calls, we have received conflicting and inaccurate information, including being told that:

The order could not be located.

The order would be delivered within 48 hours.

Various assurances that the matter would be resolved, none of which have materialised.

Most concerningly, during one of our calls, a customer service representative advised that she could not help us, leaving us with no clear path to resolution.

We are now several weeks beyond the order date, with no delivery, no satisfactory explanation, and no option being offered for a refund. This situation is completely unacceptable. We have paid a significant amount of money and have been left without the goods we ordered or any meaningful support from your company.

I am requesting that this matter be resolved immediately. Specifically, I require:

A full update on the status and location of my order.

Confirmation of a guaranteed delivery date within the next 48 hours,

OR

A full refund of the amount paid if delivery cannot be completed immediately.

If I do not receive a satisfactory response within 48 hours of this complaint, I will have no option but to escalate the matter further through the appropriate consumer protection channels and seek assistance in recovering the funds paid.

I would appreciate your urgent attention to this matter and look forward to your prompt response.

Terrible delivery service

Terrible delivery service! logistical nightmare, the promise of fast shipping but items arrived separately in one order and one item did not arrive at all. Could be couriers fault (DPD) but B&Q do not provide tracking when they fulfil orders like most retailers… their call centre is based in South Africa, they are very helpful but there’s not much they can do for an Irish postal issue and you’d expect B&Q to be based in ROI or UK.
