After two years of not being able to get a copy cat website of my business down, I am so happy to say that DMCA successfully deactivated the website so people and clients were not confused.

Thank you DMCA.com

Working with DMCA.com has been very easy and helpful. They helped me take down multiple photos from a website which was infringing on my material. 24 hours after sending the request they had the files taken down. I would highly recommend them.

There is a serious broken link in the…

There is a serious broken link in the system.
A website has been copying our content, filing a Fraudulent DMCA takedown and next thing Google just removes our site.
The offending website was registered 5 days ago.
I contact DMCA, but all they keep saying is they are not a government organization. I have pro protection and international copywrite registered,
DMCA protection does absolutely nothingI have been trying to call their offices, no one answers, i get voicenotes
I drove to their London office address, the people in the office laughed and said no DMCA office here
I pay for a professional help and explain everything. 2 days later i get a response " have you files a counter notice". Its pathetic.
I dont think DMCA are connected to Google or lumen at all., They are just a bunch of uncontactable people who go and file the counter for you, itsd quicker to do it yourself.

DMCA.com is a complete and utter scam

DMCA.com is a complete and utter scam! I paid $200 to get a site taken down that's blatantly selling illegal, cracked copies of my software—and not just mine, tons of others too. It doesn’t take a genius to see that this site is breaking every rule in every country imaginable. Even DMCA.com admitted it was obvious: they claimed they’d worked with this hosting provider before and that it would be “no problem” to get it taken down quickly.

Well, guess what? It’s been TWO months, and the site is still up, brazenly making money off illegal copies of my work every single day. The only response I get from DMCA.com is useless, automated garbage from a bot. Ask a question, and you’re met with more bot nonsense—no real answers, no updates, no action.

This entire “service” is a sham, a total waste of my money and time. I highly doubt they even bothered to check the site or reach out to the hosting provider. DMCA.com didn’t issue anything—they just took my money and disappeared!

Unfortunately, we are unable to locate your case in our system as we have not received any follow-up details from you. DMCA.com is not trustworthy

DMCA.com is not trustworthy. They sell certificates saying "we are DMCA compliant" to cybercriminals who ignore DMCA.

If you contact their support notifying them of this abuse, they don't care and just ignore you.

Websites that say have a DMCA.com certificate have no obligation to be DMCA compliance, the certificate is meaningless.

DMCA.com is supposed to be the industry leader? You provide certificates to criminals and when real businesses complain, you just ignore them. You are protecting the cybercriminals abusing your certificates and you pretend you care about copyright?

Absolute clown show.

Hi BigScoob,

We appreciate your feedback and take concerns about our services seriously. DMCA.com provides a variety of content protection solutions. This includes our Protection Pro services for content owners and our DMCA.com Compliance program, which allows websites to display a notice of their intent to respect copyright laws. The DMCA.com Badge also serves as a deterrent for content theft, signaling that the website acknowledges copyright protection and making it clear that content owners have tools available to enforce their rights.

The DMCA.com badge itself is not a legal certification or guarantee of compliance—it serves as a deterrent and a notice of the website’s stated policy regarding copyright.

If a DMCA.com Badge is being misused, proof of violation of our Terms and Conditions must be provided in order for our team to take action.

Our primary mission is to help content owners protect their rights, and we work hard to ensure that our services are used responsibly. If you have specific concerns, we'd be happy to look into them further—please feel free to reach out to us at support@dmca.com so we can assist you.

A very bad experience

A very bad experience, basically for $10 a month, you get almost nothing, if you ask for a refund they won't.

And for the actions Takedown will ask $199 for each website.

Don't pay dear people, you can do this yourself by contacting the hosting company, where the offending website is hosted...and it's FREE.

The hosting company is obliged to take measures if the websites hosted by them violate certain rules.

Hi Nicolae

Thank you for sharing your feedback.

I’m sorry to hear you did not find value in our services. We strive to improve the transparency and communication of our offerings to ensure clients fully understand the benefits of each service before making a commitment.

Clearly this did not occur in your situation. What did we miss? The $10 Protection Pro comes with a comprehensive list of included services that helps all users with their takedown notices (and more).
Unlimited takedown notice creation and management
Customizable takedown notice templates
Premade takedown notice forms from multiple jurisdictions
Website detective
WHOIS functionality
Monitoring
and a lot more
There is clear documentation on our website regarding the refunding of payments. I'm sorry this didn't happen the way you wished, by all means let me know and I will review your specific situation for explanation.

You are correct, our Professionally Managed Takedown service fee is $199. Many clients use our Professionally Managed service as their experience with hosting companies has not proven successful in removing content.

If you have additional questions or would like further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help.

This company is a total scam!

This company is a total scam!
They charge 199$ with a "guaranteed refund".
After they ask for extra money PLUS your refusal of their guaranteed refund JUST because they send an offer.
The extra money requested is usually 500$.
But if you refuse to pay these extra, they also keep the 199$ paid!

Thank you for reaching out and providing your information for review. Firstly, I would like to address the allegation that our company is a scam. It is important to clarify that at DMCA.com, we are committed to providing legitimate services to help individuals remove their content from the internet. We take great pride in the work we do and the positive impact we have on our clients' online presence.

Our dedicated takedown case workers work diligently every day to establish effective communication channels between our clients, our team, and the parties involved in the infringement. We take our responsibilities seriously and strive to ensure a smooth and efficient process for all parties involved.

The accusations made against our company are not only false but also offensive. We are deeply committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in our work.

Our standard DMCA.com takedown service is priced at $199 and is specifically aimed at removing copyright infringing content. However, it's important to note that non-standard takedown notices, such as those related to defamation, require additional effort and incur extra costs for a successful resolution. When a notice is identified as non-standard, we provide our clients with a detailed breakdown of the additional costs involved.

Once our clients receive the quotation outlining the additional services, they have the flexibility to make an informed decision. They can choose to proceed with the quoted services if they find them necessary, or alternatively, they have the option to request a full refund of the initial $199 payment. We aim to make the refund process as straightforward as possible, requiring just a simple request to our takedown team.

As a result of the payment dispute, our team was unable to proceed with filing the necessary notices to have the infringing content you requested removed.

If you would like to discuss this matter further or require any additional assistance, please feel free to reach out to me directly at trust@dmca.com. I am here to help address any concerns you may have.

Warm Regards,

Julie Lyle

Don't waste your money on this company

Don't waste your money on this company. It is controlled by BOTs that auto respond to everything. Quite clever as they keep taking your money and say they have contacted the perpetrator of your copyright infringement. But when you look at it properly, you are the one that has to load up at least 20 examples of your copyright infringements. These are automatically loaded into an email and sent to the website host who then gives them name of the website owner. The BOT automatically detects this and forwards on the email with your copyright infringements. If they don't get a response within a certain time frame, the BOT automatically sends an email back to you to tell you your case has failed and is now closed! All this for $200 !
Its a scam in itself. You have been warned!

Hello Mark

Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. It's important to us that we understand your frustrations and address them head-on.

I'm truly sorry to hear about your disappointment with our services. The intent behind our automated systems is not to create a sense of impersonality or inefficiency, but to ensure the multi step, highly transactional processes our team performs for you runs smoothly and efficiently. However, I understand how this might have seemed less personalized and transparent.

At DMCA.com, our primary goal is to help protect your content, and the steps we have in place, including the requirement for multiple examples of infringements, are designed to strengthen your case and to assist in ensuring the success of your takedown notice application.

Please be assured that our team of human case workers diligently monitors every case, interacting with hosts, and pursuing the copyright infringers. The automated messages are generated to keep you informed of the human efforts and actions at every step of the takedown notice process.

I understand that this process might seem complex, and I apologize if the outcome of your case didn't meet your expectations. Our ultimate aim is to see your case succeed, and it is indeed disappointing for us too when a case does not reach the desired resolution.

I want to reassure you that we are not a scam, but a dedicated service that operates within the limitations of legal protocols. I regret if our services didn't live up to your expectations, and I truly appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve.

Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you'd like to discuss your case in more detail, or if you have any additional questions about our processes and services. I'm here to help and can be reached at trust@dmca.com.

Total Scam - Do NOT Use

Total scam company. They say that they "guarantee" the removal of stolen content. When they aren't able to do so, they tell you to get a lawyer to fight the legal battle for you. When you ask for a refund pursuant to their "guarantee," they refuse. Be prepared to waste a lot of time and energy with fighting them via your credit card company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Dear David,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Firstly, I would like to clarify that our company vehemently denies any allegations we are a scam. It undermines the integrity of the dedication of our takedown team whose full time job is processing takedown requests on behalf of our clients.

DMCA.com's 100% money back takedown service guarantee does not cover the legal condition of an ISP/ Host processing a valid counter-claim. This is a process bound in law. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), a DMCA Counter Notice is submitted by the accused infringing website owner (ISP subscriber client) in response to a valid DMCA Takedown. Subsequently, it is the responsibility of the infringing website host to determine whether to maintain the content on their platform.

Our Terms of Service clearly state that if the ISP or Hosting company acknowledges receipt of a counterclaim and chooses not to remove the content specified in the takedown notice, a refund will not be provided.

Our strong recommendation to seek the guidance of an attorney is something we recommend to most of our clients and all of of our counterclaim customers. Particularly with regards to responding to a counterclaim as it necessitates a court order according to the DMCA law. Our clients can only benefit by receiving a recommendation to seek legal council. Consequently, we strongly recommend seeking the guidance of an attorney should any of our clients pursue this course of action.

If you require further discussion or additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at trust@dmca.com. I am here to address any further concerns you may have.

Warm Regards,

SCAM and hub for counterfeiters to use…

SCAM and hub for counterfeiters to use for fraudulent takedowns.
I had a scammy company in Vietnam stealing my art images and getting 'protection certificates' using this company. I actually had to file a DMCA against DMCA.com! Which they would not comply. They would not remove the content unless I paid them! What a scam. I have all the emails from Paul basically saying I need to pay them for their services to have infringing content removed for THEIR WEBSITE. Bunch of crooks.
UPDATE after the reply from DMCA:
If you are not a scam then you employ horrible business practices and incompetent employees, incapable of listening and following through with simple requests. I am also filing a complaint with the BBB There are still 'badge and certificates' out there from a foreign scammer that was stealing my art and using YOUR certificates to file fraudulent takedowns against my products in my Amazon store. I reached out multiple times and sent copyright complaints to your company to have these certificates removed....I was told I had to pay to make this happen. Guess you are fraudsters rather than scammers!

Dear Lee,

Thanks for sharing your information so that I was able to review your notice. Firstly, we are not a scam. Myself and the rest of the takedown team find this accusation quite offensive. It's disappointing to hear when people make claims like this, as we work diligently to help each person that reaches out to us looking for assistance with their content. We reach out to each person who submits a notice within our system to offer our services, as you can image this is a huge undertaking. While the results may not be to your liking, when our hard work is referred to as a scam it can be disheartening.

DMCA.com does not host any content for any client or user. Processing a takedown notice against DMCA.com cannot be successful because we have no control over the online publication of user content.

DMCA.com does provide a badge and certificate program which allow users to address their ownership and publication rights of content. The usage of this program is clearly outlined in our TOS found on the website. If any user is found in violation of those TOS their badge and certificate are marked as "Unauthorized".

It is not within our rights or responsibilities to determine who is the legitimate owner of the original content. We can only follow the steps as outlined in the DMCA, which clearly employs a DMCA Takedown notice system to enable rights holders to pursue the removal of content from a website. We can cannot perform this work for free and without contract for services.

I hope this information helps clear things up. If you have any further questions you can reach out to me at trust@dmca.com.

DMCA.com - good service at a decent price

DMCA.com has successfully removed my copyrighted photos from scam websites, Chinese sellers, and others. They also were able to stop a few USA sellers who were using my company registered trademarks as well. The service is much less expensive than the copyright lawyer I was using previously. I recommend them.

Who even is this Company??

This company is a non entity with powers that should be removed immediately.
They issue content takedowns with no proof from the 3rd party whatsoever.
No proffesional legal entity operates in that way. They will do anything for money even if it is unlawful.
They need to be stopped !!!

They take advantage of people that don't understand copyright laws by attempting to persuade them into upgrading their plan by hundreds of dollars AFTER the purchase. Their support team is clearly outsourced and they have broken English. They failed to take down a clear violation of my copyright and will take nearly two weeks to refund by $200. Word of advice to anyone before using this service, do your own research and know your rights with copyright laws. This company will try and take advantage of your ignorance to drain hundreds of unnecessary dollars out of your pocket.
