Horrendous
Horrendous. Please avoid this company. The lie. Shoddy workmanship, misselling salepersons who are just plain untruthful about what they say.
Laminate not wood.
Fix it. They won't
Snagging lists as long as your arm.
Rude customer service. I have only ever been polite.
Eventually they ignore you.
Not too recent but still costing
Not too recent, but still causing upset. 16.5k for a kitchen that didn’t have kick boards or boarded off tops as requested in plans on initial fits, shoddily cut cupboard backs, electric sockets under sink waste pipe, list goes on. A couple of remedial fits including peeling cupboard doors (that were meant to be solid wood, not laminate), a replacement kitchen counter and then repeated ride communications telling me to stop whining. Glad they’ve gone and can’t rip anyone else off.
Shocking business practice.
Taken money from a family member and closed down and noway of getting money back ! Terrible service from an awful company.

AVOID AVOID AVOID - Lack of customer service is the worst i have experienced from any company
They will take your money but wont deal with any issues caused by them.
We were sold a bathroom £8,000 (Small bathroom) based on the regional sales managers promises that it would be done in 5-7 days we could call him if there was any issues and he would sort it, we would be well looked after. After day 1 our home was left like a building site , materials & tools left all over the living room and hallway , boiler not working , house freezing cold, no hot water so completely uninhabitable for myself wife and 8 month old son (We had to move out for 15 days)
Lots of other issues such as damaging our tv unit in the Livingroom, kids ball pit and sofa in living room thick with dust and tile mixing material.. all pictures as evidence has also been sent to DM Design. after SEVERAL attempts to speak to management and voicing our concerns to the head office / customer service team we were promised a manager would call us back... After waiting a week with no call-back, (Friday) i called the regional manager who advised he would look into it and call me back Monday 100% and would do his best to look into compensation for us.. surprise surprise Monday comes and no call-back , in fact the opposite, we get told from the head office the manager wont be calling back and we need to email our complaint & someone will get back to us .... The work is now complete nearly 5 weeks later & still not heard anything back from this absolute joke of a company. They will take your money but wont deal with any issues caused by them.

I have used dm design now twice and…
I have used dm design now twice and can’t say I have had any issue the work carried out from design to finish been great. The surveyor came out gave me some tips on relation to the design. The work men were friendly and professional. They arrived early and finished late all work carried out was great, even added a plug in for me no extra cost. Overall I would not fault dm design
Had the lovely Anne Law round to design…
Had the lovely Anne Law round to design my old 1956 kitchen. She was brill! Took her time to explain everything to me as I had no idea. I asked lots of questions and nothing was too much trouble. She showed me the layout on her computer that best fitted my kitchen. Took in samples of the colours and types of wood, even had an assortment of door handles. I would recommend Anne to anyone. Could not fault her.
Stay well clear
The issues began with the initial sales consultation the person who I am not allowed to name misled us by assuring that the kitchen installation would be completed within 5 days. Given the scope of the project, this timeline was unrealistic, and had we been provided with accurate information, we could have made alternative living arrangements, especially considering we have a baby and two other children. Instead, we found ourselves confined to a spare room, often without water, as the bathroom water had to be boiled for the baby's bottle, which is far from an ideal situation.
Moreover, the salesman’s misleading information extended to the promise that all work would be done by DM Design, including painting. This was contradicted during the installation when it became apparent that painting was not within the scope of your services. This misinformation has resulted in a significant inconvenience and additional expenses for us.
The unprofessionalism continued during the installation when we were pressured to pay the full £17,000. When I questioned this, I was told it was standard practice, which I found to be misleading, as I am aware that many builders only require a deposit until the customer is satisfied. The installation day itself was marked by the laborer arriving alone, leaving early, and exhibiting disrespectful behavior by leaving faeces in the toilet without flushing.
This unprofessional conduct extended to the damage inflicted on my property. The list of damages includes laminated flooring in the kitchen, living room, and at the front door, a ripped carpet from an Acro dropped down the stairs, and scratched and damaged walls in the hallway, necessitating painting. Additionally, the electrician damaged my thermostat, resulting in out-of-pocket expenses for replacement and installation.
Furthermore, the overall customer service has been appalling, with constant pushbacks and a lack of empathy. Even when concerns were raised, I was met with smart remarks and pushbacks instead of genuine efforts to address the issues at hand. Your builders also expressed dissatisfaction with the company, citing unpaid expenses and even asking for time off directly from me. now I am not a bad human being but when I have been told that a job would take five days and instead is still not finished you can imagine my frustration. absolutely no customer service and instead of trying to resolve the issues I was met with wise remarks and also lies never once said he was sorry until I said this how ever his last email stated they done nothing wrong makes me wonder why he did apologise when I confronted him. I will attach a handful of the photos but I have more

A project that should have taken around 4 weeks to complete||
As we enter the third calendar year, some sixteen months after alterations to our house by DM Design began it is with a heavy heart we are still corresponding with them. The last visit to the showroom was on December the 21st, requesting information on the outstanding doors. Despite offering a solution to this problem, they had no answer....
I also requested information on the fitment of the replacement boiler that Caple had kindly delivered on the 8th of December. Customer services initially denied all knowledge of this transaction and only when I provided prove of correspondence with CAPLE and them did they agree to the replacement of said boiler. To be fair when I requested fitment prior to Christmas you said you would “try”. Now in the second working week in the January of another year, I thought you would have at least prioritised us for fitment soonest. But alas we await your response once again....
I wish I could correspond with Managers or Directors to make my feelings regarding the on going situation known. I have spoken to Customer Service on many occasions over the years but find that unless submitted to paper then there is little understanding of our situation. My frustration is compounded by the fact that all monies for this fitment were requested and paid for within the first week of work being carried out. That being as stated sixteen months ago....
I find the product to be of good quality it’s the project management, and customer service that brings our rating down.

Totally unprofessional and incompetent
Had a quote, signed a contract and paid £1,000 deposit for bedroom units. Days later I got a phone call from DM Design saying they needed more money as the Regional Manager who came out on the initial visit, agreed the design, done the costings etc had got the price wrong and they were requesting a further £800. Sorry but if they cant get the price right what else could go wrong.

I just had my bathroom finished by the company and i am extremely satisfied by the result. The entire proces went nice and fluid from the beginning till the end. I was impresed by the professionalism of my fitter Naz! The guy was very helpful, skilled, kind and attentive. Thanks again to the entire team. I would highly recomend the service to everyone. Big thank you again.
Dream Kitchen
Just had my dream kitchen fitted by DM Design and the whole experience was stress free from start to finish! Every member of the team was dedicated to providing me with my perfect kitchen, listening to my ideas and requests and going out of their way to ensure that I got what I asked for, if it worked, but politely and respectfully offered their advice and alternatives, if it wasn’t going to.
Derek and Daniel, the fitters, worked tirelessly, with hardly a break, to fit the units perfectly. And all the other tradesmen were every bit as polite and hardworking and also provided the highest quality of workmanship! The quality of the units and appliances are also first class!
I would have no hesitation in recommending DM Design to anyone who is considering having a new kitchen installed. Thank you to each and every one of you.

Grateful that DM Design respond to faults with urgency.
We did not have the best of starts with this company since our new kitchen installation in January. But, that aside, we cannot fault them on the way they rise to the occasion when there is a snagging issue. Our dishwasher door started crunching against the kickboard. Within 3 days of reporting it, 2 wonderful fitters arrived and detected what was wrong and fixed the problem in no time. Ben dealt with the complaint and organised the fitters. We are so grateful to Ben for his commitment and professionalism. Thanks, Ben.

Avoid DM Design at all costs. Absolute shambles of a company.
UPDATE Typical reply from DM design. Fortunately I have all receipts which I have uploaded to Trust Pilot. Another example of poor integrity and underhand tactics.
Absolute shambles of a company that lack integrity and are willing to provide false job reports to avoid taking responsibility for poor workmanship. I had a kitchen installed in 2020 that should have taken 2 weeks. 6 months later the kitchen was a complete mess. Communication with DM design was absolutely appalling and without a doubt the worst i have ever experienced.
Fortunately i took finance out which protected my rights and allowed me to raise a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman Service. During this process, DM design provided false statements and job sheets to avoid fixing several defects as a result of appalling workmanship. Thankfully i had the original job sheets that were provided and was able to evidence the integrity issues displayed by DM Design and the wider team.
Two years later and the Financial Ombudsman ruled in my favour and i have now been refunded the cost to repair terrible work provided by DM Design.
Please read the reviews prior to even contacting this company and if you are taken in by the sales pitch then please take out the finance agreement to ensure you have extra protection afforded under a Section 75 notice.
If you are in any doubt about the negative reviews listed against DM Design then simply do a google search "DM Design Financial Ombudsman" which will reveal the extent of poor practice and underhand tactics displayed by this company.
Please also search for "DM Design Kitchen Nightmares" in Face book which will also give you a flavour of the terrible work, communication and underhand tactics displayed.
If i could leave a zero star review then i would. Avoid DM Design at all costs.

Long on promise...
A lovely sounding lady called me and I arranged an appointment. One of the main things I told her was that I am a teacher, and therefore was not to be called during potential school hours. Twice today someone called whilst I was in the classroom. As I said to the lady who I cancelled the appointment with, if they can't be trusted with such a basic request, why should I trust them with my kitchen?
The lady in question then said that she hadn't got that information - something she repeated twice even though I said it was DM I didn't want to deal with. When I suggested she was making excuses for herself that she didn't need to she rudely interrupted me.
Definitely not someone I want to deal with.

Be cautious
First of all the product is fine. The installation is fine. The electricians and plumbers not so much. Our installation was started in July iirc and is still not finished. Doors still to be hung, the induction hob has been chipped during the final installatio and DM Design are refusing to acknowledge the damage as it was done after a QC check was done l, though how you can do this before the job is finished is beyond me. Electrician left wires loose and incorrectly installed thankfully this was found and corrected by a reliable electrician installing some othe things for us. Be careful DM Design will promise the earth, but really do fail to deliver on customer care.

Terrible company to deal with.
No project management resulted in my kitchen fit being done in the wrong order.
8 months later and still loads of faults that DM Design have not fixed.
So disappointed in the very poor workmanship.

Great company
I have just had my 4th different furniture installation from DM Design and each time the service from initial contact, survey and installation has been excellent.
The quality of the product is outstanding and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for home improvements.

DM Design new kitchen and studio - top notch!
We are delighted with our new kitchen and studio and highly recommend DM Design. Everyone from Anne the salesperson, James the surveyor, Graham quality control, Lorraine, David, Ben and all the staff at Head Office, and most of all Ferdi and Kerim (also Danny) the fitters were absolutely top notch. We have used many companies for renovation works over the years and can honestly say the DM Design team have been the best by far. Every renovation job has its snags and niggles along the way but in this case we were pleasantly surprised at how well everything went. All 'hiccups' were dealt with in a very professional, timely and attentive manner which was very reassuring. The quality of both the kitchen and the studio units and doors, worktops, sinks and taps are excellent and everyone who sees the transformation is super-impressed.
