DocBoss was built exclusively for the supplier-side of EPC project document control, not adapted from a generic document management system. That focus shows up in several ways that generic tools can't easily replicate. DocBoss handles the full supplier workflow end to end, from building the initial document register out of order and equipment data, through formatted submissions with customer-specific cover sheets, codes, and numbering, through returned document processing with QR code recognition and OCR, through to final databook generation at closeout. No other step in that chain requires a separate tool or manual handoff. The system is built around the reality that every EPC customer has different requirements. Customer-supplied document codes, numbering patterns, templates, statuses, headers, footers, and stamps are all configurable per project, not bolted on as an afterthought. A supplier running ten projects for ten different EPCs can meet ten different sets of requirements from the same platform without custom development. Databook generation is a notably strong DocBoss benefit. Fully compliant record books with bookmarks, hyperlinks, tables of contents, and correct pagination are produced in a single click, with the ability to generate separate compilations for each piece of equipment or multiple book types from one project layout.
