Generally I really like this app. I think the scoring seems to be fairly accurate. There is is one major bugbear though and that's it can't distinguish between using your mobile phone if you're a... See more

Easy to use but sometimes so sensitive about phone that did not use phone but app record that I use phone, sometimes phone in pocket or many times that still not driving or already arrived destination car already stopped then moved phone out app record that I used phone. This one quite annoying me , I had to fixed about problems with this drive all the times
It's great to see where to improve your driving. I have to keep checking as sometimes it says i am a driver when I am the passenger or on the bus.
A lovely application that is very useful and easy to use and makes it easier for insurance providers to have an overview about our driving habits and it makes it fair for all. I am so happy to have found a cheapest deal through them and highly recommend them for getting a good price on car insurance if you generally drive well and are looking to lower your insurance costs especially for pretty new drivers like me!!!
Great app..allows you to choose if you were not the driver for a trip
I'd seen drive score on an ad on my phone so I thought I'd give it a try out of curiosity to see how it rated my driving.
I ended up keeping the ap and it has so far helped me get lower car insurance because of my high score.
I'm a good enough driver normally but this has improved on my driving because you know it records your every move while driving, and I also like to see how high I can get the score.
I had to send my phone away to get repaired and the old phone I used didn't have a gyroscope and I missed having it.
I think the app is a good idea but it just doesn't work very well.
It doesn't record all of my journeys, it only seems to record fragments, parts of journeys. (And before anybody says it, yes I've granted it full persimmon for background running and I've always got it connected to the charger in the car).
Furthermore, to actually get your insurance quotes (which is really the point of the app) you have to click a link to upload your licence, so you click it and it takes you to a website where the simply isn't any option to upload your licence. So you can't get your quote anyway.
It also offers to provide cheaper quotes for car finance but it can't find my credit score even though I've been living in the same house for 12 years.

Having used the app previously, decided to use it again since my insurance is coming around again in a few months.
Quite annoying really.. I reinstalled it and used it for a full week, driving was spot on, no issues and yet my score didn't increase once.. touched the break a tiny little bit too much once and it drops by 25 points.. it's not rewarding good driving only punishing you if you do something even slightly wrong..
I never speed, I drive very carefully. On another occasion I had a bin waggon pull out in front of me from a side street, apparently I was wrong for applying the breaks a little. A good driver would have smashed into the side of the bin waggon, I assume..
Seriously flawed..

It a great asset for reviewing drives and help me to improve my driving skills
Not accurate enough, do not like the idea of being tracked everywhere I go.

I'm a little disappointed as I used DriveScore for a year and I managed to get a hard score of 989. Then I get a quote for insurance and it was more expensive than without this score. Not worthy to use it.

Overall a great little program, there are how ever a few little niggles that personally i would change. The app is accurate on most roads as far as speed limits, so far i have had no issues there, i ride a motorcycle and sometimes this entails a quick acceleration to go past, round an object, vehicle or situation, the app records this in a negative mode, for those out there who know the highway code we are allowed to accelerate briefly over the limit to avoid these previously mentioned items. That being said i would recommend this not only for any benefits financially but for continuous monitoring something many people dont do after passing a test and throwing away those L plates. Give it a go it cant hurt you and you may become a better driver/rider for it
The app was very glitchy and only recorded parts of journeys. The app claimed I was speeding but it had the speed limit for that particular road incorrect. My son holds my phone while I drive and the app wrongly thought I was touching it while driving. The app couldn't tell the difference between a car and a train or bus. There's far better ways to correctly monitor your driving and of the bunch I've tested this was without doubt the poorest performer on every level.

Great app to hone driving score and does help to get you thinking about how you drive but......
As for saving money on car insurance! watch out, they limit their search and when you get quotes from expensive companies, that they then get savings on, the net effect is far bigger than it would have been just shopping around anyway. Bit of a con really, sadly
