Wow - Dropped.UK are brilliant

Wow. What a great service. This company has a really simple to understand platform for a person new to drop catching like me. Customer support is very very quick too. I had a couple of email enquiries about the transfer process as I hadn’t done it before and the speed of reply and thorough explanation given was great.
Highly recommended 👍

Worked perfectly

Worked perfectly - they captured a must wanted domain. Be mindful the domain expiry is not the date it can be caught, there is a grace period before dropped can capture. Thanks!

Fraudulent service

Entered backorder a couple of months ago. Was told if there were other backorders against the domain, it would go to auction. If not, I would get the domain. Got a simple one line message from dropped.uk upon expiration saying "Sorry we couldn't get your domain". Then they did not answer questions about why there was no auction or awarding of the domain.

Reply from dropped.uk

Explained to the customer that a different registrar caught this domain with no relationship to dropped.uk. Customer requested I start an auction. Explained I couldn't auction something I didn't own.

Does what it says on the tin!

Easy to use and highly responsive when contacting the support team.

I backordered my domain about a month ago and eagerly awaited the day it dropped. Got an email notification this morning saying it'd been caught, the process of paying for the order and transferring the domain to my registrar was quick and easy.

Best customer service ever.

Fantastic service, Guy was amazing at talking me through everything. I've been hoping to buy back my domain after it was sold without my knowledge 7 years ago and Dropped made the whole thing so simple - can't believe it only costs £35. Probably the best customer service I have encountered ever. Would 100% recommend. I didn't understand the process but Guy emailed me back within minutes every time I had a question and walked me through it all. Very, very impressed.

Had a domain on backorder

Had a domain on backorder, then got an email that it wasn't successful. From reading the website I expected it to go ok and if someone else wanted it then it would go to auction. Looked like someone else got it regardless.

A three letter domain such as sbl.co.uk is highly sought after and no Registrar can guarantee every domain backordered is successfully registered. There are currently 2,825 tag holders for .UK and each one can participate in drop catching. I can also see there were over 3,400 attempts by these tag holders to register this domain, and only one of those attempts can be successful. We secure many domains for clients, but we also cannot catch everything.

Great support!

I selected a couple of domains to be caught, one i missed out but managed to get the second one. There were a few issues in migrating the domain to cloudflare but Guy was on hand on a Friday evening/Saturday morning to assist with migration.
Great support, thanks!

Easy to deal with, very reasonably priced, clear instructions

I lost my domain name, which I had for 22 years, due to Falcoda failing to renew it and disappearing with my payment for it. In a conversation with Freeola, they mentioned dropped.uk (they did not endorse the company, but stated they did backorders for domains). The process of getting my domain back was incredibly simple and not as expensive as I feared and they have very clear guidelines for clients to follow on their site. Definitely recommended.

Caught a valuable domain for us

We own a popular website (two words) and wanted the .co.uk address with a hyphen. We set up a drop catch on dropped and they did it and we now own it. Super easy and a very valuable service.

Great budget .uk domain catching service.

Some great free features with these guys, such as free bulk whois, instant registration, great prices as well. The dropcatching is hit and miss. I think I've caught 7 domains or so with this lot having chased well over 10 times as many. However when you do get a catch, £35 a domain is impossible to beat anywhere else. Great layout for droplists, also excellent data on domains. Other features available. Seriously, give these guys a go
