Outstanding service

Being a landlord not living in the UK, I was impressed by the Druce team, and in particular by Stephanie Gunther, who not only found a tenant but continuously provided strategic suggestions on the flat (ie cleaning, removing objects) in order to achieve the best result in the shortest time frame. Negotiations were conducted by Henry Duke. I had two other agents on board working at the same time and Druce was by far the most active in terms of viewings and constant contact with me. Outstanding service. Well done!

Flat disaster - property management

I’m a tenant of a flat rented out by Druce. One person from negotiating team was pushy and not the most professional. Their phone line was not efficient either. Over a Saturday morning, my flat flooded from a burst pipe the floor above and I had to move all my belongings out of my bedroom and move out. I couldn’t reach anyone over the weekend and has to move out due to the safety hazard.
However come 9 am Monday, I called and spoke to Saif Musawi, the new property manager who immediately came in with a contractor, a team of electricians, etc, to assess the damage and ascertain whether I could stay in the flat. Saif was extremely professional, quick thinker and actor, and highly efficient. I’m providing this review as I was impressed by his professionalism despite the disastrous experience I faced and my neutral view of the estate company. I have only the highest praise for how efficiently Saif was able to fix and deal with the damage to the flat and my belongings. He is an excellent property manager whom Druce are lucky to have

Excellent service

Vlad and Stephanie were really great in helping us find a property. They were very efficient, professional, and responsive throughout the whole process. They have continued to be as helpful since we signed the contract and Vlad has promptly replied to any queries we had. Thank you very much!!

Extremely poor service, avoid.

Hilarious UPDATE..........From their Chief Legal Officer: Druce lost my keys. Inarguable they admit it. I requested they change the locks. They refused. I reached out to their Chief Legal Officer.....his response "As a gesture of goodwill, we will pay for a new set of keys"! They LOSE my keys which I PAY them to safeguard as part of our Agreement and they are doing me a favour by replacing keys that could be in some criminal's hands? DO I HAVE TO SAY MORE ABOUT THE STANDARDS OF this bunch of cowboys?????

Don't be fooled by the ratings, there was different ownership and leadership 3 years ago when all the positive reviews came in. They go through staff like I go through peanuts! I have had nine property managers and now 3 Heads of Property Management in the space of 3 years. Today this is an agency that epitomises what is wrong with Estate Agency business in the UK. There are plenty of agencies that are honest ,dependable and demonstrate a high degree of concern for their clients. Some of the big ones however, are run like puppy mills, with employees, (through no fault of their own)i who are very inexperienced, and totally inept in their jobs. Druce, has aspirations of becoming a very large company, led by some ex Foxton's people who in my opinion are terrible at their jobs and funded by a billionaire from Singapore. They are too important to respond to emails ( I have decided that it has happened so many times that I refer to it as being Druced ) and they have built a wall around themselves so that you cannot call them and discuss an issue. If you want to, for some insane reason use a Chain agency, make sure every discussion is followed up in writing. I believe one of the reasons why their property managers are so bad, is that they have too much work and do not have a system of follow-up. You have to chase and re-chase on every single item. I have had to resort to numbered bullet points and then resend the email asking for updates. If you think, hiring a property manager like Druce will save you time and money, think again! I was far less busy, less frustrated and received a greater share of my rent BEFORE Druce .
Recently they decided to start charging for the service of witholding 20% tax for HMRC for overseas landlords. My contract with them has this included and also the contract stipulates that changes in fees must be notified in writing with 90 days notice. The amount they are charging ( for 1/2 hour once a quarter....their number not mine) is £600 a year.....which works out to £300 an hour ! And what justification does their Area Director of finance give.....we wish we did not have to pass this cost along to our customer😂. Which in business speak, means we want to squeeze more money out of you.
They went ahead and charged me this fee......until I brought to their attention that they were not allowed to do this and then they refunded the money......without an apology. They are not nice people in my opinion. Be careful, be very careful.

Little do they know…

Who makes the decisions? The landlord or the agency? I placed an offer for a single-occupancy apartment after the landlord had turned down one offer for double occupancy, stating her desired requirements. Then, after being kept in the dark, I was told the landlord has accepted the previous offer. When quizzed, I was told the couple work at “Bloomberg,” a big company. This was a case of gatekeeping at its finest by the agents very basic biases.

Could not recommend Druce more!

I had such a wonderful experience with Druce. Thomas Last was such a professional, friendly and helpful letting agent. He listened to exactly what I was looking for in a rental property and we only required one afternoon of showings because the apartments he showed me were exactly on the mark. I now have my dream apartment in Chelsea! So efficient and made a typically stressful apartment hunt feel so easy. A million thank you-s to him!

Stephanie Gunther was also incredibly helpful in helping me obtain the necessary paperwork and references necessary to get my housing application to the finish line. I'm an American relocating to London and therefore my application was a bit more complicated, but Stephanie coordinated everything with the landlord and helped me square everything from New York. She was a fantastic advocate, so transparent and thoroughly helpful!

I could not recommend the agency more thanks to these two professionals.

Joseph Nathan is great!!!

I was very unhappy with the letting service I was receiving from Druce and put a call into the Area Director Callum. He allocated Joseph Nathan to the job and everything immediately changed. Great communication and a positive result!!!!

Eoghan Redmond: a highly professional agent

Eoghan Redmond provides a highly professional service, quickly identifying the types of property sought and arranging suitable viewings. His knowledge of the London market is good and he is especially helpful in advising on asking prices and following up with vendors on any queries. He happily looked for properties outside his area and sent me a great selection. Within a week he found me my dream flat in an area that wasn’t even on my radar and at a great price. I liked that Eoghan was always punctual to viewings and didn’t try to pressure me in any way to make an offer. I couldn’t fault the service he provided and highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy. He’s an extreme nice fellow too which is always a bonus.

Herve is a top-performer

Herve has provided an outstanding service to both his client and I.
He was diligent in the search, understood my requirements and demonstrated a can-do attitude, which I really appreciated.
I have now moved in a decent place and the family is happy.
Given that I had limited time, I had also contacted other agencies, but Herve did beat them to the punch, thanks to his attention to details, listening skills and commercial sense.

Quality does matter

Iqbal was a pleasure to deal with for me as a prospective buyer, while at the same time sparing no effort for his clients who are selling. He made himself available at short notice for viewings, but allowed me the time and space to make my own decision without being too pushy. When I come to sell, Druce will certainly be in the running for careful consideration.

Successfully managed a tricky sale

Jacinta and her team did a great job in selling my flat despite numerous obstacles and loads of intricate issues cropping up during what became a really difficult and prolonged process. Jacinta, in particular, was extremely supportive, empathetic and quick to identify solutions. Without her help and expertise, I suspect the sale could have fallen through. And that would’ve been very bad. So I do really recommend Druce Brook Green for sales.

Perfect experience with Thomas Last

It was my First week in London and urgently searching for a flat. Coming from NYC I expected the process to be awful. While it did have its ups and downs, agents like Thomas Last made it easy. Sadly the right flat wasn’t with Druce but I would recommend Thomas to anyone moving to London or looking for a new flat. Thank you for making it a better experience.
