Shopped in Duane Reade near central park NYC night and the staff were so very rude. As all the products are locked up I tried to get assistance dispite looking and calling nobody responded and I eventually found a member of staff hiding behind a column who refused to help me. Generally all the staff are rude and arrogant. I won’t ever use this shop again!

I contracted a severe case of pneumonia and tried to place a on line order for 2 simple medicine items that were in stock and available to deliver to me but once when there online system failed me I called there customer service number for assistance. What a joke" I spent from 5am until 3pm and probably talked to maybe 10 customer service people including there main customer support center and none of them ever did follow through and help me. No problems on my end with my method of payment I explained to them after I said that they insisted I provided them all my banking information even though I asked to wait to see if my 2 items were available first so now they have all my card information which obviously I'm very suspicious about this!
Then just left me hanging after there automated system told me my bank information was received successfully with zero interest after it was recorded in helping me because the agent claiming to be helping me with all this disappeared after my info was processed. So now on top of being very sick im have another big concern of a very possible scam or fraud attempt! Totally unbelievable. Something you fear and read about but never suspect from a trusted company. I've reported all this to there corporate level with assurance they will be reaching back to me on this so besides monitoring my bank info we will see if there promise to investigate all this for me holds true or not.

Very rude employee. when I asked him a question, he walked away from me after being rude. I sent email complaint but no response. Walgreens Asheville Merrimon Ave. I don't remember exact date. The other clerk was quite nice and knew who I was talking about when I mention it to her.

Duane Reade Pharmacy on Court Street does not pick up the phone for customers - called twice and was on hold both times for more than 7min.

Duane Reade used to be a good drug store. Apparently they no longer employ adequate staff to serve their customers.

Walgreens, the parent company, you’re failing at customer service.

Duane Reede Water St - what a dump! Nearly all products locked up and you have to call a “customer service exec” to get your product for you. I’ve never seen such a nutty system. The staff said it’s because they get shoplifters. Well, duh! How about employing a security guard or using tech devices. I wants 6 items, requiring six rings on little doorbell type devices to call six staff. Actually I didn’t bother - I left.

Walgreens Broadway 94 St,New York, NY. This location is horrible. I was falsely accused of stealing by cashier and security guard. I was asked to remove items from my pockets in front of customers and Staff in store. I came in to redeem bottle returns. Bottle machine is in front of store. According to suvillance camera I never entered any aisle of store. This was very humiliating and cause severe mental illness. Until this day nobody want to accept responsibility not apologizing or didn't show up for court to answer complaint. This store staff are treating customers in a reckless manner and falsely accusing them of stealing especially African Americans. This is unacceptable and everyone should be treated equally. Always treat people the way you want to be treated. Should be ashamed of yourself how I was treated. Stop the discrimination with shoppers.::((((( This has caused so much harm to my health and quality of life.::(((

Be careful of buying damaged products in this store and they don’t give refund! Duane Reade on Water St in manhattan. The business shouldn’t even get a star but that’s not an option. I went there on 3/10/22 and purchased a goggle play card. I scratched the code and gave the info to my friend. My friend tried the code twice and was denied. I tried the code and was told redeem to a different account already. My friend then tried and received the same message. We couldn’t use the card and I paid $200 for it. I called Walgreens corporate and reported the problem. I shouldn’t have to pay for a damaged product that is useless. Their corporate office responded and said the card was redeemed and it’s not their problem. Duane Reade walgreens sold damaged products that cannot be used! They don’t care about their customers! Who dare to purchase a play card or any gift card in the store when the product may be damaged? Then they expect you to pay for it so that they can cheat you. Yes, that is exactly what this business did to me and Duane Reade Walgreens will continue to cheat their customers! I paid $200 for an invalid play card. That is a lot of money! I am also waiting for Goggle to respond. They don’t have a live person so I don’t know what year they will respond. For now, everyone just be careful and think twice if you want to purchase anything at Duane Reade Walgreens!

I go to Duane Reade for speed and convenience not for the price. I had a horrible experience on Thursday December 27 th around 8:15 am. I wanted to pay for a few products one of which was some 1/2 price chocolates from the holidays.

The first negative was there were only two cashiers and about six people on line. I always thought the "customer comes first" and the funny thing was one of the managers ( a man who appeared to be in his mid to late forties) cut the line and went to one of the two only cashiers working leaving customers to wait. Most were probably on their way to work.

There was a problem with the price on the candy and it was higher than the advertised price I recalled on the sign. The display was downstairs so I didn't want to hold up the line so I asked the cashier to void the candy and just charge me for the one other item I had. She called to the manager on line who had the key or card to run the void and he totally ignored her and walked away.

I had to wait a few minutes for them to call another person to void the candy. During that time I asked the cashier if he was a manger and she replied "yes". She just shook her head like this has happened before.

I hope someone in Duane Reade management reads this although I am copying it to the survey on Duane Reade's website and Trustpilot. The cashier was nice although the store never has enough cashiers and they do not have people in the floor to help you.

I would not recommend this location at 34 St and 8 Ave as they are nothing more than a glorified high priced 7-11. I would fire the manger if he worked for me. I will go to the CVS across the street in the future.

Duane Reade on 6th Ave in-between 55-56 streets AND Duane Reade on 57th Street off 6 Ave in NYC NY NEED professional management as most Staff is unprofessional from their I'll existing management to cashier's.
It's always unpleasant to visit these two locations but I live in the vicinity and there are no other options.
