My maid of honour dress slayed!

I was so impressed with the quality and fit of my bridesmaid dress from Duntery. I felt amazing and got so many compliments at the wedding! The free customised sizes option really helped me too. Highly recommend!

Ordered a tulle gown in uk4. The dress is very suitable for photo taking, the skirt is very large, and the fabric looks good. Fits also perfectly. Definitely met my expectations.

I've had a bad experience

I've had a bad experience. Firstly, this is not a UK store, and they do not mention the delivery date, and it comes with odd packaging, and the dress size is unsuitable and the fabric is of poor quality. It was completely a waste of time for me to return it with my own money and they asked for the tracking number.

High-quality

I was hesitant about ordering this dress first time but I had absolutely no need to be.Because this is my second order. The dress arrived well within the promised time scale and it is beautiful. High-quality material, exceptionally made, and fits perfectly. It looks just like it does on the website. I would order again.

Make returns impossible

Hassle free returns couldn’t be more wrong. I ordered a dress and I didn’t like it on and it was far too long for me so I decided to send it back. I was told I must provide photos to prove it didn’t fit properly (I didn’t do it) and was then advised I would only receive 80% refund, I had to pay shipping and advised there are issues shipping into China and some other issues if I don’t supply a tracking number. They’ve made it almost impossible to make a return, I’ve never received my refund. Would not recommend unless you’re 100% certain you won’t return.

The dress arrived quickly

The dress arrived quickly, fit perfectly, and looked just as in the pictures online.
Especially the flowers on the dress, very delicate and suitable for summer. Highly recommend shopping for any occasion.

Gorgeous dress! Shimmers in the sunlight!

I loved this dress! The color was exactly as shown on the website. As the sunlight reflected off of it, you saw many different colors from pink, to blue, to purple. Ot fit perfectly, and was made to my measurements. I received so many compliments on this dress and can’t wait to wear it again.

Despite 'hassle free returns' - no returns allowed

I ordered two flowergirl dresses and recommeded shawls to match for the bridesmaids, while the dresses were great the shawls were a very different shade despite all being 'Jade'. Despite the claims of a hassle free returns policy, there are no returns - which is contravention of UK Consumer Rights. I was told that it was because they were different material they were a different shade of the same colour. I was offered an offensive 10% refund on the nearly £60 - for shawls that I can't use as they are not fit for purpose due to them not matching. I had relied on the 'no hassle returns' which was a misrepresentation - along with the colour.

I would never buy from this site again.

I would never buy from this site again.
I order 3 dresses, which 2 didn’t fit. You have 5 working day to let them know you wanted a refund. I told them the same day. Firstly you have to pay for postage which was £11.99 x3 then because I had to sent to back, it costed me £32 in postage. When I sent them back they asked how much the value was which I told them £140 but in fact it was £158. My dresses sat in customs over 2 months as I was emailing this company for a refund, which they finally told me I had to pay a customs charge of £28.
The total amount I paid for the dresses was £79 x 2 postage to me was £35.97 to send back £32 and customs charges £28 which was a total of £253.97 the refund I got back was £98.40 for both dresses because they said they only give 80% of the refund back. I was so upset I’m a single mum and to lost that amount of money was heartbreaking. My advice would be DONT BUY FROM THIS SITE. They say Uk but they are in china..,

Please Avoid

Ordered a bridesmaid dress which arrived fairly quickly. The dress is good quality however the colour was completely different to what was shown online. I understand there can be a difference between online photos and the colours of fabrics in real life however the so called 'cinnamon rose' colour was cerise pink. The returns and refund policy is a disgrace to say the least. Using the excuse of only being able to give an 80% refund due to dresses being "made to order" is nonsense as I know of other companies who offer full refunds and who provide free shipping labels. Serves me right for using a different company and for not reading the reviews first!

*Duntery's response to this review states that as I ordered a custom dress there are no refunds - I did not order a custom size dress.

Stay away from thia company.

Stay away from thia company.
First i didnt realise my dresses were coming from china. Duntery UK? NOT
Arrival time ok but wrong dresses sent. And i ordered a J6 and J10
I received wromg dress size PE? Measurments are inbetween their web sites J7 & J8 also received a J12 which is making me think i may habe someone else custom order.?
Anyway i emailed cust services and reveived a reply from Maya which is actually an automated email. Explaining their returns policy..basically they dont let you return but i could but would have to pay shipping. And would not get a full refund...still ongoing. Think im going to do credit card chargeback and write it off as a bad experiance

I’m looking for a wedding dress but in…

I originally gave a poor review as I was not happy that the fabrics used in the dress didn't colour match properly - it was supposed to be all burgundy but the stretchy skirt fabric has a pinker tone in natural light. Duntery initially refused to recognise this a a manufacturing flaw and give me an 80% refund, as it was custom sized. I pointed out that this didn't comply with trading standards and best practice. However after several weeks of messaging and me sending the dress back to China we have resolved it and I have a refund.

Overall I'm sorry to say I wouldn't buy from them again but the actual dress I received was well enough made and designed, other than the fabrics and I'm sure many sales go through without a hitch. If you buy from them I would just say be aware that their returns policy isn't fair and can cause lengthy issues if the problem isn't straightforward damage or such like. An edited version of my original review follows:

I’m looking for a wedding dress but in burgundy rather than the traditional British white/cream. A friend suggested Duntery as they had a couple of options that looked suitable. I was hesitant because of their returns policy but decided to give it a go. I had got a fabric sample but was extremely disappointed when the dress arrived and the top and bottom fabrics didn’t match. The top is burgundy but the bottom half is a fabric that changes tone depending on lighting and looks way too pink in natural light. It also doesn’t drape quite as it looked online which I don’t think is just down to my shape. Final thing was the arm holes are quite small and would’ve needed altered. Although I had asked for a custom size (almost 14 but slightly bigger, so could be resized easily) so knew their policy was no refund I contacted them. British trading standards means they should refund or replace if an item isn’t fit for purpose, which it isn’t. I’ve had a complete runaround with their customer service.

In response to Duntery’s comments, yes people have different colour perceptions which is why it is important to ensure fabrics match and are compatible. The skirt fabric looks too pink in natural light compared to the burgundy top - something that is not evident on the website images. As a physicist I understand optics and this is not simply an issue of my own retina responding differently to other people’s.

However, when we registered the return, we found that you had modified it to a custom size before the production process. We also informed you in advance that custom sizes are not returnable. So according to our policy, your custom-sized dress cannot be returned unless there is a quality problem. Secondly, regarding the colour issue, everyone has a different degree of acceptance of colour. The dress was made of the same fabrics as the models. Finally, since custom sizes cannot be returned, to reduce your losses, we can also provide you with some compensation following our compensation policy. Please contact the customer service asap. Problem resolved swiftly and easily

Ordered two bridesmaid dresses and unfortunately one arrived in the incorrect colour. After a little bit of messaging via email with prompt responses the issue was resolved and the correct dress is now with me. The quality of the dresses are lovely cannot fault them so happy I decided to buy them from Duntery. Great value for money.

Avoid

Very poor quality. Bought a prom dress for my daughter arrives with stitching coming away at the seams. Contacted support they offered to give me 20% refund and to keep the dress. After asking for a full refund I was told I would lose shipping costs that I have paid plus would need to pay high shipping fees to refund

Ordered a custom dress for my child

Ordered a custom dress for my child. The length of the dress is longer than my child’s entire height. They told me I should be able to tell from the model that the dress “runs long.”

Per the response below, your emails to me specifically said I cannot return it and you offered me 10 dollars.

If I could give zero stars I would. Their return policy is horrendous. If you order from them - you must assume nothing is returnable....even if you just need to try on different sizes. The dresses are priced low, but nothing is returnable (for any reason).
