Bad customer service

Bad customer service. Cancelled my order because they “ want to avoid a situation where we end up dealing with a prolonged customer service issue” this was regarding me choosing express delivery

Regarding the answer: no I did not chose the wrong one I chose express delivery and wrote you cause I saw I hadn’t been charged enough and was making sure it was right in case the website was lacking. This is where you answered that you just cancelled my order

It is disappointing however that the review omits so much of the context of why your order was cancelled.

Your order was cancelled as you had in fact selected the incorrect shipping method, potentially leading to a situation where your international package would be delivered after you had left the country.

You had advised us that you had intended to select the Express option and needed the package to be delivered within 5 calendar days (4 Working Days) at which point you would be leaving the country.

You had in fact, selected the Economy Shipping option which delivers in 8-12 Working Days meaning that the package was estimated to be delivered between 6 and 12 calendar days after you had left the country.

Given the time-sensitive nature of your request and the risk of the parcel arriving after your departure, we made the decision to cancel the order to avoid further complications (examples: customs clearance, signed for delivery etc).

We also invited you to place a new order using the Express option and provided guidance on the likelihood of timely delivery.

We always aim to be clear and proactive in our communication, especially where delivery timelines are concerned. Unfortunately we couldn't guarantee delivery before you left the country - something that is somewhat beyond our control.

If you have any further issues regarding this order please feel free to reply to the last email that we sent to you and we will be happy to provide you with a further response there.

Normal wear and tear DV8

I bought a pair of Gola Harrier men's sports shoes online from DV8. The rubber covering on the sole at the heel end of the shoe started to wear out after 6 months revealing the hollow spaces beneath. I only used the shoes lightly, no sport or heavy usage. This was the second time for this to happen with this shoe, the other occasion being with another company. I reported this to DV8 as something they should know about this Gola product. To be fair they responded quickly and politely if also a little condescendingly, stating that this was normal wear and tear and to be expected.

Am I expecting too much to get more than 6 months normal wear from a pair of shoes?

Easy to find

Easy to find on the website and quick delivery.
Unfortunately they were just a tiny bit too small to be comfortable even though they were advertised as a size 12.
Had they been available in a bigger size I would have exchanged.
Shame as they were just what I was looking for and looked great on.

Not Good

Ordered 3 pairs of Trainers...
Should of come 3-5days later...
8days later they came, on day 7 day of waiting for the Trainers to arrive, i got a email from DV8 saying they were having a sale, 2 pairs of trainers i ordered were alot less than what i paid, So i reached out to the Customer Services!!
I have never been so gobsmacked in all my days... Rude & unhelpful..
I'd just spent over £200 & i was told send them back AT YOUR COST & RE'ORDER YOU WANT THEM CHEAPER!!
Honestly.. In my book thats not how you do Good Business or Keep your customers!! Late Delivery, Charged for P&P, Get Rudely Spoken with C.S!!
If there was a Option to give No Stars I would!! Suffice to say Wont Be Shopping With DV8.

Our website clearly states that orders placed by 3pm Monday–Friday are dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 3pm or over the weekend are shipped the next working day.
Your order was placed over the weekend, which preceded a Bank Holiday (also noted on our site), and was dispatched on Tuesday, 15th July.
Tracking confirms it was delivered the following day—Wednesday at 10:46am—one day ahead of the advertised 1–2 working day delivery window.


POSTAGE & PACKING CHARGE;

The £3.95 Express Shipping fee is clearly displayed both on our Delivery Information page and during checkout. We aim to be transparent about all charges.


RETURNS POLICY;

We understand your frustration regarding the price reduction after your purchase. However, like most retailers, we do not offer retrospective price adjustments.

This year, the Bank Holiday fell on Monday, 14th July.

The dress was lovely but I had my concerns that it was a returned item as there was no ribbon through the dress which is usually put through by AX Paris so you cannot wear it and send it back .
The postal service was awful too as it needs a signature unless you go online to change it so it can be put through your letter box!!!!

We have confirmed to you that not all AX Paris items include the ribbon that you refer to (we invited you to verify this with AX Paris directly, who would have provided you with the same information).

We also provided you with a video showing a freshly delivered package of the same item that you ordered being opened. This showed an unopened seal on the AX Paris packaging and when opened the item did not have the ribbon that you refer to.

We are not only an official AX Paris stockist, but one of the largest stockists in the UK/Ireland and we very much assure you that the item was brand new and unopened when you received it.

Regarding the delivery service - you did select a 'Signed' service and so the courier would typically require a signature (they wouldn't put it through a letter box without obtaining the signature).

You can of course instruct the courier to leave the package without a signature, by following the link provided in your email.
