Same courier - same delivery problems

Tracking number 1256243717.

I've had four Amazon deliveries from the same DX driver - two have been left on the driveway in full view of the street, one left outside the front door without a knock and the latest beats the lot. Today's delivery is shown as 'having been attempted' which is far from the truth. At the time given, I was actually stood on the driveway watering plants with no sign of the courier. I've checked my CCTV (which covers the driveway and the front door) and again, no sign of the courier. I've complained to the company by phone and as per previous incidents have been promised that my comments will be passed on to the depot. I won't name the courier here but what I'm struggling to understand is why does this individual continue to be employed by DX?

Chris and his partner were great. I had experienced delayed delivery prior to this one but Chris and his partner made up for it. This delivery was swift and they were nice to talk to and deal with. Very happy with their service , top guys

Absolutely terrible

Edit to add that today - for the 4th time in a row, they didn't try to deliver and pretended that they did and left a card, which is a blunt lie since I have been home all day.

Shockingly unprofessional. I've been waiting at home for my delivery for 3 days now. The first day, their tracking system said my order was out for delivery, no time window, so I staid home all day waiting for it. Nothing. The second day, they gave me a 2 hour time window, but when that window came to an end they displayed "we couldn't find your place", even though no other delivery company has ever struggled to find my place. The third day, they gave me another 2 hour time window, so I waited at home again, and by the end of it their tracking system said there had been a problem again. An hour later, I says that they tried to deliver and left a card for me to rearrange delivery, which is not true, as I was home and there is no card anywhere outside or inside my building. They are the most incompetent and unprofessional delivery company I've come across. Avoid at all cost. I won't shop from companies using DX anymore.

courier lied and parcel contents damaged

I did not choose to use this company, unfortunately it was the courier chosen by an online shop. My package was left damaged beyond repair next to my front door for over 3 hours in the rain.
However on DX tracking information it has been logged as signed for.
Absolutely disgusting way to run a business.

UPDATE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW

Following on from the review below, I have to praise DX Freight for there service since contacting them.

Their central office still doesn’t understand that a local depot is as they continued to give me the wrong info, but on tracking down my local depot, I spoke to the Operations manager and he sorted out my redelivery and called me to keep me informed of progress. He also arranged to put the items on a suitable sized vehicle to deliver to the required address.

Big shout out to Andy for his help on this.

Apologies about the previous rant as I maybe tarnished you unfairly with all your other similar brand names but you definitely deserve 5 stars for your customer service.

Yet again another useless failed delivery from this so called delivery service. Companies only seem to use them because they are cheap and boy does it show. You definitely get ( or in this case don’t get your delivery) what you pay for.

From now on I’m making a point of checking with suppliers who they use to deliver and if it’s DX then I will it use them , as time and time again they have been deplorable.

I don’t know of the intelligence Of the drivers they use but they can’t even seem to do simple things. ie if they can find your address, then why not phone me using the number I gave on the deliver instructions !!!!!

They have got to be the ABSOLUTE WORST delivery company I have ever came across.

Even if you get through to their central tel number they put you in contact with the wrong depot and give you wrong info. It is beyond a joke.

How their suppliers put up with them is beyond me, it is only because they are so cheap , otherwise non one would use them.

IF ONLY THERE WAS A ZERO BUTTON . Your company is diabolical . Iv waited in two days Thursday for one collection of a damaged radiator and Friday for the replacement radiator which was also damaged . Still no show . Your customer services are as about as much use as a chocolate teapot . Radiator outlet exactly that same . I refuse to wait In another day . I own my own business and I’m not prepared to wait any longer . Why companies use your firm is beyond me . AVOID AT ALL COSTS . GOOD LUCK TO ANY COMPANY USING YOUR BUSINESS .

Why is there no way to award minus…

Why is there no way to award minus stars for this lot? Two days in a row they claimed they couldn't find our address even though we provided two phone numbers, a map and even 'what3words' location (with which even the dimmest of the dim is supposed to be able to find his way anywhere) but all to no avail. They never did manage to deliver the parcel as they claimed they then crashed their van and the police impounded it along with and all the parcels inside. I believe that about as much as I believe Boris to be decent, honest and trustworthy. In the end the sender had to send a replacement with a proper courier company.

Absolutely unreliable

Absolutely unreliable. Two days waiting for an item to be delivered according to their own tracking, but nothing arrives Bad business and completely unacceptable. Furthermore, not notifying the recipient of the reason for non delivery, cannot contact at 5.10. and online chat not working.An earlier email has not been replied to. Such people don't deserve any business!

LET DOWNS.

Tracking number L1258947 loaded for delivery from Nottingham at 08.22 to come to Derby 30 mins max.Still no delivery what a great courier service NOT will avoid companies using this service in the future.

Dear incapables

Dear incapables, where is my third parcel? i ordered 3 parcels last week to be delivered by you but your incapable selves have still only delivered two. Why couldn't you put all three on your truck at the same time, instead of delivering one parcel a day? Yes, that's right it's because you are incapable isn't it! Over a week now and your incapable selves still haven't delivered my parcel. You really are quite incapable aren't you.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

I used DX as the main courier for my company for about 3 months in early 2021. In a space of 3 months, we suffered losses and damages of around £6000 for shipments which they lost or damaged.

After 3 months of emailing and calling daily, we finally received £250 in compensation.

Their customer service is appalling and we received our first and only negative reviews as a company as a result of DX's abysmal quality of service.

They keep losing shipments, although I don't know how you can lose tables that are over 2 metres long and they keep damaging everything. We reached a point where we spend most of our money on packaging materials and extra protection and their drivers still damaged the items.

There is a complete lack of professionalism when it comes to accepting responsibility for their mistakes.

Over the 3 months we used DX, our customers complained about things such as:

- waiting for up to 3 weeks to have delivery of their items since dispatch
- only partial delivery with the rest of the parts being lost
- impossible for customers to contact DX to arrange delivery
- a customer received a mattress instead of the table we originally sent.
- customers who had to drive miles to another address in order to pick up their shipment that got delivered to a complete random place in that town.
- customers who had the drivers show up with nothing to give them. The drivers would then lie to them that it's probably us who didn't send the items out in the first place which is an absolute joke.

When I tried to speak to them several times in order to improve things, the response I had was "we have over 75% success rate on your shipments so that's pretty good". 75%.... for someone who ships out 10 items a day, that means we had to deal with 2-3 unhappy customers a day which would then mean issuing refunds and compensations on a daily basis.

It was the first time in my life where I genuinely came so close to having an absolute mental breakdown.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I don't generally leave reviews often but I think it's my responsibility to warn anyone out there to not use this company. They are the absolute worst courier company I have ever encountered.

Please don't use them. I would personally walk my shipments to my customers rather than use DX ever again.

NOT VERY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Got message saying delivery will be on 1st didn't appear, called them up, didnt have my delivery. Called company who was sending my parcel and it was them who explained to me that they had given it to a 3rd party delivery service. And the company I ordered from had no idea they had done that either. I would suggest send your employees to customer service coarse and especially pay close attention to communication.
