We had a scheduled delivery of wood for our log burner for Friday 7.9.18 between 9am - 5pm. However, when we got to 3.30pm we realised our delivery was not on a lorry for delivery but was still at the depot after checking the website. We called Dynamic Storage and had this confirmed.
We were advised next delivery would be Monday AM. This did not happen so we rang our supplier of the logs who kindly chased up the order and was told it will be there by 5pm that day. In the meantime, I rang Martin Jarvis who is their Depot Manager who was firstly unaware that our delivery on Friday did not place and only knew about the Monday delivery. He apologised and advised that the driver was sick and they had to get in an agency driver in. He said he would phone the driver to ensure it was delivered to us. Martin advised the reason the wood was not delivered on the Friday was because the haulier did not deliver the wood to the depot by 6am on the Friday and arrived at 7.30am and the lorry had already left for that day. However, we rang our log supplier and they emailed us the proof that the haulier had actually delivered to the depot on the Wednesday!!! Martin blatantly lied to me.
Martin however had called the driver and he was diverted to our address. Our delivery arrived at 4.20pm. It was apparent that we were never going to be a morning delivery as our pallet of wood was at the front of the lorry so we were the last drop off!! The poor driver had to unload several items off the lorry to get to our pallet. This took him 25 minutes. We noticed that the items he had to unload had a Friday delivery sticker! So there must be more annoyed customers who didn't receive their deliveries.
The driver was absolutely tired but very pleasant.
