Very helpful mechanic arrived within two hours and fixed the problem quickly. I liked the tracking updates so I could see how far away the mechanic was. The only reason its not 5 stars is because two... See more

Cannot cancel automatic renewal
My breakdown insurance is up for renewal 7 February. It cost £18 last year this year they want £81 automatic renewal! I have scoured the website trying to find out how to cancel automatic renewal with no success. I have sent two emails asking for help. The replies refer me back to the website as it is an Internet based company. What can I do now? Nothing! All those happy with dynamo beware at renewal time......

Good breakdown cover
Easy breakdown cover to get and at a good price compared to other companies.
Awful! Refused to accept renewal cancellation, lied about offering me a refund and stole money from me.
Awful awful company. I chose not to renew breakdown cover after they came back with a quote four times the first year. But then they emailed claiming that they were still charging me for ‘Motor excess protection’ and ‘Guarenteed vehicle hire’ neither of which I had ever requested (or even had quotes for) from them. Apparently they’d ’split these off’ from the breakdown cover and so although I’d cancelled the renewal of that they were still charging me. I complained and they offered to cancel both but still charge me over half for ‘admin fees’. This was basically more than I’d paid for a years breakdown cover. After further complaint they offered a full refund but then went and took £59:99 from my credit card! Absolute con, they are just thieves.
It was quite straight forward
It was quite straight forward. Reasonable cost for the ckver I require.
First time I am using Dynamo.
Impossible to contact this company for help
The company is impossible to contact by phone. I needed to amend my policy when I changed my car. I was advised by email to cancel the policy, take out and pay for a new one and I'd get credit towards the new one. I couldn't do this and could not contact anyone by phone for help so I gave up.
Dynamo also ask for photos of the car's dashboard to validate the policy, something I've never been asked for before by a breakdown service.
I will not be using Dynamo again.
