I booked in for someone to take a look at my shower and give me a quotation for a repair. Getting the appointment was a breeze and the person that showed up was great really polite and helpful. However I was told that I would have the quotation in a few days, we are now 3 and a half weeks on, no shower and no quotation. I rang 3 times once per week and each time I was told the quotation would be with me that day.

Really poor service and so disappointed as it started off so well.

Asked for a quote to fit bathroom suite.fitter came to review work required,said I would need new waist pipe to outside drain huffed and puffed shaking his head would need to rip part of recently fitted kitchen to get to the waist pipe,I questioned him about what seemed to be a relatively new fit to a major work.
He left and not heard anything since no quote nothing
I obtained an excellent plumber at a reasonable price to fit the suite without the need to replace waist pipe.

I have insurance with Dyno/British Gas for plumbing and called them for a dripping shower mixer. When the plumber attended he confirmed that the fault wasn't part of the contract and a quote was given at £175.00 for parts and labour. The work has been carried out satisfactorily, however, I now know that the new part retails at around £50 and a 20 minute job has cost around £125 which feels excessive. I will in future seek another contractor for work that is outside the contract.
