I read so many reviews before purchasing the supersonic hairdryer as it’s definitely a pricey product .. I decided to go for it despite the negative reviews. I used it twice, over 1 week and then... See more

Technical support is an exercise in futility – incompetent and circular
I recently purchased two Dyson Hushjet Purifiers. While the hardware is fine, the customer support experience via Messenger was honestly some of the worst I have encountered.
I reached out with a specific, technical integration issue: the Hushjet registers in Google Home as a "Fan" device type rather than an "Air Purifier." This causes a functional clash where global voice commands for ceiling fans incorrectly trigger the purifiers.
Despite providing detailed screenshots and clear explanations, the "support" I received was a week-long loop of irrelevant, canned responses:
I was told to rename the device (which does not change the metadata device type).
I was suggested to use a different mobile phone to "separate" the machines.
I was bounced between a "Robot Team" and a "Connected Team" with no actual resolution.
It is clear that the support staff either do not read the conversation history or lack the technical literacy to distinguish between a "Device Name" and a "Device Type." After days of back-and-forth, I was simply told the machine is "a purifier and fan all in one"—completely ignoring the actual technical feedback provided.
For a premium brand, the lack of a competent escalation path for technical software feedback is unacceptable. If you value smart home integration that works, be prepared for zero help from their support teams if things go wrong.
Do not waste your money thinking you’ll…
Do not waste your money thinking you’ll get a great mop attachment with this vacuum.
The Dyson Submarine Vacuum performs well as a vacuum; however, the mop attachment is extremely disappointing. It is cumbersome to fill and attach, is prone to leaking if not connected perfectly, and is impractical for cleaning larger areas. In practice, it appears to spread water across hard floors rather than effectively cleaning them.
Given the price of the product, the mop function does not meet reasonable expectations and I would not recommend spending the additional money on it. When I contacted Dyson, customer service repeatedly stated that the product works well instead of addressing the concerns raised, which was frustrating and unhelpful.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Overall, this experience has been disappointing and has made me reconsider purchasing products from this company in the future.
Curls don’t hold at all…
I am extremely disappointed with the Dyson Airwrap i.d. that I recently purchased. Even though I carefully follow the instructions and styling tips, the hairstyles I create simply do not last. When I do curls, they don’t even hold for five minutes, which is very frustrating considering that long-lasting results are part of the promise.
What’s even more surprising is that my hair usually holds styles very well. Whenever I leave the hairdresser, my blowout lasts for several days without any problem. Unfortunately, this device does not deliver the results I expected.
I’ve been using the Dyson V11 for a…
I’ve been using the Dyson V11 for a while now, and it’s honestly one of the best home purchases I’ve made. The suction power is impressive — it easily picks up fine dust, pet hair, and larger debris in one pass. I especially love how it automatically adjusts power depending on the floor type, which makes cleaning feel effortless.
The battery life is great for a cordless vacuum. I can clean my entire apartment on one charge without rushing, and the LCD screen is surprisingly useful for tracking remaining time and maintenance alerts.
It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and works just as well on carpets as it does on hard floors. Emptying the dust bin is quick and hygienic, and the attachments make it super versatile for sofas, corners, and even the car.
Overall, the Dyson V11 feels powerful, smart, and thoughtfully designed. It actually makes vacuuming less of a chore — which is something I never thought I’d say about a vacuum cleaner.
Omg I bought a new V8 on the 22nd of…
Omg I bought a new V8 on the 22nd of November and still to this day have not got to use it as it didn’t work.. Tang Dyson and they sent a new motor wouldn’t give me a new one. The new motor didn’t work in it so said it was the head and would send me a new one I said no way I want a new V8. So sent it back and nearly three weeks since they received my new one that didn’t work I still haven’t got my replacement . Such bad service I would never recommend them and I have Dysons for years but this is ridiculous.
Do not order a Dyson on the internet
I ordered a Vacuum on Black Friday for a Christmas present. 5-10 day delivery. It's now Christmas eve and no product to review. I would think I'd been scammed but I've called and spoken to Dyson. They have my money and order - but they have no care for customer service. I wish I'd read these reviews before purchase.
Wouldn't recommend to anyone
Wouldn't recommend to anyone can’t tell me when item was dispatched. Signature was forged customer service wouldn’t help at all. I am without a Xmas present I paid for and they couldn’t care less. Very poor service and very poor care factor
Excellent service Dyson
Excellent service was given when my Dyson V12 stick vacuum cleaner needed a service. Tweed Heads to Sydney and return with a full service in between took 5days, and a week before Christmas. For a cost of $199 that included return postage, full service with new filter and power head included I thought it was great value. Thanks Dyson, your customer service is excellent
Promised ‘return to sender’, then delivered anyway — now refusing to process refund as requested
I ordered a Dyson fan and attempted to cancel immediately while the order was still “processing”. Dyson staff initially confirmed they would request cancellation, then reversed and said it was “not possible” until after delivery.
After further back-and-forth, Dyson then told me they would open a cancellation ticket and have the courier mark it “return to sender”, and that I’d receive updates via SMS/email.
Despite that, the item was delivered anyway. Worse, Dyson had already acknowledged my current address, yet their email confirms delivery to an old address at Strawberry Hills Post Shop, 219–241 Cleveland St, Redfern (an address I had explicitly described as a former address).
Their email (from Alvin | Dyson Support Team) then states they are “unable to process” the return/cancellation because it has already been delivered — which contradicts what their team said in writing about return-to-sender and refund.
This is not a premium customer experience — it’s disorganised, inconsistent, and wastes the customer’s time. If Dyson can’t cancel an order that hasn’t been dispatched (or can’t stop a “return to sender” once raised), they need to fix their systems and stop making promises their back end can’t honour.
I won’t be buying from Dyson again and neither should you.
Complaint Regarding Missing Accessories and Unequal Treatment – Dyson Airstrait
On December 7, 2025, I purchased a Dyson Airstrait™ Hair Straightener (Amber Silk) from Dyson Turkey via Hepsiburada as a gift for my wife. Upon receiving the product, we noticed that the hair clip and carrying pouch, which are supposed to be included in the box, were missing.
After reviewing customer comments on Hepsiburada and speaking with friends who purchased the same device, I learned that Dyson Turkey has sent the missing accessories to some customers who contacted customer service after purchase. Based on this information, I contacted Dyson Turkey customer support myself. However, I was informed that these accessories were provided only while stocks lasted and that customers who purchased through Hepsiburada were not eligible to receive them, even if the product was sold by Dyson Turkey.
I find it unacceptable that customers who paid the same price are treated differently, and that our issue was dismissed with explanations that do not resolve the unfair situation. As a long-time Dyson customer, I am extremely disappointed with this approach and with the unequal treatment applied.
I respectfully request that the missing hair clip and carrying pouch be sent to me free of charge and without further delay, so that my grievance can be resolved properly. I would also like to emphasize that it is particularly concerning that these accessories are said to be “out of stock” when requested as part of a campaign, yet are available for separate purchase, which I believe does not reflect the standards expected from Dyson Turkey.
I look forward to your prompt response and a fair resolution to this matter.

I have ordered a hairdryer which has been on hold for 5 days and despite having 2-4 day shipping time. I have called twice and both times they have told me the truck is full...
Very poor customer service
I would not recommend purchasing directly from this company

Dyson AirWrap Styler - total dud
Dyson AirWrap Styler - 13mths old, still under warranty and black marks appearing where you add styling tools. They look like they could be burn marks(?). Used the online chat to book a service, the person/bot booked me in with the wrong service centre and included an incorrect return address. Trying to get this resolved and over an hour online and I'm getting no-where. Seriously infuriating that this is the level of 'customer care' you get when you spend a fortune on Dyson products. This experience has done me in, I don't care how good your product is, when things go wrong, that's when you show what kind of company you are and what kind of integrity you have. Lost me as a customer forever.
Delivery - not received
Advertised as 2-4 business days delivery but it’s past the time frame. Worst part is the item is currently back to its starting point
+ nightmare customer service
Infuriating
Infuriating.
$999 vacuum stops working after 10 days.
Troubleshoot didn’t work. So they sent out a part, and then after waiting for 10 days they say there are stock issues.
So I ask for a refund and after 5 week delay, they say I’m outside the refund timeframe due to them delaying their response.
Nice move. But the ombudsman is a better one.
Customer service 0/5
Response delay 100%
Never purchase a Dyson, unless you’re prepared to go to the battlefield.
Don’t bother with Dyson, go retailers
Ordered a Dyson Airstrait from Dyson directly and 4 weeks later still have not received my order and when questioned they are expecting me to chase the delivery company for its where abouts. Don’t bother with Dyson buy from retailers much more reliable.
Long time customer with great experience
I have been a long term customer with Dyson, first vacuums (2xbarrel, 1x handheld/stick) then air purifiers, i have given older units to other family members if i have decided on a newer variant. If I have encountered issues I have spoken with the client care team to perform any additional troubleshooting shooting not found online. If the problem persists I usually take the item into the NSW service center. Over the period of having many items the team have always been helpful and professional. Repairs to my devices that were simple are usually addressed promptly. Where more complicated the team have kept me updated on the progress. Some issues have occurred during the guarantee period and others have not. Most have been simple Repairs and a couple were more complicated. I have always had great after sales assistance, to ensure my items are working as expected. Having a very connected (smart) home, these can be scheduled to run automatically or via voice command on demand. All units have been used and performed well. There may be some issues that are encountered during a products life-cycle, i think only one issue i have experienced related to the wifi module that was very unusual, i was still able to obtain assistance and outcome that I was happy with and will still have me recommend their products
V8 stick vaccum
Bought the V8 stick vaccum through Harvey Norman and absolutely love it. Simple and easy to use, I wish the battery lasted a little longer, but otherwise great.
Decreased quality and inferior call centre
Compared to my 10 year old Dyson fan this new version is not exactly quiet like they say it is, the plastic feels cheaper and brittle. Still looks nice. Very light.
Cable…given that Dyson prudential drives in their design asthetic it is odd they have used a chocolate coloured electrical cable on a white and silver coloured appliance. Why not pick up on one of the existing colours for harmony and a neat visual aesthetic? This is not good.
Another issue, the internal call centre is TERRIBLE! When I pay 4-5 x more for a Dyson fan vs a Kmart fan if similar style, I don’t expect to receive inferior standards of service when I need help.
Having to repeat myself 4 or 5 times and still not get a simple query resolved is ridiculous. Sitting on hold unnecessarily for extended periods, again over a simple enquiry that should have and could have raven 1minute!!! Then when I ask to speak to an Australian service department I am ignored and they try to put me through to another department within the international call centre despite me pressing the correct enquiry on automated service.
I eventually was transferred to an Australian based customer service member who resolved my query in 30 seconds. I was also told that the OS call centre is meant to transfer customers to Australia upon request.
I’ll look elsewhere for my next fan as Dyson isn’t worth the extra money.
The worst customer service in Australia
I have always trusted dyson and I still have no complaints about their products. Always good quality.
But honestly. Buy their products off someone else. They officially have the worst customer service in Australia. I ordered a Airwrap I.D which cost around $700, expected delivery time of 2-5 days. Yet after 7 business days I had no product, and not a single email, text or phone call to say my delivery was delayed. I had no tracking number or information on where my product was. So, I messaged on their chat bot and finally got an email. But the email didn't give me information, no, instead it said that they will have to do an investigation and I would have wait another 3-5 business days (delivery was already 2 days late). I couldn't believe my eyes so I replied and asked if they could offer a partial refund or giftcard. But no, all they could say was please be assured we are looking into this for you, plesae wait 3-5 business Days. I followed up on the 3rd business day and I got no response.
I have now sent 4 different emails over the last 3 days and not received a single response via email, text or phone, truly pathetic. Yes they are good quality product but the worst customer service in Australia.
