I ummmed and awwwed about the decision which folding ebike to get for my commute across London but pretty soon landed on E-go bikes. Upon arrival I had a slight issue with the chain and general set-up, bike noob that I am, but Glenn was patient and supportive, and went the extra mile to make sure I was 100% comfortable with what I had to do and happy with the bike itself. It’s early days but it’s gorgeous and I’m looking forward to my commute in a way I haven’t before!

Wow - It’s been a long time since receiving such a great level of customer service from Katie, Glen and the E-Go Bike team!! In a World where Covid seems to have been used as an excuse by some companies to leave you on hold, to not respond to enquiries and or reduce their staff levels these guys show how a good company should operate.
I made my initial enquiry via the companies Chat facility on Thursday Feb 24th at 9:00AM re the E-Go Max - no auto bots asking inane questions but a very pleasant and instant response from Katie. All my questions were answered which was around speed of delivery as I am heading to the lakes on Monday and need the bike by then. Instant phone call from Katie again to confirm if ordered in the next hour it would be with me on the same day by 1:00pm!!!! So I ordered at 10:00AM and it was delivered by 1:00PM exactly on the same day. Not even Amazon can do that and to cap it all the bike had been put together for me, Amazon would never do that.
Now I am local to their depot here in Kent which did make a difference on delivery speed but WOW.
The bike is amazing and if you follow the guidelines and instructions it works amazingly well. The battery is strong and as long as you don’t max it out on setting 5 or Cruise it makes a huge difference to cycling and battery length. I have just returned from a 10 mile ride (2 hours) involving one long brutal hill which this baby made so much easier. A good mix of effort from me and the battery on level 3 and Ive only lost one bar on the battery icon since the full charge last night.
If your looking for a foldable yet sturdy and well made e-bike then I would thoroughly recommend E-Go Bikes.

I ordered two e-go max (bundle) bikes and requested a delayed delivery date. Both bikes arrived on the requested day – great, thanks.
Having fitted the Mudguards and Rear bike racks and placed the batteries on charge all were going well. Note I found it easier to deflate the front tyre when fitting the front mudguard rather than bending the bracket.
One of the two batteries only took 25 minutes to reach full charge battery second one took 2.5 hours.
On our first cycle ride with both bikes of 7 miles the bike with the battery that charged in 25 minutes failed after approximately 4 miles – battery fully discharged!
I contacted Glenn Russell at e-go bikes to discuss the battery problem and Glenn he agreed to supply a replacement battery on a next day delivery. The Battery arrived the next day at 7:40 am – thanks Glenn great service. The replacement battery took 2hrs 40 minutes to charge fully.
Repeating the same cycle ride confirmed that the originally supplied battery was faulty which Glenn arranged collection. Re tyre pressures Glenn recommend 45 psi front and rear.
Having completed several more rides all is well and the bikes are GREAT.

My wife and I are both thrilled with our E-Go Bikes. We only wanted them for short trips when we go caravanning and also day trips out and about. The best features are the light weight and portability of this bike. An added bonus is that we can can get both bikes into the back of our mini (with the back seats folded down). The travel bags are very handy too especially when lifting the bikes in and out of the car. Finally I must add that Glenn has always answered our queries promptly (always a good sign) and seems genuinely keen to offer good customer service.

E-go bike, a small family-run firm, is impressive: efficient, prompt and responsive. The bike arrived within three days of ordering and when it arrived damaged in transit, they immediately sent another and picked up the first at the same time, leaving me no paperwork to deal with. The e-go bike lite is just that - light, automatic gears, disc brakes and a battery aesthetically incorporated into the seat post. Very satisfied with this purchase!

Terrific bike, which was a very well-received Christmas present for our son. The bicycle arrived with a damaged display, but this can happen and it's always how well the occasional problem is handled that matters. Glenn was communicative and did everything to get a replacement sent over, despite being closed for the Christmas period. Great job overall and I would say "buy with confidence".
Excellent pre and post sales services, all questions answered and first class delivery. Bikes are excellent, recommend this company.

Bought my e-Go Max from an online retailer (LaunchElectric) as they were the first to come up when I was looking for one of these - however, really happy with it! Had a minor issue with the gears on arrival, one adjusting screw was bent - but the store quickly sent me a replacement screw by post! Now that I have fitted mirrors and a rear rack-mounted light, been using it regularly for work as our car park gets rather full now..!
Customer service is 10/10! I love the e-bike lite. Super worth it! The only drawback is the seat that is not too comfy but the rest is great!

Customer service pre purchase was exceptional. Glenn answered all my questions of which there were many! I opted for the single speed lite.
I have done about 7 miles on the lite now through hilly Yorkshire and overall am very impressed.
I recommend the throttle if you live in a hilly area just to get you going on a hill start (as the lite has one gear).
I think the chunky tyres work well with the small wheels as it mitigates the bumpy ride some people experience with 16inch wheels.
I use the breaks a lot and they seem OK. The ride is jerky over a prolonged downhill break which might mean the disc isn't completely straight, but it isn't a concern and let's not forget how well priced the bikes are.
The motor is powerful and quiet and I've tried some serious inclines.
It is easy enough to fold and is quite chunky compared other folding e bikes when folded. However to get a significantly smaller fold you're looking at £2,500 bikes, which wasn't worth it for me.
The weight of the bike is such that you could easily carry it on and off a train, or in and out of a boot. You couldn't comfortably carry it up a flight of stairs. It is awkward to grab besides the weight. If you want to walk with it folded (eg. through a building) you can keep the seat post at full height and wheel the folded bike around. I haven't tried the carry bag but I imagine this would make it easier to carry if it has decent straps.
I am 5ft 11 and I get a comfortable upright riding position with everything extended out to the tallest setting. I prefer sitting upright. Any taller than me and you would need the lite plus or bigger.

My order of 2 Lite+ bikes arrived in less than 2 days. Well packaged and easy to put together. Have not had chance to try them yet, as weather has been freezing. They look good quality bikes, nicely made.

I am a pleased owner of two e-go fat max plus e-bikes for myself and wife.At 74 we never imagined we would ever ride 40 mile journeys.These bikes make it so easy a pleasure to ride and very good value for money.Recently had a warranty issue on one of the bikes if you ever worry about aftercare buying online don’t.Glen the company owner was unbelievably helpful and knowledgeable and sorted my issue very promptly and professionaly.Totally recommended e-go bikes.Thanks Glen Jim Taylor

Being a cyclist of many years I spent a long time researching for electric bikes assist for my wife who has bad knees etc and we wanted something for our camper van. I came across E-Go and communicated with Glenn - who was very good and steered me in the right direction as to what would suit. Made a faux-pas but Glenn was understanding and changed the bike from a lite to a lite+ with no issues at all. As a result we bought two!
