An excellent auction company

An excellent auction company. From first contact to selling my item they were very helpful and paid exactly when required. Friendly people on their end. After my first experience with them I would certainly send them more stuff to sell and heartily recommend them.

Good experience overall.

Well conducted auction, followed up by prompt invoicing including very reasonable shipping cost for a 6kg bronze figurine. There was a shipping issue (my fault!) but this was handled politely and efficiently.

Excellent !

We used Auctioneum recently, using both the 'auction' and house clearance services. In terms of the house clearance, Chris and his wonderful family were absolutely amazing. This was a huge clearance, including very heavy machinery but nothing was too much trouble and they were meticulous in their approach. Would definitely recommend. From the auction perspective, Annie and Richard were also excellent, spotting many items that we would have otherwise discarded. There is an element of trust required with such an undertaking but Auctioneum can definitely be trusted! Thank you

Visited the premises in Bath and all…

Visited the premises in Bath and all very nice, good talk with the assessor. BUT with fees I received half the sale value and payment took ages.
I guess all in their terms and conditions but turned out to be a worthless exercise. My advice pursue a private sale if possible

Very disappointing experience

Very disappointing experience. I entrusted them with a china tea service that had been a wedding present to my great grandparents, so well over 100 years old. When they listed it, they stated 10 cups when they had been given 12 cups. I thought it was just an error in the listing as i could see 12 of what i thought were the cups and saucers in the small photo. A response to my email querying, included an email that i was not intended to see saying 'there were only 10 cups, this woman clearly cannot count!'. I had photographed the tea service before handing over, so had proof there were 12 cups. I did receive an apology from Annie, who also agreed to waive any fees, but the cups were never found and the tea service, now incomplete, did not sell. I felt upset that something that had survived in perfect condition for so long was damaged or lost in their care. I retrieved my other more valuable lot from them as no longer trusted them. Having been excited about putting some lots to auction, it became a very negative experience.

All items all sold

They did manage to sell all of my items. The lady who dealt with it was professional and helpful. I will just say it takes about 6 weeks to get your money from the time the items sell. To me that does seem a long time considering they had the items for more than 6 weeks before the auction roughly so the whole process is a rather long one.

Classic car purchase online

Purchased a high value item through their website. The registration was easy, the process straightforward. Very professionally collated paperwork promptly sent and a collaborative and helpful team who were flexible on payment terms and collection. Easily the most user friendly auction house I have ever dealt with in terms of buying and selling. Thank you Toby and Tracey for your personal service.

Don't buy Lot 40 in the current Militaria, Etc sale - FAKE!

This is a warning to anyone wishing to bid on Lot 40, supposedly a nameplate from locomotive CREDITON. It is an obvious fake as has been verified on various expert fb pages, and is only worth scrap value of around £80. The auction house has been told of this but are still inten ding to sell it as the real thing. BUYER BE VERY AWARE!!!

Fun Day

Great fun experience, also filming Bargain Hunt on the premises. Emma and Tracy were overly helpful and professional and calm under intense pressure, well done ladies.

Selling Antiques with a Support Dog

Visiting Auctioneum last week and meeting Yohi and then having a home visit from Evan yesterday was a fantastic experience, they are friendly and helpful with all aspects of selling antiques and collectibles. They have so many upcoming sales for all different categories. My favourites are the Asian artifacts and the Jewellery and gem auctions. I thoroughly recommend their services. Support dogs are welcome and my Arnie nearly accidentally bid on a rather large vase!!

The auction itself was very well run…

The auction itself was very well run with excellent visuals of the lots and very competent bidding. Highly professional.
Picking up the items was an excellent plus. Very clear directions and a team who were able to competently discuss the lot and explain possible ways to get lots that had been passed over.
Will be bidding with them again soon.

Highly recommended

Accurate listing description. Very reasonable fees.
In-house shipping so no need to go to an outside shipper who usually charge a lot more cash to do the work. Quick shipping with lots of protected packing. Highly recommended.
