AVOID IF YOU LOVE YOU ANIMALS

Awful company. All they care about is money. Will make you book another appointment just for your animal to get antibiotics when they could give them out on the 1st appointment. Emma Hobbs is very rough with your animal and doesnt seem to care, only about how much money she can make for the company. The clinics ate filthy and your pet is guaranteed to get fleas from any of the clinics.
Their complains procedure says 10 working days online but they'll lie to you and say they'll get back to you within 14 working days. They need to update this as they're giving out incorrect information once again.
Avoid if you love your animals.

Please Take Your Pet Elsewhere

I made a huge error joining this vet. I thought they would act with care and consideration towards my pet, but it turns out that I was entirely wrong. They don’t care. They simply do not care about the health of my animal. It seems that I’m not the only one, reading through the reviews on TrustPilot.

Every time I speak to them about my dog, I have to explain every single part of his medical history three or four times in order to get the treatment he requires. His medical history spans nine years - more than half of which has been at this vet surgery. I am frequently asked questions the answers to which are in the notes. Zero preparation, zero care, zero continuity or consistency of care - and when I asked for a meeting with the Hospital Director to voice my concerns, I was told they are on ‘extended leave’ and it’s not possible.

It has been suggested to me by both veterinary staff and admin staff that if I don’t like the way they work, that I should find another vet. That’s exactly what I’m doing today. I am having to take my ten year old dog to a new vet because his treatment is not important here.

I urge you and implore you, please take your pet’s health and your business elsewhere. In no way has Eastcott Vets shown the required care or compassion towards my dog that they should.

Do not use.

Our dog was referred here by our veterinary practice at the end of April this year. Panda had 4 general anaesthetics in 2 weeks, Eastcotts spent our entire £10,000 insurance limit in that time, and diagnosed our dog with an autoimmune condition. We were prescribed immune suppressant steroids.
Panda was severely unwell and taken to a new veterinary practice where he has been diagnosed with a rare fungus disease. He will not survive this due to the spread of the disease between seeing Eastcotts and being assessed at the new referral.
Eastcotts is a dirty practice (faeces left on the reception floor), we waited roughly an hour to be seen and to collect Panda on each occasion, they missed lesions on the CT scan, they misdiagnosed our dog and they are quite clearly only interested in money. Once I refused to bring Panda back in they were suddenly able to prescribe medication over the phone? Etc etc. I also emailed for the CT report to be provided to me at the start of July, and I am yet to receive it.
We have instructed a solicitor. There are plenty of good intentioned specialists out there, please don’t put yourselves in the same position as us.

Their incompetence killed my dog.

Their incompetence killed my dog.
I was referred to them for an MRI scan and an emergency operation based off of said MRI scan.
They waited 3 days to tell me that "they had no surgeons on staff this week" and I was to drive the 3 hours to them, and to transport my dog to another vets who did have vets available to do the life saving surgery because it turns out it was peritonitis, as my vets suspected 3 days prior.
They did not offer to refer me to an emergency animal transport (which I would had glady paid for) who would get him there faster, they did not even care when I asked why they would take on a dog referred to them for emergency surgery when they KNEW they had no surgeons available, and why they would wait 3 days to due the MRI.
I collected my dying dog and rushed him to the other vets, who told me it was days too late to save him, and the kindest thing to do was end his suffering.
Eastcott chased me for the over £4000 bill whilst I carried my dog out through their doors. They even told me I wouldn't be welcome back if I ever 'used that tone with them' ever again, I told them if my dog dies because of them, I hope they all rot in hell. And I really hope they do, because my dog died suffering, dehydrated, and because they hadn't given him enough pain killers, he spent hours in pain.
I will never forgive them for their lack of morality in how they handled this, and if I thought their corrupt system would let me, I would sue them for every penny they had, because that's all they cared about, money.

Awful doesn’t describe this vet clinic

My dog was referred to Eastcott and it’s one of the most awful and expensive experiences of my life. They said they wanted to do a lot of tests/scans (almost all of which had already been done by my own vet. These came to over £8000 and I repeatedly had to chase for results. I never heard back with anything definitive after paying all this money and had to go to yet another vets to get a diagnosis and treatment for my dog.
Avoid at all cost, they are only after your money and as much as possible of it and don’t care about animals or treating them!!!!!!

Where to start

Where to start, first I thought everything was going to be fine, supposed to be professional???when you are a refural you don't pay any excess fee because you have paid it with your vet who has sent you, oh no!!! Not eastcott they demand the money it policy, NO!!! The manager needs to learn a few things about how it works they lead staff, I demanded mine back,
Saw the consultant was reassured everything would be fine NOT!!!!! His skin was left in a terrible mess where they had either used dirty clippers or blunt clippers even my vet was disgusted by the mess of his skin, he had to go on antibiotics & another medicine for weeks, the nurse who discharged him kept looking at the clock like we were taking her time, yet the insurance was paying nearly £5k , if your vet mentioned EASTCOTT VETS RUN, find someone else (vetenary hospital even if you have to travel further for the safety of your pet) ,my dog has had to have another operation which eastcott missed, I have found the perfect refural vets they are amazing 😍 staff know there job, they do keyhole surgery, sorry but would not want to put there name anywhere eastcott name , but trust me they are out there, all eastcott think about is 💰 💰 money, not your pet, when my dog went to this new surgery I had pictures of him in his kennel with stuff around him he knew ,his nurse rang me 3 times,.you can message there nurse at night fabulous place to take a dog on refural too, I would give eastcott zero but I couldn't write this other wise they wouldn't have had one .

AVOID ...I regret using them

AVOID ...I regret using them. On 22nd had appointment for my dog's booster and extra £20 to clear anal gland. I told vet Emma hobbs that my dog's ears are still a problem despite the drops s colleague had prescribed. She inspected and smelled his ears and stated that the yeast infection was still there. She also stated that I should make ANOTHER appointment to prescribe antibiotics! She told me to go to their hospital in dorcan! I'm 79 and a stroke survivor...plus no idea where the hospital is I have to take taxis there and back to BATH ROAD bumping expenses by another £30...in view of the fact I was ALREADY THERE...and no other clients after me.. I think it's very greedy and UNCARING...especially since the drops were USELESS.
No wonder this practice has such awful reviews!!!
I Won't be back!!!

Please avoid if you care about your pet

Please avoid if you care about your pets. We have been referred here on a few occasions and always had a bad experience. Unclear diagnosis that had to be confirmed with another vet. We had an emergency recently. Our dog is in heart failure, and she was in distress. We called in advance and were booked in for an emergency appointment. But when we arrived, we had to wait for 30 min. After that time, they started letting the routine appointments in, while we were waiting with the dog in distress. We were told that primary customers come first, and if we go to another emergency clinic, we would end up paying more. Disgusting. We walked out. If you have an emergency and want your dog looked after, go elsewhere.

Absolutely incompetent

Absolutely incompetent. The simplest tasks in the world take weeks to be accomplished, and they still somehow manage to mess things up. Avoid this practice at all costs unless you do not care about your own pets.

I don’t know why I suffered this vets…

I don’t know why I suffered this vets or even allowed my pets too for so long . The service has continuously been is below any basic Standard, if you complain they say “sorry” like that is worth anything they caused more distress and are 100 per cent purely out for the money. Please if you care for your pets don’t take them there.

Great vets

I have been with this vets for around 8 years now. I chose them because they had the normal vets, hospital and referrals all under the same roof. Over the years both my dogs have had serious operations .... multiple teeth extractions, 2 knee replacements, Cushing's Disease treatment and now the little one had two growths removed from her eyelids. The nurses regularly cut their nails and we have had a few anal gland squeezing :) :) ...... Everyone is brilliant. From the receptionist, nurses, vets ... everyone I have been in contact with over the years has been really great. They claim off the insurance on my behalf which makes life easy. They all so genuinely care for the animals under their care.
What I also like is they work Saturday and Sundays at normal weekly costs, which not many vets do. Yes out of hours is more expensive but would expect that. I love that I can make an appointment for weekend same as if weekday. I highly recommend this vets. 8 years and very happy with them.

Eastcotts Error and I paid for it!

Eastcotts Error and I paid for it!
I signed the claim form they asked me to before leaving. Two weeks later our cat died. Not a criticism in any way of Eastcott Vets. Our cat was very Ill.
Bob was cremated and back under his favourite tree and then I get a message from Eastcott telling me they had asked me to sign the wrong form. Could 'I' sort it out!
I did. Having to complete yet more forms online and speak to our insurance company as the insurance policy had been canceled. Then we got a bill from Eastcott Vets for £90.
Refused to give me the name of the person who sent the email; signed 'The Complaints Team'.
Our local vet and the insurance company sent us cards of condolence and some flower seeds to put under the tree.
Eastcott - a bill for £90 after I'd spent time sorting their error out.

Terrible vet

This is a large vet practice and it seems the quality of staff is very hit and miss. My last visit the vet had a terrible manner she had no compassion or empathy during a very stressful time. Due to this member of staff I would recommend a smaller practice or find one you like at this practice and make sure you get them. If you are unfortunate as I was and have to deal with this person then I feel sorry for you.
