Horrible experience and abysmal service
I had to make last minute arrangements with easy shift because NoBroker movers cancelled my confirmed booking at the last minute (some communication error with the outsourced vendor). The person who took my booking - Yogesh - strung me along with false promises of same day booking, but I realised it was a ruse for me to pay the ₹1500 booking fee. They then postponed my move to the next day assuring me an early morning (8:30) moving time. When they didn’t show up, the same Yogesh lied about their location leading me on with they’re just half an hour away. the movers showed up at 11 - 4 boys who must have not been more than 18 to 20 years old. I noticed that while packing, they kept examining my stuff closely, opening my boxes and asking me questions completely unrelated to the job (how many people live here?, why are you moving?, is the house you’re moving to bigger than this one?) I don’t mind conversations, but I was irritated as is with the lateness and was in mood for small talk, especially since it was eating into the packing time. They did not take care with my items and nicked and cracked furniture and glassware that have survived other moves. There was no sense or pride in their work - they wrapped some plastic products in heavy bubble wrap, did not use bb wrap or used too little for some delicate furniture like a mirror (nicked frame), scratched the edge of my dining table and cracked a beautiful globe glass lamp. They were very unprofessional and more than once I saw them tossing stuff around like it didn’t matter. They did not plan the transport to the destination and so that meant that we had to wait for them to catch up and so stuff could not get unloaded in time - I helped out in the end. After the job was completed, I allowed them to use my bathroom to wash up and when they left, the bathroom was a mess and they broke the handheld shower head, Then they had the nerve to ask me for baksheesh - which I gave the ₹1000 and as they walked away I heard one of them abuse me under their breath (madharchodh). It was a horrible experience and I urge you to think twic before hiring them.
