A really bad idea if you are cosiderting to growth..
We are a technology company and were previously using the open community version of the Redmine product.
We decided to go for a verticalized version maintained by a professional company and our decision was EasyRedmine since at first it seemed that it offered more flexibility and options than others. After more than 5 years we consider that it has been a total mistake and an immense amount of time spent throwing it away.
In the end, its costs are much higher than other more powerful tools such as Monday, Jira or even RedmineUp since they are based on accumulating plug-ins and plugins with added costs until they have an annual cost much higher than the previously mentioned ones.
But the worst and most destructive thing for our company has not been that since we are particularly committed to investing in this type of solutions: The big problem is that the plug-ins they offer are inconsistent, with obvious flaws and the need to hire them directly. hours of consulting to discover in the end that it is not that we had a partial knowledge of the solution but that the plugins do not work correctly... something incredible and frustrating whose only response is to tell you that they are extremely sorry but that your time and money is already in its cash and "this is what it is".
As I said, thousands of hours spent so that more than 5 years later we must start looking for a serious and formal company.
