Barbara-owner of Easylocation- is the straight talking, no bull-s*t Portuguese operator you want representing you when you begin your Portuguese immigration journey. I am just so thankful for Barbara and the team! From the moment I met with Barbara, I knew I was taken care of. She assured me that we would find a rental and boy did we find a dream place for me to call home. She worked with the listing agents and booked a prompt showing and that was it, one showing is all it took for me! This was our first apartment and we were very insecure and anxious about the whole process. Fortunately a friend recommended Barbara and I'm happy to say it all worked out flawlessly. She helped with the search, negotiation, contract revision, all the way to the day we got the keys. Miguel, her assistant, even helped transfer the utility bills to our name, which was a welcome surprise. I would recommend their services to anyone looking to buy an apartment.

I was introduced to Barbara and Easy Relocation in May of 2022 by a serendipitous meeting of two people from my home country, state, and metro area of Mpls/StPaul. I had just found a home under construction in Northern Portugal that began my odyssey in retiring in Portugal. My realtor also said I needed a NIF number quickly to submit an offer and then CPCV. I emailed and introduced myself to Barbara a few days after my return to Minnesota. She promptly replied and we scheduled a WhatsApp call. She reviewed her services but mostly for my first few steps. I was not yet prepared to move or retire (about 2.5 years to go). She obtained my NIF and became my fiscal representative. After she reviewed my offer on the house, she educated me on the risks and legal needs in preparing proper and honored CPCV. We signed a POV (Power of Attorney) so that she and another POV for the attorney to review all property documents and conditions first, and then prepare the CPCV when all legalities and information was credible for me to submit the document to the building owner. She and her lawyer did due diligence and found a few things that I would never have been able to find or translate on my own. The fees for these two vital property steps were fair and inclusive. This property process took seven months. Since I had the time in my retirement, she and I continued in close contact as trials and tribulations presented themselves. After the CPCV written and signed by both parties and my second visit to Portugal and to see construction process, I returned to Minnesota with a big step on its way toward completion. Barbara and I scheduled a next steps of need for my considered relocation. Portuguese bank account, real estate lawyer (local to northern districts) and immigration law and documentation services. She provided three key resource recommendations that I began upon introduction by Barbara to them respectively. Barbara assisted me with questions without charge during my completion of the next steps noted. I closed (deed transfer) of my house in August 2023. I announced my retirement early by a full year as having my home and not sit empty for another year was too much an incentive to take the big step into retirement. I also began the visa application process for D7 residency with her recommendation. The process was extended with much change to the SEF/AIMA causing backlogs of acceptance and the ending of the NHR in October’s announcement. Barbara helped keep me informed of my relocation impacts to this and as the information began to be formalized and understood for those “in process” for visa approval, owning property before October 10, 2023, and further fiscal steps I’d taken, to always remain positive, and factual in what to expect. My visa approval came on January 25, 2024. I booked my flight and would arrive in Portugal February 12, 2024. Barbara advised me to contact promptly after arrival so that she could update my NIF with my Portuguese address, remove her as my fiscal representative, and then a few days later, she had successfully gotten me approved for the NHR with her knowledge in having worked through all the steps with me, and able to speak with them as to my having met all the needs prior to NHR’s official end. Barbara and Easy Relocation come with my highest recommendation in navigating your journey and customized approach if desired.

Barbara was professional, quick, easy and always answered my questions. What I really appreciated is she even helped after we got what we had needed and paid her. I erased an email on accident and Barbara swooped in and saved the day even with a time difference. 💯 recommend her.

Barbara was an amazing and knowledgeable asset as we navigated all the various aspects of our relocation. Her response time was truly remarkable. She was efficient and gave us advice that saved us lots of time and money. She initially gave us a free and thorough overview of her services. She quickly and efficiently obtained our NIFs (I had tried in person without success three times!) and began steps for a bank account. She provided advice about schools and areas to live. As we identified apartments that were potentially a fit, she had a colleague conduct a video call to do a walk through. She reviewed all the contracts and her colleague arranged for services to be set up and met us at the apartment when we arrived.

Barbara is remarkably responsive and continued to be a support and wealth of information as we had questions. Easy Relocation is phenomenal and provided key support and reassurance throughout our process. Rates were fair for things that would have taken me far longer and may not have resulted in success. I recommend Barbara and her team without reservation!
