OK so I've used this app, allot, many restaurants across Melbourne, never once, was the price advertised, and the offer discount, aligned mathematically. There's no use of Australian consumer... See more

Crappy customer service
Both the restaurant I went to and the app were absolutely horrible. I was overcharged because the EatClub prices don’t match the in store menu prices, which is a very dodgy way to “accidentally” overcharge someone. Their customer service is terrible and rude and blatantly refused a refund for the overcharged amount but offered me a voucher. I declined because I will not use them again. My emails went unanswered for a week as well. If they want to keep people using their app they should work harder to provide good customer service.
Good App, Non-Existent Support
The discounts advertised do work, and I've managed to save money using the app, which is why I'm giving it 2 stars instead of less.
However, I've had two separate issues where I needed a refund, and I contacted customer support both times. Unfortunately, I never received a response. It's really frustrating when something goes wrong and there's no way to get help or recover your money.
I also noticed on LinkedIn that EatClub appears to be hiring for multiple business development roles, but I couldn't find any customer service positions. As a customer, that gives the impression that the company is prioritising growth and revenue over supporting the people who already use the app. Whether that's the reality or not, it's certainly how the experience feels when your support requests go unanswered.
Good discounts alone aren't enough. If a company is happy to take customers' money, it also needs to be there when something goes wrong. Ignoring refund requests is unacceptable, and until EatClub invests in proper customer support, I can't recommend it with confidence.
Impossible to get my refund
I've been trying not to get a reimbursement from Eat Club for two weeks. I've sent about 20 messages back and forth with customer service, many of which they've ignored for days until I wrote again, and still no reimbursement. They apologize and say they're waiting on the tech team, but nothing happens and I don't believe they're truly even working on it. Good if it works, but the second you have to interact with customer service it's a kafkaesque maze.
I’ve been using EatClub for quite some…
I’ve been using EatClub for quite some time now, and it’s easily one of the best apps I’ve ever downloaded. The savings are fantastic, the range of restaurant partners is constantly growing, and it’s introduced me to so many incredible places I otherwise would have missed. It’s become my go-to app whenever I’m eating out.
What truly separates EatClub from so many other companies, though, is its customer service—and that’s largely thanks to exceptional people like Rose.
Rose has been nothing short of outstanding. In an era where great customer service is becoming increasingly rare, she has completely restored my faith in what genuine customer care should look like. Every interaction with her has been warm, professional, responsive, and incredibly thoughtful. She doesn’t just resolve issues—she takes ownership of them, follows up proactively, keeps you informed every step of the way, and makes you feel like a genuinely valued customer rather than just another support ticket. Her commitment to delivering an exceptional experience is obvious, and she’s a huge credit to EatClub.
The support I’ve received—from refunds through to follow-ups—has always been handled efficiently and fairly, leaving me with complete confidence in the company. Knowing that people like Rose are behind the scenes gives me every reason to continue recommending EatClub to friends and family.
Outstanding app, outstanding savings, outstanding restaurant variety, and truly world-class customer service. Rose deserves special recognition for the incredible work she does, and EatClub is incredibly fortunate to have someone of her calibre representing the company. She’s the kind of employee who turns satisfied customers into lifelong loyal ones.
The app is an absolute mess - do not use - scam
The app is an absolute mess. The location recognition is embarrassingly inaccurate — it somehow thinks Bristol is in the United States, which is absurd for an app supposedly built around Bristol’s food scene.
Then there’s the digital payment card setup. I followed every step exactly as instructed, but instead of letting me connect the card, customer service pushed me to pay full price and then submit a refund request. I did that, but after reading other users’ experiences, I’m not exactly confident I’ll ever see the full refund.
I even contacted customer service again, and they sent me a text with refund instructions — which, unsurprisingly, did not work either. The support page only offered options to call, text, or email, none of which actually resolved the issue.
And the referral email? Completely pointless. They invite me to refer a friend, yet the link doesn’t work and leads nowhere. Why send out a feature that isn’t even functional?
Overall, the app doesn’t feel reliable, polished, or ready for real users. It certainly doesn’t feel like an efficient way to earn discounts around Bristol.
The Eat Club booking didn't work
The Eat Club booking didn't work. Ended up paying full price. I went to Ombra at Chermside and the app didn't work nor did the Google Wallet.
very bad service the order is delay for…
very bad service the order is delay for 45 mins no rain no agnet is talking not provide the delviery partner number
nothing very bad experience this is the first time and last time to book the order to eatclub.com
All worked well!
I don't know about others' experiences and I'm not saying they aren't true but we paid 8 pounds only for the order that would have cost 40 pounds (thanks to the £15 discount for the first timers). I can't say anything bad about the app. 5/5 stars.
Have contacted fair trading false advertising
Used this three or four times with no problem in the past. Suddenly the offers did not match what was advertised for example they would offer 30% off but then a payment. I would only receive about 15% off. I emailed them to complain that this is misleading and false advertising and they have banned my account and blatantlynot responded properly to my emails. I’ve now contacted Fair Trading.
I’m extremely frustrated with EatClub
I’m extremely frustrated with EatClub. My order, promised in 25 to 30 minutes, ended up taking over an hour with no updates. I tried contacting support, but all I got were automated responses and no real help. On top of that, I’ve received the wrong order on many occasions. This ongoing pattern of poor service is unacceptable, and I expect much better.
Works some of the time.
Only seems to work some of the time. Take your pick but be prepared to pay the full price. 🤷
Great experience in London restaurants
I found this app and used it two days running to discover and try some wonderful restaurants new to me in London. I was a bit cynical at first and after looking at these reviews thought maybe it was too good to be true. However it is really brilliant. Do discrete and easy. No awkward conversations, or negotiations with some apps I’ve used you’ve had to buy overpriced drinks to get deals. Or there have been odd rules in what you could and couldn’t order. Getting the discount on the full bill is great. I’ve definitely gone for more expensive dishes and drink than I would normally. I’m telling all my friends as this app is great. The first restaurant was a little quiet so the atmosphere was a little less than a busier place but the food and service was tip top. I’m a new user and was very careful to do everything properly. Very happy.
An amazing app
An amazing app, incredible discounts, works exactly how they said it would
Great discounts and excellent service
Used three times now and had a very good experience. Substantial discounts at good restaurants. The discount includes drinks. It's very discreet as it's all done through the app so no awkward conversations with waitstaff to confirm discounts.
Customer service also excellent when I had a small problem with it once.
Huge savings
I have been using the app for months now, and only once have experienced a glitch. When I emailed them about my complaint, the issue was resolved and my refund given within one day.
This is the only one time I have had a problem. I have already saved hundreds of dollars.
Absolutely fantastic app
Absolutely fantastic app. I have saved hundreds of dollars eating out. And it encourages you to try different venues.
Be warned it is a scam
Be warned it is a scam! I Was told by eat club when I made a complaint due to my card not working when I tapped at the end of the meal, I had been to the wrong restaurant. It was the correct restaurant they were using any excuse not to cover the don’t!
I actually missed applying my voucher…
I actually missed applying my voucher for eatclub & paid full price. I wrote to eatclub & their customer service was excellent. Was onto my case & resolved it after verifying proof of purchase & validity of time & date. I got my refund. Very happy with outcome.
